    This boat is definitely not built like a luxury yacht. It is most definitely of a utilitarian nature. Every piece of this boat is built for function over grace and beauty. A boat made to be worked and worked hard. There was good money spent on this boat in places where it was beneficial to do so to make it durable and long lasting. And it’s maintainable. It’s built so you can get to stuff to maintain, repair and upgrade or modify as needed.
    Even though it was not designed or built to be a pretty boat, at the end of the day, to my eyes she has a good overall look and form. She looks like a proper working vessel with some style and grace to it. A boat the owners and crew can be proud of.

      In Korea, there are many businesses that drive boats for anglers. It costs $50 to go out to sea and fish for 12 hours. And the reason they covered their faces was because they wanted to.

  • @JUSTENization
    @JUSTENization 7 месяцев назад +5

    I would agree with some of you the hull seems a bit flimsy but maybe that’s all it needs for light weight light duty fishing runs. Korean fishermen are no rookies so they know just what they need. Perhaps not for deep sea fishing but big open water or near coast should be sufficient. Love the size length. Look roomy and comfortable to be on one.

      @stivenum2184 The video did not show the full manufacturing process. For example, if you know what to look for you can see that woven roving was sandwiched between the layers of mat fiberglass but we didn't see it being laid down. The same goes for the gelcoat. We were actually only shown some finishing layers of mat fiberglass. We were also not shown how the bulkheads and other items were made. This vessel was built to industry standards.

    • @Jonathan.D
      @Jonathan.D 8 месяцев назад

      @donchristie420 Yes and no. If you're in the business, there's a basic method that should be followed. Over time, you learn ways to tweak the lay-up to shave weight in some places and add strength to others. Basically, they don't want to make it easier for new companies. Any good glass guy will know what to do because it's not rocket science. Plus, there are many articles that already give every detail on how to do it. Perhaps they are trying to make people think that they have an edge that others don't.
