- हिमालयी सभ्यताओं और संस्कृतिओं से आपका परिचय करवाने वाली बारामासा की यात्रा जारी है. विविधताओं से भरे हिमालयी क्षेत्रों में इस यात्रा का नया पड़ाव है कोंगथोंग (Konthong - The Singing / Whistling Village), एक ऐसा गाँव जहां लोगों के नाम पुकारे नही, गुनगुनाए जाते है और जहां की बहुसंख्यक Khasi Tribe में matriarchal society की व्यवस्था के तहत शादी होने पर लड़कों की विदाई होती है.

You guys didn't really understand what he was trying to say.
1. Post marriage, the couple moves out of the parents house and stay by themselves.
2. Only the youngest daughter stays home and the husband moves in. Since the youngest daughter stays home, she takes care of the family Property.
3. Property doesn't belong to one individual but the family (clans). She is just a care taker. She can't dispose it unless the whole family (clans) agrees.

भारत के सब से पश्चिम में गरीब सुदामा का तांबूल ऐसा कुछ शब्द और सब से पूर्व में भी ऐसा ही गरीब के आतिथ्य के साथ जुड़ा शब्द तामुल !! तो उसमे ज्ञाती कहां से घुसी !?
वो तो न ही संगीत सीखे न ही सरस्वती की पूजा करती है फिर भी संगीत compose कैसे करती है? और बिल्कुल अलग अलग सुर में । इस से स्पष्ट है कि संगीत की कोई देवी नहीं होती है । यह एक कल्पना है । very nice video❤❤❤

I coincidentally landed on this video and had so much to relate to. I too am from Uttrakhand and visited Shillong, cherapunji and Umium recently, in love with the land and the people. Thankyou so much for this video. You have done a great job. Subscribed.
Unique video.
1. Apart from largest cave You will get largest and smallest river islands in Assam over Brahmaputra river.
2. Supari is prepared from the Tamul, but in northeastern India (including Assam) people usually use raw tamul (betel nuts) with paan. Even in Assam, it is a tradition to offer tamul - paan to the guests when they come and after they finish their meal. But there are many people (like me) who don’t like tamul-paan.
3. Apart from sofo (or sofi) you will get mirika tenga and naga tenga also in Khasi hills and probably you will not get these fruits in other places.
In Assam I never offered tamul freely ,but in Meghalaya some shop keeper offer it freely to even stranger for good behaviour.
still we offer tamul or supari to our guests visiting our house freely. I am not mentioning about commercial use at all
