Take care and shoot straight
I love relaxing and listening to my buddy Jim blather on.
Nice shooting! I'd be struggling to put five arrows into a beach ball......
Pretty bow and reasonably priced. Thanks for posting. 👍😃
what is a bow that is not an intermediate/beginner bow?
Jim! Always a pleasure to watch! Have you considered the high end bows... like the great plains take down?
Could be fun to see a comparison of 3 bows: a beginner/budget bow, a "middle class bow" and the "Rolls Royce bow" just to get clarified what you get for the extra money in the end.
cheers!
Peter
i agree, own a black hawk which i think is fine but would like to see budget vs medium vs high end.
Can I second this?!
Nice. ..very similar to my Samick Redstag
Can you do the Martin Savannah Longbow? Just a suggestion. :)
Can you please do a video about the bearpaw redman its my dream bow and looks so good but want to buy the best quality for the money
Jim, what kind of shooting glove do you use in this video? Thanks!
No such thing as an entry level bow. If it shoots like a longbow then it's a longbow . They all work, custom or not. A trad bow is a bow.
maybe the word entry level refers to the pricepoint?
@@diegoveloso3rd That is what I was thinking.
Jim please do a Bucktrail Antelope review!
merlin archery was wondering if u can do a review on the bear takedown recurve.

do the viper plz??
Will befor get one very soon! Just waiting for the new modes to come in :)
What about stacking? My draw is close to 32"...
i dont get out enough my club is a long way of and i cant find another one near to me
Great video, cool bow. Most of my stickbows have some hand shock, no big deal except for the crybabys out there. Keep up the good work with the reviews.
ive got a buck trail blackhawk and i love but i'm thinking of getting an upgrade any suggestions?
What's your budget? :)
About £300 ish
Thought about a timber creek?
yer i have they look awesome but i cant really decide on which one to get. im torn between the viper and the cottonmouth. which one would you recommend?
Hehe I have a Blackhawk too. Gonna go for one of the Cottonmouths as soon as I can!
Ironically , I also shoot from long bow Eagle but from Holland
nice video! what longbow, and re-curve, would you recommend in the 350-450$ range mostly roving with some small game and deer hunting, 40-50# 28.5 draw
Saw your post. I think you will find many nice bows in your price range. Suggest you get 45# at a minimum. That is about the minimum recommended for small and big game. Also great for target shooting. Mark
Hi I have a question I have a vintage bear Kodiak magnum I just bought on eBay and it has minor scratches in it is there any way to take the scratches out
toothpaste is a minor abrasive give that a try
Hi Jim this is Rodney from Texas i have a ? For you , Have you made a bow review of the Bear Kodiak takedown and if so could you tell me what its labeled and if not , then would you please im in process of selling my compound equip and switching over to trad and im stuck btween two bows the bear and a striker sport but i have now where close to try either out id love to see the bear's profermance up close (in your review) thanks alot
Also i have a question i shoot a 27 " draw n i mainly hunt whitetail deer and hogs like i siad im switching to trad and i have a two part worry . What poundage to ise for my quarry id like to shoot around 45 pounds so to not over bow my self im good holding 45# for 10 sec and 50# for almost 10 more like 7-8 sec so i thought i should go with 45# till i get my form good but will 45 # be enough to make an ethical kill? My mind is still set on 70# compound your advice and opinion on this would sure help my confidence level i kno you dont hunt much but your knowledge of trad bows is way more extensive than mine thanks brother for the help.
Or should i go with 50# and grow into it cant afford to buy bow after bow?
Could someone do me a favour and recommend some arrows to go with a timber creek cottonmouth? It's a 30# draw weight and I have a 28" draw. I'd prefer wooden arrows but I'm not married to them.
I'm a relatively new archer, just passed my beginner's course, so I'm pretty lost when it comes to what kind of arrows to get, I'm not sure how to figure out what spine I need or even how to read spine ratings since different arrows seem to have different rating systems - any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Hi, the cottonmouth is quite a fast bow. I would personally recommend you 35#-40# spined wooden arrows, no less than 29 inches in length.
As for carbon arrows, 700 spine at 30 inches long would probably be as close as you can match them (without actually bareshaft testing the arrows through that bow). With a 100 grain tip or so.
800 spine arrow with lighter tip at 29 inches long should do fine as well.

Ah thanks so much, that's exactly the kind of info I was looking for! :)
Did Jim get his kids yet!?
You hit tennisball on comand so it is time to 2nd round about that 6balloon shot to beat your boss.🏹😐😉
