Man remember owning this phone in college. Such an underrated phone. Remember loving how huge it was.

I got this phone and have to say I have always wanted a phone this big that didn't come with all the bloat ware and the battery 🔋 life is awesome the best I have ever used. The sound quality is HD. The camera is just what your review said adequate but still decent. I just love that it stays pure almost a Nexus experience but with away better battery 🔋.
I have note 3 with a slight crack. I am switching from a Att.contract to a non contract don't know which one cricket version t-mobile. Thinking of keeping my note 3 but really like the ZTE. Any advise.
I need to know if the zte zmax allows you to easily move photos and videos to existing folders simply by holding down on the pic or vid and selecting "move" My lgl70 allows for easy moving without using a file manager. Also does it have a video trimming option? Please respond soon as I may be planning on getting this for metro pcs
my father have the zte z max, everytime I take a pic with his phone and send it to my note 4. it's not showing clear on my phone, but showing clear on his. any ideas?

I'm really happy with mine. I got one kind of on a whim after my Sony Xperia got stolen, and so far I have absolutely no complaints. It's a pretty amazing phone for the price!

Id should have known something was bad in the mixs when you got a name for a phone that goes - ZTE GRAND X MAX+ PLUS. That like riding in a car with a name SUPER HYPER JUNK IN THE TRUNK ZOOM ZOOM! Well the speakers on it is so low that it's almost impossible to hear, gorilla glass? It slipped out of my hand and flipped one time onto a table and cracked with a thick phone protector the camera is slow as fuc. the other function on it just so so. The only up side is it's screen and it's size. Other then that there's nothing special about this phone. Im going back to the samsung galaxy class and enjoy what I left for this PiceOfShh-it! I maybe judging it too hard but that's jest me ....... yeah im over judging it a bit..
MrOwwl I used to have the LG L90 and comparing to zte zmax I think it's way better than the l90. It would always freeze up on me. So far the zte zmax runs super smooth and the screen is crystal clear. yeah the camera could be a little better but as long as it is capable to capture OK in 1080p I'm happy. I'm thinking this day in age 1080p for cameras and displays is a must for almost any smart phone these days. The only down side I see is the size as it can easily be dropped so a protector is a must unless you like living dangerously. I accidentally dropped my old phone into a lawn mower.....it was not pretty...I don't think there's a phone protector strong enough on the planet to protect against lawn mower blades....

Why does everybody keep comparing this phone to the $600 phones that are out there. That just makes this phone look bad or not up to par but if you were to compare it to other phones in its price range you would see how far superior this phone is and even then this phone is still better then some of the $400 or $500 phones that are out there now
Exactly. That's why I bought this phone. For $200 bucks, you really can't beat it. I got the extras at the store and out the door cost was 253 and change. That includes a cover that pops out to be a stand and a new screen protector. I'm happy with my purchase

I got that for my phone, it's pretty neat. Plus I can stick in there my credit card and money.
nrsagittarius they offered me that but I wanted a black rubber cover. It has an outer plastic cover that goes over it and has a 45 degree pop out kick stand. Then it comes with an cover that goes over the front of the phone that has a clip so you could put your phone on your belt buckle
I have this phone,and I'd have to say,this is the best phone that I've ever had.Not only does it come with a great battery,that's able to last me two days with one full charge,it also has a great speaker.I'd have to say it's too loud,but there's nothing wrong with that.I even get many awesome compliments about my phone.Great job ZTE.

I pick mine up also at MetroPCS for $99 and I pay $50 a month. I love it!!. I've never been so happy with a phone in my life. My previous phone was a galaxy Samsung and it was too expensive to replace once I lost my galaxy so I got this one and I am quite pleased.

Does anybody know how to take this thing apart?! I got the back cover off and the 10 screws out. That's as far as I got. What the hell were these screws holding in? Nothing came off after I took them out!

You can only do that with videos on your SD Card or Internal Memory.

I have one of these which I use as a mini-tablet. The screen quality is quite good and it handles well. I would prefer pure Android, but the skin is not as obtrusive as on the Huawei Ascend Mate 2. Battery life is excellent.
Hi John, can you pop out a RUclips video, for multi-tasking, as well with the ZMAX? I noticed you demonstrated how to for gaming, but I would love to pop out while watching RUclips videos. Is it possible? If so, can you advise me on how to do it? Thanks
For some reason, my screen flickers in the corners every once in a while. Has anyone else had this issue? Also, there are times when the wifi doesn't work properly. It says I have wifi but there is no connection. Then I turn the wifi off and then back on but then it only shows my saved networks. Then I have to reboot the phone. Anyone else?

I just got this for the family mobile plan . I got it for $193 ,i thought it was great considering that I was going to get the samsung galaxy 4 .But I'm glad I got this one .I expected to hear better about it .I guess I should do my research on phones .

