This means that all of the lore on the warlords will remain almost identical to older versions of the stories, but with more detail and additional information now that the characters are RELEVANT. Thus far, this is NOT a retcon, but a RETELLING.
Interesting how King Varian Wrynn's past has some similarities to Kargath's past. Not many can understand fighting in a pit unless they have been there themselves. Who better to oppose the Warlords of Draenor than our present king?

Cap, why you so ungrateful
Ho woud wanna play has a fat stupid ogre??
Man, I love Varian's teeth. I like that they gave him a physical attribute that isn't considered perfect. He's almost...cute now.
Nice to see the game actually start being about war and hardship and not cute fuzzy pandas.
+Luke Ogle I liked pandaria..
"Start being". I guess you started playing in Pandaria.
after fighting in northrend and the World almost ending pandaria was really welcome imo
Not only was the end of Mists all about war, but in hindsight, I'm pretty sure everyone would have preferred staying there over what we got.
MoP was far more that cute fuzzy pandas. Ofcourse, it takes brain to see beyond that point of view. And you clearly lack it.
This is such a nice change from usual WC art. Almost feel like reading Conan.
So.. once Kargath had freed himself and appropriated a weapon, he could've easily cut the shackles of the other orcs.
But instead we have an entire horde of one-handed invalids.
Test of strength child... test of strength
The profile picture made this comment fucking hilarious...
I just imagine the level 1 orphans in Stormwind approaching the shattered hand with this kind of logic.
This made me laugh.

His way was the brutal way.

It's that simple.
Kiido11 If you can't cut off your hand you don't want it hard enough. Go home, come back when you're hungry.
The hype was so real when this was new
And thats where our content went...
As a horde player, I love Varian. A skilled warrior and not a brat like he was in wotlk
can anyone tell me why they put so much work into making this expansions enemies look like the biggest badasses? the horde i am in looks like a joke compared to those guys :P. i am actually at a point where i want to join grommash and garrosh because they are closer to what i think the horde should be... conquerors!
well voljin is a badass, but he is still a clown tho, trolls cant be warchiefs.. it needs to be an orc!
BLAAARGGHH the horde is not just orcs you know :)
Luke with an N
yeaa but the horde started with orcs, others joined. the warchief chould allways be an orc in my oppinion, i mean orgrimmar are the orcs capital, trolls just get to live there coz they have no real city.
BLAAARGGHH no trolls get to live there not only because they dont have their own capital city but because of what they did to help the horde become what it is. times change and the horde is not only orcs anymore. they need to stop this petty racism and fight as one :P
For The Alliance! But Seriously Can We Have One Expansion... The Developers Are All For The Horde.
This definitely has me pumped for Warlords of Draenor
I don't understand 1 thing... 2:03 He literally kneels at a leg's length of the rock, why didnt he used his feet to grab it.
lol i agree
+Galejro And why smashing the hand?
I like these little story videos a lot. I really liked Jim Cummings narration in the Burdens of Shahao series.
Calling it right now: Varian's gonna die this expansion.
so...
The Cole Train weeeeeellll
Uhm
Ya lol
Wrong xpac
THIS IS LOVLEY i wish they made TV episodes like this..
1:00 rip little action figures
lol

Varian: Velen.... you have to pay $600 for all that !
@me
Maraad*
The most brutal Blizzard video by far. Love it!
FOR THE HORDE.
senpai notice me :3
tell me,my little orc.
you know black hand was the very first to say that sentence in the history of the horde
Is it weird that the part that made me shiver wasn't when he cut off his own hand, but when he lost the nail on the rock?
If you look closely, he lost the nail on his first finger, too, obviously to show he'd been trying to get the rock for some time.
mylifefortheoldfish Goddammit! Did you have to tell me that?
