Great rip buddy, I’ve just got my DBXL back out after a grub screw come out in my front drive shaft, the pin moved and it destroyed the hub so now I’ve had to Threadlock all grub screws on all driveshafts. Every nut and bolt has Threadlock Now as I’ve found after a good run things start to work loose.
I haven't had any driveshaft issues besides the the one. I am going to put a set of rings on so the pins can't come out. I believe I have some aluminum tubing just the right size.
Have you replaced the differential covers with aluminum ones? I've seen some opinions that the bearings are falling apart and damaging the differential cover, but I noticed that only people with the electric version have this problem. I ordered my model, I can't wait for it to arrive.
My first gas . On my first day had runaway!! Was lucky nothing or nobody got hurt ! It sayd had fail safe in book and there is for lost of transmitter. But should have WARNING not to let battery get low !! lucky just hit garbag can and started turning around full blast and got stuck in snow was scary ! Ordered the dynamite cut of thing .. thank got did not hurt anyone or damage to 4 cars in yard that weren't mine !! Lol you probably know better but i didn't they should put warning in manual at least !!
I didn't have a runaway. It just stopped working. I've ran them for years and never had one knock on wood. I have kill switch now but yeah in the right circumstances the fail safe will not help. Glad no one got hurt or damaged. These big boys can ruin your day if you get hit
Just ordered mine today. Can’t wait. Thank you for this video.
You're welcome and hope you enjoy it as much as I do
Did you locktite all the screws when you first bought it ? And if no did your screws come out? Because I hear everyone complaining about that
Yeah I did the screws. It's very common for gas rigs to vibrate apart and need to keep an eye on them even with lictite

@@deequsan7491 if you leave it stock the diff housing is ok. More power and you need the aluminum. In my later video I did put aluminum on

And what happened when you burnt your receiver ? Did it runaway ?

Oh yeah backers dozen 13rd👍. Upgrades upgrades and more upgrades gotta love it. Looking good Gus Insane Brappin bash session. Thank's for Sharing👊💥👍💯✌
Thanks man I appreciate it 👍👊💯
what 2 stroke oil do you use ? does it have to be full synthetic ?
For break in a regular oil works best. After I prefer the synthetic but any are fine.
I'm getting my 30cc redcat out now cool buggie you have
Thanks man I appreciate it 👍👊💯
I just got a dbxl for $200. Runs and everything. I’m trying to figure out what mods I want to do to it now.
I would definitely recommend the diff housings I have linked in the description to make sure you don't ruin your gears, then throw a pipe on it
How does this stack up against the losi 5 t 2.0
It's really good. This handles better I think due to being a little shorter and lighter. Both are great though
I own both. honestly the dbxl 2.0 is weak compared to the 5t 2.0. not a fan of it.
@@bearded_ginger6765 what are referring to? Just curious to what you think is better.
Good rip! Definitely well needed mods
Thanks, I might grab the Bartelone pipe soon. More power! lol
awesome rc and cool run
Thanks man I appreciate it 👍👊💯
@@GussCustomCreations 😁👍
How fast is this out of the box?
Just under 40. With the optional gearing it's just over 40
@@GussCustomCreations have you had this side by side with a 5T 2.0?
@@nstewart636 not side by side no. They are similar and share a lot of the same parts.
@@GussCustomCreations have you had a chance to run the new 5t around at all?
@@nstewart636 I have not ran the new 5t yet.
awesome!
Thanks man I appreciate it 👍👊💯
i kinda want one!!!!!!
It's a blast!
Needs a 2nd gear
Or a bigger engine so it can handle more gear but yeah that would be sweet
