Rumble Roller | Of course, a lot of Skyrim players are used to the Kathay-Raht, or EVERY Khajiit in the game. I swear, if they make Elsweyr the next Elder Scrolls game, they better put work into their language (Ta'agra), food, and culture.
A different theory is that the player is Lorkhan. Always changing forms and always alive. Changes races throughout games, has the power to alter the tower, “create” the world (booting it up on a game). Always traveling around?
Young Bud Exept the the imperial agent died, the nerevarine left for Akavir, Champion of Cyrodill became Sheogorath. Also none of the play characters are Shezzarines as far as we know

It makes sense that the gods and creation myths would mimic each other from race to race, it's something that happens in real life too. Just about every major mythology has a big flood that ends the world in finality for the current residents before new people come to repopulate and a council consisting of 9 gods (usually with a triumvirate overseeing the remaining 6) with other minor gods/spirits that are innumerable. Norse mythology has the Ragnarok floods, Christianity has Noah and his ark, there's a flood in Hindu, Buddhism, some notable Indian tribes, as well as some African creation/destruction myths. It's a neat parallel that runs through worldwide cultures that at that point in time had no way to know each other existed, let alone communicate and share ideas like that.
mutegrab666 The Nords did worship the gods, and the dragon's. They worshiped the Dragons and Alduin as AKATOSH. On the ancient Nordic tombs, we see the fox (Lorkhan/Shor), Whale(Tsun), Hawk (Kyne), Snake(Orkey, who is either Arkay or Malacath, I'm not sure) and others
Yeah, the ancient nord pantheon had more to it then dragons. Dragons were just seen as particularly sacred as they were tied to akatosh. Also they were more powerful then the other representations. A dragon is definitely stronger then a fox or some such. So dragons got a bigger share of the worship because nords love powerful things.

Then realize that the courier is the same person every time. Even if the courier dies he comes back to life just to give you a letter. if he's not lorkhan he's definitely so divine entity P.s the "friend" that sends you letters to find shouts is probably the courier as well. if he can find you im sure he can find he can the shouts

15:57 Talos also achieved CHIM. It's how he reshaped the jungles of Cyrodil into the flat planes we see in Oblivion and ESO. Edit: Yes, I do know that Talos came after the events of ESO, BUT it is heavily referenced that Talos created a Dragon Break in his endeavor to conquer all of Tamriel, so that would mean that in another reality Cyrodil was a jungle, just not in ESO. If I'm remembering correctly there's a quest in ESO, where you help out a girl, who has the power to reform the landscape of the island she lives on. Dewey Dezimal you're wrong acording to the lore Talos caused a dragon break which means breaking time that allowed him to do crazy things in which removing the jungels of cyrodil
1. CHIM isn' canon 2. So Tiber is supposed to have removed Cyrodiil's jungles for ESO(which is also not canon), changed it back into a jungle country in Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind and changed it afterward back into a forest landscape and this all for no particular reason? Seems bloody fishy if you ask me. Bethesda and Kirkbride just needed a cheap explanation.
Amazing video!!!!! Thank you so much. I LOVE YOUR THEORY! Using it for research on M'aiq for our podcast. Your tribute to Grandma Shirley is amazing. Thank you! She's actually in our ESO guild!
It's pretty funny that this video popped up when it did. I've been playing Skyrim again just recently due to one of my favourite RUclipsrs starting another playthrough as well, and I also dabble in ESO. I also only just recently noticed myself that M'aiq The Liar appears in both games upon having run into him in both within the span of a couple of days of each other. Naturally I was wondering who this character really was, and then this video appears... haha It's like it's a message from some otherwordly being, trying to make itself known... Excellent video; keep up the great work!
Back in the days of Arena, the imperial province was littered with CONIFERS!!! It can't be helped that dumb fucks like Kirkbride wrote a book about a jungled version.
I thought Tiber Septim (Talos) did manage to achieve a state of Chim and completely reformed the entirety of Cyrodil. Though it could be argued that Talos is an aspect of Lorkhan as he was supposedly a Shezzarine.
James Sparkler Talos was two thirds shezzarine. He is made up of Hijalti Early Beard (dragonborn), High king Ysmir Wulfharth of Atmora (ancient high king of skyrim, companion of Ysgramor and shezzarine), and Zurin Arctus (battle mage and shezzarine). And he did achieve CHIM
I stumbled onto your channel only yesterday and I have watched several of your skyrim videos and it makes me really happy that ya have so much study and knowledge on the elder scrolls lore i can't wait to see what else you have on this channel keep it up
I've heard many theories about who Mai'q really is, some even claim he is an avatar of Akatosh. But personally, this theory makes the most sense to me. I like this one.
