- Karnataka High Court judge HP Sandesh Monday alleged that he was threatened with transfer for pulling up the additional director general of police (ADGP) of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Justice Sandesh made the remark while hearing the bail petition of former Bengaluru Urban tehsildar Mahesh PS, who was reportedly caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in May 2021.

As a practicing lawyer myself, I've seen enough of such scandals in govt offices. It's a shame that judges exists that dont adhere to serving justice in a fair manner. Such relief to see an exception such as Hon'ble Judge H.P.Sandesh. Much power to him. Hope to see more such honest officials under judiciary in the upcoming days.
Sir u bar association at nation level should support such judges. It is wellknown that officers from north are highly curruptive.
We need more like him but when people themselves are corrupt the institutions are just a reflection of the society

This Judge is a Beacon of Brutally Honest and Highly Independent Judiciary. We definitely need people like him to make babus to stick to their roles and elected government to perform its constitutional duties. Bribe and abuse of power are cancerous and kills the spirit of Justice. For Justice to prevail we need Gutsy, Intrepid Judges at every level of our Judiciary. Love and Respect to this Judge. None can remove you, not so easy to impeach a High Court Judge, especially the ones like you. Just go ahead and fix corrupt bureaucrats and elected representatives who fail to discharge their job, simply get them out of the system !
