    I have watched that several times, it's a brilliant video thanks to you.
    I haven't got all of the tools you have got but I suppose I could improvise and make some of them up

    • @DesmoWerx
      @DesmoWerx  Год назад

      The tools just make it easy, you can achieve most of what I do with generic bike maintenance tools

    Glad to see you posting again. Your videos helped me with my 996 high compression build a few years ago. Cheers 🎉🎉🎉

    Bike Sport Developments are a great company, always on the end of the phone if you need any technical assistance. Worth noting that the system needs to specified as normal or reverse pattern shift when ordering. I think I am right in saying that the unit needs to be sent back to BSD to be re-flashed if you need it changed. Or there are two versions and one can do both and one can’t….

    • @DesmoWerx

      BSD are great and helpful.
      You are correct the system needs to be specified at time of purchase, the detailed instructions do show a method to change the setting if needed. I am hoping I never have to explore if that works or not!! 🤣

    Is that a complete kit quick shifter and auto blipper all in one

    • @DesmoWerx
      @DesmoWerx  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, its a direct replacement for the existing quickshifter as well as providing a blipper function

    What are your thoughts on fitting this to a 899 that doesn’t have a slipper clutch? Mainly for road use.

    • @DesmoWerx
      @DesmoWerx  Год назад +1

      It should in principle work as it allows ease of throttle matching when downshifting so should prevent the rear tyre skipping.

      @@DesmoWerx thanks, I just did the waterpump (which on the 899 is the whole engine case removed as it’s 1 piece) but just didn’t have the case to do the slipper clutch as the waterpump was silly money!

    Are you planning on doing anything on a 996?
    Mine only done 11k, but think it needs an overall

    • @DesmoWerx
      @DesmoWerx  Год назад +1

      Nothing coming up soon on a specific 996 project, however the process is the same as the Thunderbike series on the 748 if you want a guide to follow on stripping the bike and engine down.

    Do BSD have a down shift blipper for a cable operated throttle?
    I have DQS on my 2011 SP, and want to have up/down, and so far the only system I've found is the one from pro-shift in the UK.

    • @DesmoWerx
      @DesmoWerx  Год назад

      Not that I am aware of, most of them need a motor driven throttle body to work.

    • @steverielly
      @steverielly Год назад

      @@DesmoWerx Yea, that's what I've found to.
      Proshift is the only one so far I know that has a system for cable throttles, as they use a little servo motor to blip the throttle for the down-shift.