You know too much and share it freely with all, that can not be allowed... The black sacrament has been performed, your days are now numbered. But seriously, I loved this and all your videos of Skyrim lore, and this one is no exception.
Moral of the Story: Padme was pregnant but Anakin was angry at her for getting knocked up so many times. She wanted him to love what she had given birth to, and for him to be happy, but he struck out in blind range. In his anger, he killed her and began the legacy of the Galactic Empire and the revenge of the Sith.
Mr Rhexx is the only ES lore channel is still watch. Partially because I adore his background music so much, which I may or may not have stolen for my own ES videos haha!
watching this video, if you take all the evidence you provide and replace M'aiq with you the player, it also makes sense. maybe you the player are Lorkan walking Nirn ever changing and doing God level feats. IDK, it also made sense. Great video, love the work you put into it man.
Ive always thought M'aiq is possibly an unnamed 10th God. No serious, he is simply a joke character by Bethesda. There isnt any background for him...lol.
There are many more than just nine, that is merely those worshipped by the Imperial Cult. Magnus, Phynaster, Y'ffre, are just three of the others not worshipped by the cult. Then there's the Sixteen, and as of Oblivion seventeen Daedra princes, (Sheogorath is no longer part of Jyggalag).
Mr Rhexx, I love all the Lore, and think you’re so awesome. Thank you for all your work!! Your theory is very interesting about Ma’iq the Liar. I love listening to all your theories. Thank you for everything you do to keep us on the edge of our seats!
Those that make the decisions and set the budgets when making these games would do well to offer you work on the next one. This is just so very well done.
Shezzarine are basically avatars of a god or someone who has become an aspect of said god through mantling. So it's not impossible. After all, that's essentially what we did in the Shivering Isles.
Nice theory but you contradict many points. Plus Lorkhan is not just a god..he is much more then that. Where Auri-El is the main entity for the elves. So is Lorkhan for the race of Man. Not the cats. It is true that Lorkhan can not truly die but his body was defeated and destroyed. Lorkhan is literally the main entity responsible for the creation of Nirn. It's very core. The cat race has it's own origins and beliefs that is very generally the same as the gods of Man only that Azura is most likely the one responsible for their creation. Same as she was able to turn the chimer into The Dunmer. But that said she can only turn...not create under the right conditions. She turned the chimer into the Dunmer,Caused the dissapearance of the Dwemer mostly because both angered her and encited her wrath. More realistically is that the Khajit evolved either from a cat like race into sentience or were once a different race alltogether who angered her in their ignorance. As far as M`aiq goes however. He's a easter cat that should not be made more off then he really is only to score a few clicks.
That would be to obvious and not at all as interesting. But the dragonborn could still be an avatar of lorkhan, while lorkhan exists elsewhere, as maiq or otherwise.
NorthRemembers that is fair but I wasn't just joking around with the consistency part. There's more evidence against this theory than their is for it, not to mention some people forget that eso isn't cannon.
Gellart Wigglewallop it doesn't really fit with the cannon of the games though, none of the games ever mentioned molag bal invading tamriel or all the player characters
Vivec is not the only one who achieved Chim. Mankar Camoran, the antagonist of the Oblivion game has also done that. Very interestingly, his case is very simular to Vivec's, because he achieved it through contact with a part of Lorkhan (The Amulet of Kings, which is a cristallized drop of blood from the Heart) and significant help from the daedric prince (in Mankar's case - Dagon)
I personally love this content and think it's amazing and it's probably on par with some of the og rhexx. I hope you continue to do more conspiracy theories.
I think the Dragonborn is Lorkhan (or Shor more specifically) since your ultimate enemy Alduin is the end aspect of akatosh. The beginning is Auriel, the warrior aspect of anu. Also, you’re able to sit in Shor’s throne in sovngarde, and elder scrolls seems to make it clear that you can only sit in a god’s throne if you are that god or are becoming that god.
Also worth pointing out is that at least one of Nirn's two moons, Masser and Secunda, are the body of Lorkhan from when he was split by Trinimac/Auri-El and his heart removed. More evidence of the Khajiit connection to Lorkhaj.
