thank you for the video, I have a question for you my laptop Lenovo IdeaPad 330 is not compatible with windows 11 the first time automatically install windows 11 and I was able to return to windows 10 and during this week it was installed again windows 11, I have to put the autoinstall windows update in pause, how can I fix that, if in the future I have updates for windows 10 hoe can I stop the Windows 11 and choose the ones for windows 10 thank you
Out of curiosity, what problems were you referring to regarding removing Defender/Security? I've removed (using NTLite) Defender, Security Center and Windows update - and much more - on all my current W10 and W11 installs and everything seems fine. Manual updates that require host refreshes can be a bit tedious, but aside from that ... Messing with the store and app-related components has gotten me into trouble before ... but Security has always just been like "aaand it's gone, done" . Is there something I've been overlooking all this time?
Hi there, I used this but one application would always fail to delete and it’s a dodgey program that my son installed. I’m starting to freak out now. What do I do!
I tried uninstalling some Microsoft Edge stuff and Xbox stuff from windows but it says "Failed - Uninstaller returned error code: 1627" after uninstalling, how can I bypass this? or should I let this be in my computer?
Except the part that it shows win embedded features I wont swap it instead of Revo which performs 2nd and 3rd layer scan and removes a tons of crap in comparison with the default win unistaller. Of course at 6:29 it seems that this program does it too, but I dont know about the comparison of deletion between Revo and this one PS There is both a freeeware and paid version for Revo if you want to comment about that as well
I'm not a fan of Revo at all. Piriform is known as a company that lies to its users about the registry to the point that they convince people to break the registry.
@@NicoKnowsTech This is one point of view. Since I am using it for more than 10 years, I am entitled to say it hasn t done anything to my registry and i never format my system more than one time per 2 years and that is because i am changing drive and dont want to migrate.
Hey can you tell me if you know about some file or whatever it is called 'G' or 'g.exe' i find it on my task manager after i turn on my pc. Few minutes after pc is on that g.exe is on my task manager and it mess up my cpu usage and memory.. Also when i play a game fps drop like crazy. Please if you can reply how to solve it!
@@NicoKnowsTech I can't open or find the file location.. When i try from task manager to go open file location, nothing happens.. Also there is no file name called g when i try to upload there.. I'm sorry to bother you but i really don't know what to do or how to find it..
I know there are a million videos on how to setup properly for gaming, however there are not very many that I trust. I am mostly interested in the "perfect" MS2020 setup. Any chance sometime when you get bored, taking a run at this task? :) Thanks for all your videos.
Yes. I have another video on that. This one is targeted towards users who aren't comfortable with Powershell as well as users who don't want to trust someone's script.
Where's the "Edge" uninstall "next day" video? Looking like Nico here figured out you can't uninstall it with this BCU thingy? wink If you read the text in the box as he clicked Edge and hit "uninstall", you'll notice it say's "To modify these entries, you need to disable uninstall protection from the settings side bar".. But only problem there is? YOU CAN'T!!! But otherwise, good video & this BCU works really well for 99% of things> NOT MICROSOFT
Tutorial is a simple powershell script. My wife is in the hospital having our baby. When I get back to the studio, I will happily dispatch this silly argument.
@@NicoKnowsTech O-K pal.. Just figured you were just another one of them "paid to advertise influence-R " type's who would misrepresent & mislead people watching your video here, as YOU say >> BCU could "uninstall Microsoft EDGE".. But you didn't/wouldn't say that right? Just wanted to make sure that is not what you were claiming here & glad you said it here in my comment. By the way? Congrats on the new baby.

Thanks! Will do!
hi nico, Do you know how to remove the wrui ramsomware and bring back the file with .wrui extension?

Is there something I've been overlooking all this time?
It causes stability issues in the current build due to the November 2020 patch that prevents Defender from being disabled. Removing it creates issues.
I haven't been on sketcy wepsites so is windows defender enough?
Love your videos bro and could you please make videos on reducing laptop fan sound.. thanks in advance
If it's a gaming laptop... They tend to run hot and must have strong (and noisy) fans to keep cool.
great video nico!
Glad you enjoyed it

bcu is not detecting my other drives, it has in the past but is not working for me on windows 11.
Solid video - as always! Does this leverage Pshell in the background?
No. I have some upcoming tutorials that use Powershell. Only commands and scripts use the shell
Thanks Nico! I really needed this video!

Firstly make sure you have a web browser of your choice installed before uninstalling Edge, or your F$$ked.
Can't you remove 90% of it with PowerShell quickly with a script?
Yes. I have another video on that. This one is targeted towards users who aren't comfortable with Powershell as well as users who don't want to trust someone's script.
@@NicoKnowsTech yeah should have watched the video before I even commented ☺️
