Yes you can run multiple machines in iso mode but then you have to have a large number of machine working in one system. Let's say you have 2 large GT running in iso and 8 GT in droop.

You are right 👍..but imagine how solar PV was 10-15 years ago and how it is now. May be battery storage will not be scaled but pumped storage or some other tech will dominate the market.

You have no clue, BESS are getting cheap as fuck. Forget new pumped hydro storage, its getting substituted by BESS.
