So I'm 58 miles in on the bike, and I'm not kidding when I say this, when i first got it which was like 3 weeks ago, I crashed within 5 minutes of riding it, and it's probably bc I haven't road a bike for like 8 years, but know I'm good with it, I keep geting better at sharper turns but it's great. If anybody wants a good cheap ebike, this is the one. Thank you for making videos, keep it up
Awesome you’re getting more comfortable on it! Just keep in mind anything above 20ish km/h you want to lean more into your turns vs actually using the handlebars to turn and anything under that is less lean and more handlebar
Awesome to hear! I think with the stock knobby tires at essentially full power the entire time my range capped at 20km. Since swapping out street tires I think I’m closer to 25km
Lol idk if you’re using a GoPro or not but when you turn your head at an angle it sounds like your in a tunnel and I just noticed the same thing on my bike ride. It sounds funny
Deflate the tires. Spray soapy water around the the bead and then pump up to max psi of the tires. Always works for me. That bump you are feeling is the tire is not even all the way around the rim. You should hear a pop when the bead seats on the rim properly.
That’s awesome to hear, glad you’re really enjoying it! Keep pushing yourself and finding your and the bikes limits because it makes for some incredible experiences
I had a similar issue with my Zugo Rhino and it was the tire not mounted flush on the rim .... What i mean it is deeper into the rim on one side and not the other side Let the air out of the tire and try and spin just the tire and position it onto the rim better. Once you put air in it look at the little lip that mounts near the rim and you will see what i mean . You have to try and get it flush so it dont feel like there is a flat spot ..... Get a bottle of water and a lil dish soap and spray the rim and tire mating area and it should help you better . Dont keep riding it the way it is cause you will wear out the bearings in the wheels prematurely from spinning properly
Nice tires. I went with CST big boat street tires on my Jansno x50 and I noticed a range and acceleration improvment right away. You won't get any more top speed as that's determined by voltage and rpm of the motor, but you will get up there faster and have big range increase and noise reduction getting off those knobbies. You'll also you'll notice going a bit faster up say a hill because the bike is not fighting the knobbies, or against the wind, etc. The thing is, they are the same price as the knobby tires so why the f$ck would they put knobbies on a street bike in the first place?
My guess is to take wider advantage of markets, every time I see these bikes for sale they mention sand and snow capable which I assume works better with knobbies.
They only squeak when I don’t brake right, try applying less pressure sooner and slowly tighten your grip as you approach your stopping point. If you’re just going 100% at the last second you’ll have issues, the same issues you’d have using any vehicle with brakes.
Sorry boss the screen says KM beside the number not MI. I’m shocked how many people can see the number but ignore the letters beside it and ask this question. Or somehow watch the video where I talk about range in km but somehow assume the speedo is in miles?
I’m working on it, sadly it’s my main commuter from work and it’s pretty much dead when I get home. I can really only shoot a vid once a week until I get other bikes

@@RoamingWithRomain thank you for the tips
Just got mine this morning, rode it right to work after putting it together. Sick bike, good speed. gonna do my own range test tomorrow

i might get the ridstar in a week or two. just wondering do you have the 1000w motor or the 1500w motor, and is it easy to get up hills.
Update: i hit 100 miles on it yesterday, 125 today, getting a lot better on the leans for turns, great bike, and great video

Might tryout the amyet s8 for dual motor but only has one battery and kinda the same style as q20 and only 1300 with shipping
Have you watched videos on it? I’m curious what they say the range is like having the single battery being used by two motors
@@RoamingWithRomain you can still change to only using one motor but someone said one motor is about 30-50 miles and both motor s is about 15-20
@@RoamingWithRomain there is nowhere near as many videos as the q20 and q20 pro sadly
Those numbers seem pretty accurate for range, it’s handy you don’t have to use both all the time!
@@RoamingWithRomain I wonder if it’s a good alternative to the q20 pro since it just has less range basically but only cost 1300 with shipping

how fast is the one in the video?
46kmh which I believe is 33mph
Can I add another battery to get more range on my aGF750?
I’m not familiar with the GF750, you may want to ask that question on a video about that bike. The ridstar q20 in the video goes 33mph or 46kmh
Not sure which province you reside in but are worried about potential bans like the Quebec province introduced?
I’m in Ontario so I have no concerns over anything Quebec try’s to or wants to do regarding it.
Were your brakes squeaky when you first got the bike?

I have one and it tops out at 33
I’m Canadian it’s set to km not mi and shows it beside the speed fairly clearly on screen.
How do you get the top speed to 45??
45kmh is 33mph
@@RoamingWithRomain might wanan put that in your vid desrciptions lol

46km/h, roughly 33mph

I didn’t, it’s set in km
