When the Pittsburgh voters decided to turn Phantom's track purple, I was on the fence, but pleasantly shocked at the transformation. It looks sharp with Thunderbolt's track. Those are Sigma Phi Epsilon colors. Love it. Phantom is one of America's finest.
I was speechless when I first rode Steel Eel. It has some of the most powerful airtime I’ve ever experienced, this coaster needs to have more recognition!
My wife and I went to SDC last spring and stopped at Worlds of Fun for a few hours before our flight home. Can confirm Mamba was running trimless and as a result it was genuinely awesome. Tons of airtime. Morgans, other than Phantom's Revenge anyway, live or die on those MCBRs.
I just got a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass and Dorney will become one of my new pseudo home parks along with Great Adventure and New England, so I’ll be riding Steel Force a lot this year, so I’ll see how it rides. I might also get on Phantom’s as well but I’m not so sure on that.
It sucks you did not get to experience Mamba in 2022. It truly ran incredible. In its current state (trimless) I found it to be better than Lightning Run and right now I have it placed behind Outlaw Run and Mr. Freeze as the third best coaster in Missouri.
I totally agree, I rode it for my first time at nighttime end of October this year, and it rode practically trim-less, and it is probably in my top 10 now, had so much airtime and it was ripping!
I was wondering what nonsense could possibly put Lightning Run that low, but actually, the reasoning checks out! I hope to get on Phantom's Revenge this year
Mamba wasn't completely trimless in 2022, but you could barely feel it. It was very gentle, while in the past, it was quite harsh. I would put it ahead of Steel Eel now.
My ranking of the ones I’ve ridden is a bit different than most: 1. Phantom’s 2. Lightning Run 3. Steel Force 4. Mamba 5. Steel Eel 6. Wild Thing 7. Superman El Ultimo Escape 8. Nickelodeon Slime Streak 9. Quicksilver Express
@@CanobieCoaster The best part for me was the view. But there wasn’t even the slightest threat of any airtime anywhere. To me all the slopes seemed quite gradual. I’m clearly in a minority in this, so I’ll have to give it another chance some day.
The only 2 Morgan coasters I have ridden are Steel Force and Phantom's Revenge. It comes as no surprise that Phantom's Revenge is the best. It is also my number 5 overall.
Iv only ridden Lightning Run and I will say that is easily one of the best coasters of all time that I have ridden. The fact that I find that Chance Hyper GTX better than RMCs is crazy. I really hope to see more of those become a thing. Maybe the ones with inversions or I don't care if they are clones of Lrun. That is the best thing about Chance, I haven't ridden any Morgan's though but those hypers look to be slightly outdated. Mamba is still good I hear, they should still keep them.
What would you prefer, a Morgan hyper coaster with airtimeless bunny hills, a Morgan hyper coaster with bunny hills that give weak airtime, or a Morgan hyper coaster with bunny hills that give Magnum airtime?
Met and talked with Ed Morgan (once) and his son Dana several times at IAAPA Expo. Dana did some amazing stuff! Would love to see Chance build more coasters as well. Great flat rides and trains. There are 3 Ferris Wheels & 3 CP Huntington trains in the Houston, Kemah, Galveston area. Would not complain If Kemah got a new Chance coaster to travel above the area. If I see Tilman, I'll ask him.
I really want to like Steel Eel. And the first time I visited the park I really did. But I came back 5 years later and the pain on the valleys hit much harder than I remembered. I have no idea if anything changed. But it really does hurt. I have to brace for those valleys and doing so really ruins the airtime and the overall experience.
What did you say on Nickelodeon Slime Streak at Nickelodeon Universe that it's the smoothest coaster at this park by far. Why? Because the park's other coasters...
I was asking you the comparisons of the second hill, referring to the hill after the first drop on those three hyper coasters in the Cedar Fair chain, because on Wild Thing, Canobie Coaster said: And then the second hill is one of the most sustained airtime moments in the world.
What are the differences between the second hill on Mamba at Worlds of Fun, the second hill on Steel Force at Dorney Park, and the second hill on Wild Thing at Valleyfair? What do you think?
When the Pittsburgh voters decided to turn Phantom's track purple, I was on the fence, but pleasantly shocked at the transformation. It looks sharp with Thunderbolt's track.
Those are Sigma Phi Epsilon colors. Love it. Phantom is one of America's finest.
I prefer the green, but the ride is still elite.
This was really informative! This is one of the manufacturer groups that I don’t know too much about or have been on any of their rides
I hope they can keep building more.
I was speechless when I first rode Steel Eel. It has some of the most powerful airtime I’ve ever experienced, this coaster needs to have more recognition!
I know some find it too uncomfortable, but I love the power.
Hope it continues to run like that.
Mamba this year in row 17 (second to back row) was AMAZING--especially when the weather is 85 and up
I hope it keeps running like that.
Enjoy Dorney!

