  • Winner of the 2008 Jordanian Band Competition.
Their new album "1944" was released in February 2011.
Salam picked up the guitar at age 14; he received no formal training, and is completely self taught. Only a few months later, he won a regional talent contest, hosted by Yamaha, for playing an original piece on his guitar. He spent the next couple of years exploring different styles, and exposing himself to everything from Latin to Rock music.
He performed his first live concert at the age of 16, when he participated in Rock Aid, a charity event hosted by the American British Academy (ABA), in Muscat.

Anyone care to translate the lyrics? I know some Arabic, but I'm guessing this is the Jordanian dialect?

      yes it's Jordanian band
      the lyrics are
hide me hide me o night
      o night ,, hide me
      I only had your love
let's stay together , me and you
little by little , you are closing my eyes
      o night coat me ..
      Don't leave my hand
      o night..

      Hey, shukran.:)
I only know Mecca/ Medina Arabic, so I thought 'al layl' meant 'the night'. So in Jordanian Arabic, what does 'khabeeni' mean? Does it also mean 'the night'?
