For some reason the nigerian military industrial complex is non existent, not because it's impossible, but because a handful of individuals are benefiting from it at the peril and expense of the jobless Nigerian people who are capable of working. Niger already hosted the us military base and they are now being kicked out. The moment we host it, we become a target for islamist forces, the Russians, and the Chinese. As for the terrorist threat, it is homegrown and fostered. It can only be dealt with by the same community/politicians who created it. We can not continue to be at the mercy at the mercy of great power politics, especially if we aspire to be one ourself.