I've had this phone for about 3 months already & I honesty have nothing good nor bad to say about this phone , most of the time the camera is slow but 45% of the time is always takes great pictures on the first shot

It doesn't have NFC. Probably my only problem with it, but for $200 I can live with it.
I have this phone, it's so cool, really speedy, screen quality in nice, camera quality is ok, battery life is amazing, overall I great cheap phablet, just a really wide one.

Switched from Samsung s4 to thus ZTE. I couldn't be happier.
If you guys still have a problem with the battery, just use the built int Dolby equalizer. I don't see why people don't talk about the equalizer as much. The built-in Dolby Audio is not only great for headphone enhancement, but it also boosts the speaker considerably, as long as you put it on a bass-easy mode such as talk.
I love the phone but one problem when I use a Bluetooth I cannot hear the call waiting when some else is trying to reach me other than that it is fine.
I just picked this phone up for $99 at metro PCS, I'm running off the T-Mobile 4gLte for $50 a month unlimited everything. I can't believe people are paying such outrageous prices for phones in general, let alone this phone. Go to MetroPCS, pay $99 for it and $50 a month with no contract and laugh at everybody paying for their namebrand crap

Channon Williams i have metro pcs and their phone service is good for what you pay for. customer service is a bitch, and my number seems to always being put i out there by them. They have nice phones, but not the best. Standard features, and there isn't mhl or slimport compatible phones sold by them anywhere, which is something i am highly picky about. but if you.are looking for something straight forward and basic, they're for you.

I got my phone from my parents last year it's was a early Christmas gift, my was cost $250 but my sister and my mom have a same phone their phones is Galaxy 5 and their phones cost $600.
I have this phone and literally do everything on it. Got Microsoft word, PowerPoint,excel, outlook, and onenote all work fine. have 3 different emails. and have video recorded some lectures from school. Netflix, mlb and nba on it as well this phone is great for about 75% less than an iPhone or samsung galaxy phone. We are basically sacrificing some megapixels and the multitask opting which would be nice to have. but over all 5/5 love this phone

T-Mobile or you can buy one at walmart for $52 less. Its the same one except Walmart one will come in a different package. Walmart family plan uses T-Mobile so it works fine.
Metro PCs is gonna have it soon. Cheaper than T-Mobile FYI
He failed to mention the Dolby digital surround sound it has I have no issues with sound on phone calls unlike the galaxy series on the galaxy series the sound is full on this zte its sound is crisp and for a cheap phablet I love it

On the top edges just gently slide your finger downwards and it will move it to the side...

I just got this phone and its great and everything but it has a few cons. For example, people can't hear me properly in a call. Apparently I sound muffled or something. On snapchat, I can't record sounds but it sucks! Also, my apps stop working now and then and I have to restart my phone all the time. Other than that, its great. Good battery life, too.
Oh yeah I cannot believe what a long battery life this phone has I am constantly on RUclips and Netflix. the battery lasts all day and then some.

That's a feature of 4.4 KitKat. Has specific sd card options. It's not this phone it's the android version.
Zach Cooley so all 4,4 KitKat is like this I did read an article the Android with lollipop will no longer accept the ability to move programs to an SD card! I should have gotten my old LG repurchased after the screen cracked or if there is ability to downgrade this phone to a lower version of Android

I have the G3 and I can say this seems to be a nice mid-level android phone. It's nice that it's running android kitkat and that it's almost stock android. I know the battery would be good with a snapdragon that's not very strong and with a 720p screen at 258ppi.....I mean you not working the battery hard.
I own this phone the problem is sure having 10.87gb internal phone memory is nice. Not being able to move or transfer apps from internal memory to 32gb micro sd card is frustrating. I feel what is the point of having 32GB ad card. I have tried several apps none work. I read Android 4.4 they removed took away the ability feature to move apps. I think that is a silly move on Google part. I think most people would prefer to move apps and save some phone space. 10.87gb is not much by the time you do updates, install the apps we want, download music, record videos.

I am really considering buying the ZTE ZMAX. There are some drawbacks. It runs Android 4.4 Kitkat which is a generation below the Lollipop 5.0, but a whole lot better than what I have now. The Quad Core processor is only 1.2 ghz, so the experience of playing online games is not so good. Camera not nearly as good as the Samsung top of the lines or iPhone 5S and up. Pros battery life, large display, sufficient pixels. Will test drive it today.
I have a phone with a 1.2ghz and it works fine.

nrsagittarius had the same processor in the desire 816 perform just as good as the old HTC one I had I now got the lg optimus g pro and there's not really much of a difference
Also, in terms of android a generation below isn't that bad, if you still have 2.2, you are fucked.

I have the Moro g and the zmax. The Moro g doesn't have much space and u can't put a SIM card. So u will be stuck with 5 gigs. It's a good phone though. If u need space the zmax has ample space and the screen rocks.
Everybody hating on this awesome ass phone just because its cheap!! I play music text and game all day without ANY problems with lag or stutters. The battery last forever even with the big screen on full brightness. Came from a galaxy 5 and I would do it again any day
