The Toyota Land Cruiser (Toyota Rando-kurūzā) is a series of four-wheel drive vehicles produced by the Japanese car maker Toyota. It is Toyota's longest running series. In 2002, a 5-year development plan on a successor to the 100-series platform commenced under Sadayoshi Koyari and Tetsuya Tada. By 2004, 10 years after the design selection of its predecessor in 1994, a final production design was settled on for the 2008 J200. Prototype related tests were conducted for over 2 years between 2004 and early 2007. The redesigned Toyota Land Cruiser was introduced in late 2007. Known as the 200 Series, it shares the Lexus LX 570's platform and overall design. The frame was new, derived from the second-generation Tundra.

My dad gotta a 2008 lc200 vxr (top end) and a 2000 Lc100 gxr manual
Bought both of them brand new lc100 has 450k+ km sand still running strong
The LC200 has 200k+ miles was involved in an accident twice but still run fine
We've driven them from Kuwait to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Dubai and done a lot of off-roading
Never broke down on the road

People will say they can buy mercedes GLS or Audi Q7 or even a range rover over this but they have no idea what this is,it has a long history and probably the best luxury off roader with range rover but what makes this vehicle special is that it is the best car ever built and can last longer than any car,will start even after 20 years without any problems and by the time those mercedes and audis will be scrapped but Toyota should have added something more but they think this is a standard one and lexus LX is the full luxurious one

I like how simply all the controls are laid out in this car. Especially the steering wheel controls. Super expensive car but the controls are so easy to understand. Anyone coming from cheaper regular people cars will also be able to understand the system in less than a minute. Other VW and Land Rover offerings make the simplest things so difficult to find in their touchscreen based interfaces. The simplicity of this car lends to it's luxury.
Price is 3times, 2/3 of the price is import duties and taxes only 1/3 is the price of this car

This car is legend in the world but not in India.I don't know why it costs so much in our India in fact why they don't manufacture this beast in our country.It costs around 50 lakh on road in Dubai and most parts but here it's 1.5 crores it's not at all value for money 👎 but a great car

Cause it's Toyota.. even for fortuner for a big engine only 177 bhp..
Lower out put per litre of engine capacity will lead to lower stress to the engine and better reliability. ( That’s what Toyota is known for)