In the Nordic pantheon Lorkan is Shor, he usually hangs out in sovinguard, but wasn't present when TLD was there. So he definitely could be M'aiq, but i have been lead to believe that Talos achieved Chim, and that's how he transformed Cerodil into verdant grass land, from a thick jungle. Idk I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I have been recently watching alot of tes lore videos, that and i stayed at a holiday Inn last night.
The way Bethesda made the Daedra, Aedra and other gods is insanely good and detailed. I spend years trying to get every story in the right order and get to know them as best as possible. There are hundred of books in the Games wich give hints for the full story. Apart from Tamriels landscape, races and such, i love the books the most
Never heard this M'aiq/Lorkhaj theory...that's interesting! (LOVED the pic w Shirley's head photoshop'd onto a char w steel armor too, made me laugh my ass off - decked out w THAT grin)👍~
Yes, I could totally believe maiq having achieved chim, which might theoretically extend his lifespan indefinitely. However, the kahjiit also say he has to change. Him staying as maiq would not work. Additionally, we know for a fact that lorkhan is the Dragonborn, or rather the other way around.
M'aiq must go now, Khajiit is needed... Elswyer.

mutegrab666 That's the thing though. When Tiber Septum achieved CHIM, he erased the jungles from even existing in the first place.
Watched again today, and truly appreciate your nod for Grandma Shirley!! Merry Christmas!!
Did you ever hear the tragedy of M'aiq The Liar?
Sounds like this more applies to the player charcter. Always changing, always moving to a new place.
David Welch that explen why when you die you go back in time bc you use chim
Sorry for my bad english
Ân Vũ Hah! Thats brilliant, too.
And no worries. You're fine!🖒
David Welch do you like too watch youtube
Both maybe they are both same side of the coin
I thought Tiber Septim (Talos) did manage to achieve a state of Chim and completely reformed the entirety of Cyrodil. Though it could be argued that Talos is an aspect of Lorkhan as he was supposedly a Shezzarine.
James Sparkler
Talos was two thirds shezzarine.
The_Drop Bear Damn he's got good blood in him lmao
Smol Birb
Yeah that's what being 3 badasses does for you
I stumbled onto your channel only yesterday and I have watched several of your skyrim videos and it makes me really happy that ya have so much study and knowledge on the elder scrolls lore i can't wait to see what else you have on this channel keep it up
I hope you do more D&D Videos, they are great.
Bravo!
Your best work, yet, Mrrhexx!
Enthralling, and mesmerizing! Superb!
There's... actually another character that fits your theory: The Player.
The player is actually a separate phenomenon called the prisoner. Look it up, there's lore reasons why almost every player starts like that.
Dude, this was an awesome vid. It's one one of the most poetic ways of interpreting reality imo.
Mike the liar lol.
M'aiq is tired now. Go bother somebody else.
M'aiq is Gaunter O'Dimm when O'Dimm gets bored of bothering the Witcher World, c0da makes this cannon
HAHAHAHA! When you were going on about Padme dying from births at 3:15, It was truly spot on. Thank you star wars.
Glad there's still Skyrim channels that aren't putting out bottom of the barrel content unlike *some* people (fudgemuppet)
bálintka 13 ok?
bálintka 13 facts also exist and if someone is releasing bottom line content then they are not say fudgemuppet is since I don't watch them
立神Tachigami Graenolf is putting out barrel content.
Their lore videos are really basic and nothing your average TES fan wouldn't already know. But I like their character builds and perk discussion vids.
M'aiq is just a vampire, with a really good bluff skill, and a very high intelligence and wisdom, hence the "meta-information"
Then there's the Sixteen, and as of Oblivion seventeen Daedra princes, (Sheogorath is no longer part of Jyggalag).
if we're actually going to discuss theories , i'd say that m'aiq is a magna-ge
mutegrab666 Phynaster is Julianos, Y'ffre is Kynarath, and Magnus is, well, there is no point for Men to worship him.
yulia s , we could worship the magna-ge
Mr Rhexx, I love all the Lore, and think you’re so awesome. Thank you for all your work!! Your theory is very interesting about Ma’iq the Liar. I love listening to all your theories. Thank you for everything you do to keep us on the edge of our seats!
*Mike the liar*
I know mike, total fuck boy.
He got murdered by raiders awhile ago.
not just Vivec learned of Chim, but so to did Tiberius Septim, who, through Chim, became Talos
Terence Bowlen
Talos learning CHIM and becoming a god are different things.
