Dan more than does justice to this song. It is downright gorgeous. One of my favorites is his cover of Gethsemane, from Jesus Christ Superstar. It is a vocal treat and a Broadway worthy performance. Thanks for your great reaction and I look forward to more.

Dan started studying with Ken Tamplin, here on RUclips and kept on, going to other teachers, including a lot of classical. He does not have conservatory training, though.

It does me, too, Pamela. For me, it's because of the story I've seen played out between my brother and his wife, who spent several years getting worse, rather than better, through a very tough health attack. All of the things in the song are the things SHE told me that my brother would do, to care for her, which was made doubly tough for them both, because before SHE became so ill, HE had had several really bad problems, and SHE had been the one wiping away HIS tears, etc. Thankfully, he recovered entirely. She didn't, and passed away in mid-2023. Every time I listen to this, I empathize with the story in the song, and with my brother's and his wife's stories...tears to the max.
I, too, would love a Nessun Dorma reaction, AND a Son of Pain reaction.

Crazy cool thing about Dan is how great of a singer he's always been, even pre lessons. The lessons strengthened his already great vocals & honed his talents into skills. He learned the safety tricks to reaching the sounds & assuring himself a long lasting career in doing what he loves.
There are many songs that show off his skills, it's difficult to name just 3, but I'll do my best to refrain from going on & on.
Bring Me To Life (growls, grit, clear, i think screams too)
Gethsemane (shows off his Stage savvy)
Heaven is a Place On Earth ( fun, playful, relaxed, updated a popular rock song, super high scream note at the end).

So hard pick 3 because everything is a gem. I think you like Black Wind Fire and Steel especially the ending and don't forget the outro. Sound Of Silence and Nessum Dorma would be good for as well. Burn Butcher Burn is good a lost scream. He has some classical training. Forgot one Dawn Of Victory. Just so much talent and he leaves nothing on the table with emotions. Dan has two covers of Dawn Of Victory. The first one is from early on in his RUclips "career" where he does a great job with the song, of course. But my favorite, by far, is the second cover featuring Fabio Lione, the original lead vocalist for the Italian Symphonic Metal band Rhapsody . He's been an inspiration to Dan for many years and when he was touring in Brazil last year, Dan reached out to him and asked if he'd come to see Dan's "garage studio". Not only did Fabio come to see the studio, he agreed to record Dawn Of Victory as a duet for Dan's channel. The joy that Dan experienced singing with one of his musical heroes, is so evident throughout the song and you could see that Fabio loved every minute of it, as well. That cover also gives Dan's own band "Fearless" (with his younger brother Davi on bass) their own opportunity to shine and they absolutely killed it! Highly, highly recommend watching both to anyone, if they haven't done so already!!!

You've already done one of my top 3, Bring Me To Life. Poker Face, Music of The Night, and Pricilla's song, metal version, but I love so many more than are equally as good! For his high notes there's Wuthering Heights. I love his Amazing Grace, oh, and if you want to hear his operatic voice, Nessun Dorma is fantastic!

Since you keep mentioning the "Viking feel" you get from Dan, you should react to his cover of 'My Mother Told Me', which is from the series, Vikings.
Also, since you already reacted to Dan's cover of Evanescence's 'Bring Me To life', there is another you tuber, Viking Reacts, that did a fan project where he mashed Dan's cover and Evanescence's video for the song together. It showcases how well Dan stayed true to the original while still transforming it as much as he did. I'm sure if you reacted to it, Viking would notice and thank you for doing so; he has commented appreciation to the few others that have reacted to it.
Another fan project that Viking did is a mashup of Dan and Nightwish for their song, 'Last Ride of the Day'. I would suggest reacting to Dan's cover of that song first before you watch the fan project from Viking Reacts.
