OH MY GOD, this song is the reason why I bought an Irish tin whistle Yesterday spontaneously and now i even found a great tutorial „on accident“ (but not really on accident, I just went through the vids on your channel for inspiration).
Oh blimey! I didn't read the screen and thought that first bit was the "slow play through"! I thought I'll never be able to follow along - so thanks for the real slow play through! :) Lovely song, used to listen to that and sing along to the Dubliners...
You're so beautiful, and you've taught me so many songs. It's 4:26Am and I'm just sat here sad, but you've helped people more than you can ever imagine, thank you, ilysm.

Oehh thanks for the slow play through! Will keep trying till I can play along with you but that might take some time. Cant wait for your next upload :D
I've literally JUST received my first tin whistle, I think they're amazing but I've never been able to play an instrument in my life, why am I watching this video
I have been trying to play this for a few months but everything didn't really work but this is perfect as usual, great video and greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Great Job ...again !!! Could you please include a tutorial on how to use a metronome while practicing sometime ?? Thanks always !! Keep up the GREAT job.
Mhaith dhu a Chara! Good on you my friend! Great video and the way you have your tutorials is an easily interactive way to learn the songs. I would would be eternally grateful if you could make a tutorial for 'After the Battle of Aughrim' it's a really beautiful piece of you don't know it already. Dia Duit agus Slán!
Great Stuff! I started with the whistle and play the bagpipes now. I actually try to play the pipe tunes on the whistle so I don't have to relearn the music. Have you ever seen this song in whistle music: Óró Sé do Bheatha Bhaile. When Sineed O'Connor sings this, it is amazing.
This is my all time favourite whistle tune, thank you for doing this tutorial. Don't suppose you have the video file to download so I can watch and try to learn offline.
Another great video! If I am not at the point where I can figure a song out by listening, is there another instrument's sheet music/notes I can use to guide me on songs you haven't covered? Thanks!
Great tutorial and great song. Going to want something slow after that one! May I suggest Przemysław Laszczyk - Clever Clogs (feat Percival) - It's from The Witcher 3 soundtrack and has a great little hook that I just cannot get out of my head and must know how to play. It's a beautiful track yet there's no covers or tutorials for any section of the song & much to my chagrin was not included in the official OST (It does have a long string only section in the middle but the whistle/flute sections are lovely).
I am just beginning the process of learning this amazing little instrument. I purchased an inexpensive unit to start but I would like a more professional unit that has quality sound. I have watched your "tubes" and I am impressed with your talent and the sound. Can you recommend a quality Irish Whistle? Thank you for your kindness
@@CutiepieTinWhistle Thank you Cutie Pie (I used to call my wife that 🙂). I will go through the list and decide with which instrument I feel most comfortable. I look forward to studying and learning from your station. Have an amazing day
That was beautiful. Is it possible to do tabs for "Irish Blessing", I adore that tune and would love to learn to play it. Thank you for all you do...much appreciated.
I think this is the mode of A dorian. Interestingly, the third (C natural) is omitted so it stays completely diatonic. Fair to say it could be transposed without too much trouble to E dorian as well?
Hi CutiePie, First, thanks for your videos and contant, it's very helpful for a lot of people! Second, I have a note for this specific tutorial. The reason that this tune is confusing is beacuse it's played in a time signature of 9/8. The pause that you nake on the G note in the end of the second part is too long and inaccurate. I think that it would be better to focus on the subject of time signature in your next videos. This is one the basic ability for a player. Thanks again for your original and invested channel!
No one's perfect 😂 least of all me...and it's sometimes difficult to work out the exactly time signatures, now lengths and rhythm when you have no musical experience, don't read sheet, and play by ear 😂 All I'm really going for (along with most of the beginners here I think) is something that sounds nice and is relatively achievable 😊 You'll find most of the tunes on my channel are the 'CutiePie' interpretation. I don't play for perfection though, just for enjoyment. Lucky, if you've managed to work out the errors in this one, you don't need my tutorial! So you're doing great! Congrats. x
D is the key most often used for Irish folk music, and Traditional Irish music is what a lot of people play tin whistle for :) if you plan to play in sessions with folk musicians, D is the most useful key. Tutorials are usually in D on RUclips, as most people have a D whistle (for the reasons above). If you plan to play alongside other instruments, such as piano, violin, etc, or don't wish to play Irish /folk music, a C whistle might be more useful. Luckily, tin whistles are cheap, so most whistlers end up with a whistle in every key :)
@@CutiepieTinWhistle It makes sense, I am a guitar and ocarina player I dont know flok musicians yet so I will go with a C for now, and maybe D later, it s a good advice Thank you so much for your reply :) Btw, I dont know anything about tin whistles, which one would you recommand me ?