Tiber Septim achieved Chim too
Aleks ture but it was the God's who give him the gift of goodhood
But he mantled Lorkhan, as far as I remember
Sam Ash no one gifted him god hood, it was a combination of him using the numidium, An Entimorph and him mantling Lorkhan
channel like these will keep TES lore alive and well and will be the reason why TES6 will break all sales records
Didn’t Talos also achieve Chim?
He did. "I breathe now in *Royalty* and reshape this land which is mine. I do this for you Red Legions, for I *love* you." - The Many Headed Talos
Those that make the decisions and set the budgets when making these games would do well to offer you work on the next one. This is just so very well done.
Didn't Talos/ Tiber Septem also achieve chim?
Talos is also said to have achieved CHIM, then he effectively retconned Cyrodiil's forests.
Hey, that's not a bad Khajiit accent!
This vid was so chill to watch right before bed
CHIM =console commands and creation kit
and we are have achieved CHIM
~
2 mortals were noted as achieving the state of Chim, Vivec and Hjalti Early-Beard aka Talos.
one of those pictures of space is my computer wallpaper XD
talos also achieved chim as well. thats way cyradil isnt covered in extremly dense jungles
cult of m'aiq
This theory is craaaaazy! Love the way you presented it in the beginning too!!!
didn't Tiber Septim achieve chim?
yomanyo327
Yea
Good theory man, i never had anything to back this up, but i always thought M'aiq could actually be riddle'thar.
Grandma Shirly
Amazing video as ever, I'd like to see lore videos on ARENA, Daggerfall as well. All of TES in fact.
Isn't lorkhan shor and isn't the elder scrolls heroes a shezarine so lorkhan is the player in most games of the elderscrolls
Lorkhan and Shor are both the same thing, the Last Dragonborn is a Shezzarine, an incarnation of Shor/Lorkhan.
so if maiq is shor then how is the dragonborn lorkan?contradictory isn't it
A Shezzarine is a part of Shor, not Shor himself, it's... complicated but if you look it up, I'm sure you'll understand :)
That's just Fannon
Shezzarine are basically avatars of a god or someone who has become an aspect of said god through mantling. So it's not impossible. After all, that's essentially what we did in the Shivering Isles.
It was also believed that Tiber septim also achieved chim, and used that ability to change cyrodil from am unlivable swamp to what it is in the games
Not swamp. Jungle.
I thought Talos learned CHIM too?
YOURE BACK!!! Love these videos, dude!!!
I don't get it.
Ulfric Stormcloak king killer!!!
Get off me dude. I was drunk.
Ulfric Stormcloak that does not forgive you of your actions Coward!!
Frezzo Fire. Talos Hater!
How are you alive? I shouted you from the mortal plane like you did late-king Torygg.
I was under the impression talos achieved chim and that's how he ascended to be a god
Man, its a theory. If you dont want to give a "click", the title is pretty self explanatory.
Don't. Click. A. Theory. Video.
Or, alternatively, theories can be discussed?
Auriel is Akatosh
You really need to get your panties out of a twist.
Well done Rhexx!!! Great presentation! ;D
The dragon born being lorkhan theory is more consistent than this, plus it's cooler than shit
Tristan Winter I agree with the Dovahkiin being Lorkhan, but ESO IS canon.
Gellart Wigglewallop it doesn't really fit with the cannon of the games though, none of the games ever mentioned molag bal invading tamriel or all the player characters
ESO is never stated to take place in a Dragon Break.
But thats just a theory... a game theory!
Boontha Youboty go home dude
I personally love this content and think it's amazing and it's probably on par with some of the og rhexx. I hope you continue to do more conspiracy theories.
Burger king foot latasse
That was pretty interesting. I have always thought M'aiq was some sort of spirit or deity
First comment!
16:00
Tiber Septim is also said to have achieved chim.
Very good! You kahjiit accent is dope!!
*"M'aiq is tired now, go bother somebody else"*
OK so I'm late to this and you had me already with the first 2 bits of evidence. Then you got to chim and I was totally sold lol
This was actually a surprisingly good video.
"M'aiq was soul trapped once. Not very pleasant. You should think about that once in a while."
So, my name is Kim, and so whenever "Chim" is said, that centre in my brain that responds to my name lights up.
'Tis your destiny to achieve it. Or not. We'll find out.
Love your videos Rhexx. Keep up the great work!
every time I hear lorkhan I hear "where's Larkin" from Critical Role and feel like the conspiracy goes even deeper
