Hi friends! Today I have swatches of the new Holo Taco Cookies and Cremes nail polish collection for spring 2024 - we have 7 new nail polishes, including 5 cremes plus a shimmer and a black flake topper! I know a lot of people don't love the black flake, but honestly I love it :) What do you think of this collection? Are you planning on ordering it?

A milky white from Holo Taco is hilarious because that used to be (seemingly) Cristine's least favorite type of polish, next to 3-coat blacks!

@@cynthiajfaulkner8655 I've seen robin eggs with black specks. They can come with no specks too. Plain, black specks, and brown specks I think are all the ways they can look.
The black flakies is giving Oreo vibes and I think it compliments the pastel colors really well.

I saw this comment the other day when this video came out and I can't stop thinking about this combo! Absolutely obsessed with this idea! And I don't typically wear green polish (usually stay with the forest green colors). Thanks for the tip! I'm on the hunt for a mint green polish!
I really love when you admit to not loving a polish. It means you're discerning and honest in your reviews.
Honesty is the most important factor for me in reviews! But that said, I do love most polishes just because I love polish and I tend to avoid buying or accepting pr from brands I don't think are good haha 😅

I'm relieved you realized you have these dupes in your collection so you don't waste money on buying basically the same polish. I definitely have that problem myself. 😅
I actually had to stop following and checking out Holo Taco, because they just keep putting out so. Much. Stuff. I have a lot of Holo Taco, that I do love, but I've been working on clearing out and using up my mail polish collection - I do not need 10 similar shades. I also feel like a lot of their colours already exist out there. I am really happy for Cristine and Ben, they are so smart and seem lovely, and they work really hard, but I can't keep consuming everything on the planet because I liked some videos 7-8 yrs ago
I have near dupes for most but bought them anyway cause the formula is amazing. Time to destash my dupes 😂

i feel like a black flake topper is better than black flakies inside another polish because you have control over the application! like, i would rather do an intentional jelly sandwich than have a jelly polish with stuff in it that I maybe wouldnt have paired myself

The periwinkle is such an obviously stunning shade, but the one that really surprised me was how much I actually love Ginger Snatched!!😱 I’m not even sure why since neutrals aren’t something I normally reach for, but it just looks so gorgeous & unique; I can’t wait to try it
I was surprised by how much I like Ginger Snatched too! It’s a beautiful and kind of unique mid-tone. I just might have to buy it lol

I am a huge blurple girl and have been WAITING for this perfect periwinkle. My next dream is they come out with a periwinkle crushed holo!
But I ordered most of these and can’t wait to do the cookies n’ cream look with the white shimmer and black flakie!

Oh my gosh I am so glad to see other people prefer a "nondescript" car! My family cannot understand why I refuse to do any stickers or special upgrades to my car. I want to blend in! Just another little commuter car rolling down the highway, nothing to see here!
Fr I’m not trying to become a target 😩 whether it’s theft or smashing over a sticker I liked I just worry too much. 😊

I can't see myself wearing the Milky White Shimmer without a topper, like another shimmer, over it. Imagine Polar Princess or even Celestial Lights over the MWS 😍
I love using HT cremes for nail art, so i was very happy to see this collection. Ginger Snatched & Brownie Points have me shook! Browns with a color shimmer over them have been my Spring go-to's.

Brownie points literally looked like chocolate syrup in that first couple of swipes!! I LOVE the browns, brown and orange are my favorite colors so I'm always super happy to see any shade of brown. This collection looks really cohesive and cute, I'll only be picking up the browns and the shimmer and topper though. Excited for them to come in, thank you for dropping a review on release day it helped me confirm my choices of which shades I want to pick up!

Still glad you swatched the pink and yellow. I have a very similar skin tone/undertone and find your swatches to be the most helpful for me, especially with pastels or colors that look drastically different on different undertones!
I remember when I was little I once saw someone having a white car with big black assymetrical dots stickers on it, forming a cute cow pattern. I thought it was so cool, so I'd probably choose that. With a little flower sticker on the side, a cute cow-car 😂

The black flakie not only looks good on pastels, I bet it looks great on brights & neons for summer, too! Dude my fav vehicles are the old 70's woody Wagoneers with the wood panels 🤩 i've loved them since i was in HS like 25 yrs ago 😅 alas, they're all stick shifts & absolutely ANCIENT by now! I wish they'd bring back wagons 🥺

Haha honestly I do think it's too opaque to be a topper over other colors BUT it does work for jelly sandwiches!!

I love this collection! Ice cream is favorite treat so i have all kinds of ideas for nail art. I think the topper is gorgeous. I love that type of flakie topper and when my no buy is over Im buying! The sheer is pretty too.

I am so surprised to hear that most people DO NOT like black flakies?!?! Like you, I LOVE BLACK FLAKIES!! I too also find these cremes far more appealing with the topper. I am not really vibing with this collection, but the black topper adds way more flare and personality to them. Without the topper, they are just typical boring pastels. @@KelliMarissaI’m on the fence with these. I like the browns, and the pink one. But the yellow & the black flakes I’m not sure about. However, I am a sucker for the collection theme, and that makes me like the black flakes cause you have to have those for cookies & cream. So I’m probably going to get these.

I feel like most speckled toppers have a hard time evenly distributing and you have to end up picking out certain speckles and placing them a certain way. But this speckled topper distributes so evenly, it’s absolutely beautiful. Nice job Cristine ❤️❤️

I'm excited to get mine. I too love me some black speckles - my all-time favourite topper is a white/black mixed flakie, so I'm quite happy to have some plain black ones to play with too.
Also I've never heard of making a "jelly sandwich" but that's such a cute term.
I'm LOVING the black flakes and can't wait to get that one. I feel the same as you about the colors. I'm not a big fan of pastel cremes, but the black flake totally transforms them into something I would love to wear.