Hopefully they'll keep running it that way.
time traveler??
6:47 That’s an excellent transition.
Thank you!
Lightning run was a huge surprise to me I didn't really know what to expect before I road it and I think it's a fantastic ride
It really is!
I’ve only ridden Mamba and Steel Eel on your list but Joker Funhouse at SFOG is my favorite kiddie coaster
Joker Funhouse is good for its size.
Steel force gets way to much hate its a great ride with some solid airtime.
I always have enjoyed it.
Way underrated!
I'm biased because I grew up with Steel Force, but I've always loved that coaster.
From what I heard, it seems it can depend when you ride.
I totally agree, I rode it for my first time at nighttime end of October this year, and it rode practically trim-less, and it is probably in my top 10 now, had so much airtime and it was ripping!
Great video! These sound like some good coasters!
They are!
I was wondering what nonsense could possibly put Lightning Run that low, but actually, the reasoning checks out! I hope to get on Phantom's Revenge this year
The later Morgans were better.
Mamba wasn't completely trimless in 2022, but you could barely feel it. It was very gentle, while in the past, it was quite harsh. I would put it ahead of Steel Eel now.
I'll have to get back there.
It was definitely safe of me to assume that Toboggan didn't make the cut lol
Absolutely.
My favorite is The Phantoms Revenge at Kennywood followed by Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio and Wild Thing at Valleyfair.
Phantom runs away with the field for me.
My ranking of the ones I’ve ridden is a bit different than most:
1. Phantom’s
2. Lightning Run
3. Steel Force
4. Mamba
5. Steel Eel
6. Wild Thing
7. Superman El Ultimo Escape
8. Nickelodeon Slime Streak
9. Quicksilver Express
Surprised you have Superman so low. Guessing it trimmed hard for the end? I know it can do that if they have a train stacked on the brake run.
@@CanobieCoaster The best part for me was the view. But there wasn’t even the slightest threat of any airtime anywhere. To me all the slopes seemed quite gradual. I’m clearly in a minority in this, so I’ll have to give it another chance some day.
The airtime from the drop on Santa Monica West Coaster lasts twice as long as it looks like it should.
It's surprising.
Mamba was running like a bat(or snake?) out of hell this past season it was amazing I was graying out and seeing stars on the return trip
I'll have to get back there.
The only 2 Morgan coasters I have ridden are Steel Force and Phantom's Revenge. It comes as no surprise that Phantom's Revenge is the best. It is also my number 5 overall.
That's the runaway favorite for me too.
Steel Force is very underrated
Yes it is.
For me, gotta be Lightning Run. Like you said it rides like an RMC. Plus, it's only 2 hours from my house.
Few rides of that size are better. I just prefer some rides with extra speed and crazy elements.
Mistaken: It was designed by Joe Draves, he's worked with Allen though and has admitted they have very similar design philosophies.

I hope Chance can build more GTXs.
Haven’t ridden too many of these coasters
They're not the most common rides.
What would you prefer, a Morgan hyper coaster with airtimeless bunny hills, a Morgan hyper coaster with bunny hills that give weak airtime, or a Morgan hyper coaster with bunny hills that give Magnum airtime?
Magnum airtime
I haven’t ridden anything from chance or morgan. But Superman, steel eel, phantoms. And the hyper gtx look the best
Phantom is their clear best ride to me.

Chance seems to do well with what they're given.
What's the Vekoma coaster did you like the least?
Blue Tornado at Gardaland.
I completely understand.
If Doing From Purely Morgan Its
6 Santa Monica West Coaster
5 Wild Thing
4 Mamba
3 Steel Eel
2 Steel Force
1 Phantom's Revenge
Mamba is now better than Steel Force for me since I rode it trimless.
How did the Santa Monica boardwalk coaster make this list. Fact there is zero airtime on it even in the back
I've ridden it two separate years, got airtime both times.
What did you say on Nickelodeon Slime Streak at Nickelodeon Universe that it's the smoothest coaster at this park by far. Why? Because the park's other coasters...
A lot of coasters at that park rattle.
“Never missing a Chance” hahaha
Lol
IMO, Mamba has the superior helix and transition into the MCBR. That pseudo double up has some good airtime upfront.
I do like that kink on the helix.
@@CanobieCoaster I thought it was more of a double up
Steel Eel third car middle row offers healthy air time without the pain.
That's fair!
What's the Schwarzkopf coaster did you like the least in the world?
Nightmare at Great Escape.
what means "borderline" from borderline painful?
On the edge.
Chance is arrow. They use arrow track and arrow suspended track for family coasters.
Different manufacturers, but similar track designs.
@@CanobieCoaster I get they are different company's but come on they are the same 😆 at least morgan and arrow were pretty much the same.
The Gerstlauer coaster did you like the least in the world was
Smurf Village Express. Not a bad ride, but it's a junior coaster as opposed to their larger rides I've been on.
What's the roller coaster did you like the most in the world? What's the roller coaster did you like the least in the world?
Lightning Rod is my favorite. Coaster Express is my least favorite.
4:40 Was that pun intendet?
Yes
Isn't steel dragon a togo?
Nope. It was built by D.H. Morgan Manufacturing.
Nope, Morgan.
Lot of potential with this company, I hope another park gives them a *chance* (unfunny joke)
Me too.
Always leave safety to Chance
Chance is safe.
top 10
Yes
I kinda wish Morgan never went bankrupt
Me too.
Nickelodeon Slime Streak is very snug with the trains I wasn’t too uncomfortable but my dad was very uncomfortable
It's brutal if you're tall.
the worst Gerstlauer coaster for you was
Smurf Village Express. Not a bad ride, but it's a junior coaster as opposed to their larger rides I've been on.
Why does he talk like a robot? 🤖
Sorry if I sound like one!
first
pin me
Nice!

Yes it is on Wild Thing.
What are the differences between the second hill on Mamba at Worlds of Fun, the second hill on Steel Force at Dorney Park, and the second hill on Wild Thing at Valleyfair? What do you think?
I like Wild Thing's best since it's smaller, so the airtime is stronger and also more sustained.
So what would you rate Mamba, when it ran trimmed and when it ran untrimmed?
I have an old and updated review.
Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio was not in your video of top 25 worst roller coasters in the world (2020), why?
I enjoy the ride and its airtime.
Top 25 worst roller coasters in the world (2020) by Canobie Coaster didn't include Steel Eel, that's because the coasters placed in that video...
Were more painful and had worse layouts.
