My big fear is hurting someone or making a mistake. 😢one bad day might mean a lifetime of sorrow…. And I can’t get over that fear
To me that means you care about doing a good job (:
as someone who knows for a fact that i want to apply to grad school next year, i think this was a perfect summary video! it’s really confirmed for me this is what i want to do. well done!
Thank you so much for your helpful, informative content. Your channel is a gem of RUclips for going into detail about this career. I’m in the process of submitting my application now and am extremely excited to get into this field!
Good luck on your journey!
Thank you!@@CAALifestyle
I have been a Respiratory Therapist for 10+ yrs and am getting interested in completing these pre-reqs and going back to Grad school and through what sounds like a very very rigorous challenging programs!
This channel is so helpful and inspiring!! Thank you for living our CAA dreams and informing us about the career. Can't wait to be this one day!
Thank you so much for your kind words, good luck on your journey :)
@@CAALifestyle question what’s the difference between anaesthesia technician and anesthesia assistant?
@@aliquran7535Great question
@@aliquran7535the tech helps the crna, CAA, or anesthesiologist maintain the equipment for use but can’t give the anesthesia
Wow I chose the wrong career. I only have 3 weeks off and make way less. You won in life
I am SO PROUD OF YOU!!! ❤
Great content. Can you do one of your paycheck breakdowns?
I cover how I spent two paychecks in this video:

I wanted to be a CRNA, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist but I didn’t finish nursing school due to multiple issues going on in my life at the time. I was 6 months away from getting my BSN when I dropped out. It was painful knowing I was this close but couldn’t finish.
🫂 this is me to but I was going to get my AS RN
A 60 hour work week seems too much for any person who MUST stay vigilant and concentrated to perform a delicate job. Same applies to doctors.
These videos are so so helpful!
I love your videos! they're so helpful!
Great vid!
Can AA work in cometic surgery clincs in florida?
I am forwarding your videos to my young sister she is in HS. I hope she watches them! lol Any advice for her as a HS student, if she were to find interest in this career?
I have a Pre-AA playlist I recommend :)

Is it possible to start from the beggining of the carreer working only 2-3 days a week?
I’m wondering if I can work as a CAA in Oregon or California…I’m really interested in anesthesiology and my major right now is biochem. I’m planning to attend a PA school to be a CAA. Does this sound like a good plan?

Once you become an CAA, Is there any sort of ladder you can climb in terms of rank and/or income or is this profession capped at a certain level?
The scope is limited. You can teach, be an equipment and anesthesia sales manager, go back to medical school..
I talk about other jobs CAAs do in this video:

There is a general ceiling to the income at this time, but I talk about why I'm still satisfied compared to the physician route in this video:

@@Kencan254 I compare the CAA route versus medical school route in this video and why I'm satisfied with my choice:

Nice
have you had, to work on someone you knew or family member? ifso, how was the experience?
Hi! Can you share which program you graduated from? Average course workload with balancing a family/work life in addition to the program?
Ive been working in sterile processing for years now and i keep getting more interested in anesthesiology very intensly. As a 29 year old do you think its worth starting school and going through the 6 years of school?
Looking back, do you wish you went to medical school?

But I can elaborate on this more in a different video!
Why wouldn’t they just offer this to pharmacists instead. Doesn’t make sense
This job is very procedure heavy and the training focuses on both pharmacology and physiology and the many procedures CAAs do. Pharmacists have very different training but can apply and grow through AA school in order to do the same work.
For this CAA Program All over the world Students Eligible ro Specific Country please
Im a senior in high school on the ropes about pursuing a career in medicine and if so, I have my mind on anesthesia, dont know anyone personally in that field and I have questions about Anesthesia tech but don’t trust google, any help?
I’m in your exact position! I’m a senior in high school interested in anesthesia. We’re you able to find more information? If so, where?
if i graduate my master in anesthesia technology , can i become anesthesiologist assistant?? please rply mam
Do you think CAA’s will be eligible to work in more states in the future? Because I’m from Tennessee and they aren’t eligible here .
Hey, Alexis! Great question. As a native NYer I whole heartedly want to see this profession expand into every state. That is part of the reason why I started this channel. In addition, I donate to the legislative fund in order to support the lobbyists who work towards advancing AA into more states. Advancing this profession requires financial support. Last year AAs raised 50k to support legislative efforts. There is ongoing lobbying that will take place in 2024. This is the link to donate: paylink.paytrace.com/Payment
Lastly, I know of more than one CAA from Tennessee and they work in Georgia!
I hope I answered your question :)
Hey guyz I'm form india can anybody tell me how i can become an anesthesia tech in uk my experience is 3years
You have a computer in your hand…Google.
What is the average acceptance rate in current CAA programs?
I would reach out to the programs and find out :)
can i study this after completing advanced diploma in respiratory therapy?
Check out my Pre-AA playlist for more info!
I met a lot of nurses who said they wish they went CAA
I’ve met many providers (doctors, PAs, nurses, etc.) who have shared that sentiment. That is part of why I try to showcase this profession. I believe more people would pursue this route if they knew about it.
@CAALifestyle yes! I was in medical school for 3 years and I never heard of it!
As a nurse you can still go into this though right? That’s why I am planned (3 yr nurse, no ICU and not interested in CRNA right now)
@@Amber-zh1hh yes nurses can apply if they have the pre-reqs, but they were not interested in going back to school to complete the pre-reqs.
@@CAALifestyle oh I see! Yeah that’s no problem for me mine would only be 3 classes and I love science so it doesn’t worry me :) thanks for answering I was nervous I got my info wrong about a nurse applying haha
India total different
you're beautiful 😍
Do you see lots of blood?
It depends on the type of surgery but I can.
technically with the amount of flexibility you have, like only having to work 2 days a week (or maybe even less), you can get another job with other skills you have right? would that be possible? if so that sounds actually very exciting
I talk about nonclinical positions CAAs do in this video:
ruclips.net/video/revvi9NvQBc/видео.html
You may work 2 days but you're working 40 hours in 2 days. So you'll need 2 days to recover from that at least.
@@msheehandub there are people who work two days and 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts (under a 40 hour work week). Everyone's situation is different.
Hello are there any liability issues in this field? Thanks :)
Love your channel!!! ❤ You are an inspiration!
Just saw your channel on being a anesthesiologist assistant good luck with your career thank you
hi mam , im from india
is anesthesia technologist same as anesthesiologist assistant?
No
Do they also call you, “doctor”?
I am not a doctor so there would be no reason to :)
“Shift work” that’s part of the problem with healthcare providers… That’s all I will say
What’s the alternative you suggest? I have stayed hours past my shift in high acuity cases and have followed up with patients beyond their pacu stay (including months after). I also believe in time off to reset as it helps me to continue to deliver great care for every patient.
Who tf are you?
Fair enough and perhaps you are an exception to the rule… That said - if I had the answer to fixing this horrible healthcare system I assure I WOULD NOT be here on RUclips commenting on anything! But the fact remains that I, as a patient have suffered by the “shift work” structure from pa’s, NP, the hospitalist and the like… that’s all I got
@@msheehandub excuse me?!
I understand your frustration better now and I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience.
Thanks for this video ❤
