    I can't believe how long I put up with this when the fix is so simple 😮 All the burnt pancakes, bacon, and eggs I've eaten that I didn't have to.
    10 minutes after watching this, the problem was solved. Thank you!!!

    Every reviewer said this problem (probably for 100 years as I understood from reviews, haha) and you have solved this problem. How amazing and, on the other hand, how funny that coleman doesn't solve this problem. I was watching reviews to decide which stove to buy. Now I have decided that I will buy just the Coleman classic and solve the problem. I think it must be the same. thanks a lot.

    Just got mine delivered today and interestingly the right burner had the low simmer problem more than the left burner. I did your fix and on both and now both are perfect. When taking the spindles out I didn’t see *any* grease on it so all. Nothing came off on the paper towel. Hitting it with WD40 did the trick so it seems more like there wasn’t enough lubricant on the spindle rather than too much. Either way it worked and temperature control is now great. Thanks for the video. Very useful.

    only thing to watch check that what ever lubricant you're using that it won't deteriorate the seal :)
    another thing I wish they would do is bring out a dedicated flexible hose for us that run bottles on these, I find the reg annoying as hell and takes up too much bench space so I had the reg pipe shortened right down for when I'm using a gas bottle (I have another reg for propane) now the hose goes straight to the back along the side of the stove :D I saw another guy mod his so it comes out the back

    Bought one of these today from BCF, first thing I did was hook it up and turn it on to see how low it would go. Success with a small flame on both burners. Pulled the spindles out anyway and no grease on them at all, but some sort of lubricant. Either they forgot to grease mine, or their listening to feedback. Gave them a clean anyway. Love your channel bro, good work.

    For anyone with the even temp model, in order to get the knobs off you need to peel off the silver stickers on the knobs to expose a screw, then remove screw and knob. After that in order to get to greased knobs in the above video, you’ll have to remove the silver metal base plate to expose the screws for the handle as well as base plates for the knobs - after removing these parts you’ll then be able to follow the rest of the above video

    • @user-uh5hf4qx5g
      @user-uh5hf4qx5g 9 месяцев назад

      Was it worth it though? I've got a Cascade 328 which is the same 3 burner system as the EvenTemp. The burners on it aren't "jet-style" like the ones in this video, so it already gets down pretty low, though with a relatively narrow knob range. But there's no "fighting back" like his video shows here.
      Just curious what impact you saw on an EvenTemp.

    Thanks for the video. It's entertaining and informative. This is a nice and easy fix that allows for a simmer flame to be achieved if the dial is very carefully adjusted. But there remains a major problem with these valves. The simmer flame setting is at about -3º to -5º on the dial. From no flame at all to the the very highest flame possible requires the dial to be adjusted as little as 22º. It is much too sensitive and does not allow for quick, easy adjustment. The dial can continue to be turned through a full 360º to 720º and further but it makes no difference to the flame. For the price of this stove Coleman should providing a more sophisticated valve with a much more user friendly adjustment. It is a major shortcoming to a stove which otherwise has some very good features.

    I looked at a lot of videos about the Fyreknight before I bought one last week. Your explanation of getting the flame to remain low is by far the best, especially the closeups. First thing I did was disassemble and clean so I could get the very low flame -- works like a charm! The only complaint I have is my piezo igniter doesn't work on either burner...no tick-tick-tick, just goes in and out. But I'm not returning it over that... If I did that, I might get a worse one in return! ~ Kir in Middle Tennessee, USA

    • @ronstrobel9227
      @ronstrobel9227 4 года назад

      @Trikk No, I didn't expect it to be exactly like a home stove. But the piezo igniter just DOESN'T work; it won't light either burner... I have to manually light it every time on both burners. As I said, I'm not returning it for that because otherwise it does work. ~ Kir in Middle Tennessee, USA

    Great Video mate thanks for the tips. I’ve just purchased this stove today (12 March 2021) as a replacement for an old single burner. It looks as though Coleman may have finally listened to all the reviews. When I pulled the spindles out there was no visible grease on them, they actually looked dry. So I followed the steps anyway and added some silicon lube to each. Before I did the second one I tested them both. Prior to silicon it actually sounded squeaky and didn’t turn as easily. Now both burners are spot on, easy to adjust and no probs getting a ‘simmer’ flame.

    Works ! Easy ! First time the plastic knobs come off you need to ease them off from several different angles and a wee bit of wiggling - don't use brute force. If you use pliers to remove nut be careful so as not to butcher the nut. Same goes for spindle, I wrapped a small piece of cloth around spindle. Cheers, good one ( Not you bloody Coleman ! ).

    Thank you. The BCF sales assistant showed me your video when I told him about the problem I had been experiencing with the Coleman Hyperflame I bought last year.
    I pulled out the spindles and there was no grease on them, so I added some INOX Lanolin spray and now it is capable of a low flame. This is a bad design feature from Coleman. They clearly did not test this during manufacture. So many people have complained about it. Like other comments, I was going to throw mine in the bin as well.
