The center "muffler" is the factory Helmholtz resonator from what I could see when installed my exhaust. The center exit doesn't actually pass through to it.
Looking forward to watching this build series. But i have to say i am bummed you didn’t complete the exhaust upgrade with a better flowing downpipe. Something like an RV6. Yeah it would have been a little more work but then you have a full performance exhaust. Sounds great tho!
I’ve been waiting for you guys to do this car for the longest time. The moment I found out this was the next sweepstakes car i immediately entered lol 😆
I like how transparent Throtl is when it comes to these kinds of builds. Not only does it show off these amazing brands like MBRP but they completely show the whole build. I apritiate the knowledge and I always learn something new from these videos. Props to Throtl keep err goin!
Put MBRP on my buds GLI; huge diff and the tips look fantastic. Will never understand why they can't just do cars like this FROM THE FACTORY. Sure it's fun for us to do ourselves, but it'd save us $1000's
Nice. I have the same exhaust also on a CBP 2020 CTR. Cool thing is that Martin Barkey lives only an hour away and I've got one of their first exhausts for the CTR. Installed 2 years ago 😎
A comment all the way from the Uk 🇬🇧 Try not to change the format too much guys, I love what you do, but the old format was funny, unscripted and off the cuff. Also you used to get more done, you would tear the vehicle up and dig right into it, that was super entertaining and what made me subscribe in the first place. This is not a moaning session, just a reminder not to lose your way from the format for the sake of content release. Take care guys. 🙏🇬🇧🤓
Love the video. It was perfect. I like both styles of a longer video, but honestly like this style more. Covering one part at a time. It really makes me feel more invested in the build.
i really enjoy throtl but ur right, i love the long videos that go into detail, but installing a exhaust is self explanatory, building engines and shit is where it’s on to drag it on
Why not next time try a kdm project ? Gen coupe 2.0t or veloster n or the new Elantra n. The aftermarket is definitely increasing. Would be dope to see a kdm
I liked the sound of the original, like it pushed alot of air when it got up the revs..with the new exhaust it sounded a bit dull,to deep for this engine size..
That exhaust pipe is pretty oxidized, mbrp should do better then that most if not all new exhaust is always shiny and polished, that look like the exhaust was sitting out in the open for too long and got oxidized
I'm legit installing a DNA Motoring exhaust on my 2005 civic si, lol talk about timing Edit: I just stopped as soon as I saw the rusted nuts on the catalytic converter, not gonna risk it so it's better if I send it to the shop and have installed
I have a mbrp cat back in my mk7.5 gti it is my favorite cat back out of the 3 I have owned. But the noise cancelling thing traps my pops and bangs inside sometimes and it pops inside the exhaust. Kinda weird
Sounds like a proper lawn mower. 😂. I think it needs something more aggressive, needs more decel popping too. Probably just the ricer in me expects it to be obnoxious. Cool car.
Hope y’all read this but is there ANY way y’all can modify a 2017-2018 acura rdx🤔🤔? I need some ideas for mine there’s not a lot out there…PLEASE HELP😂
Should have went AWE or something JDM. Not this jank exhaust. From being a Type R owner this was not the move on yalls part. But it is different and I respect it.
Love the sound. It doesn't sound overpowered and that's perfect
I clicked so fast when I saw this vid pop up. the type r is by far my favorite project car you guys have done so far!
haha me too man i was so rapt!!
Same here,I liked the video as well before I even started to watch it Lol
Just gotta say I found you guys off a random ad for the sti giveaway and I’ve been hooked ever since! You guys are awesome keep up the great work!
That's probably one of the best sounding exhausts for a Civic I've ever heard. Normally they're all raspy, high pitched and droney.
I like the way they designed these cars and the way they sound is pretty incredible, good job throtl once again the best team on RUclips🥇🔥
its a cool car but hideously ugly, to each their own i guess
Nah bro they are commercial af
This is the reason I’m spending money on throtl from now on I love every build they do!!
Mickey getting spicy with the hand gestures while describing the new exhaust piping 😅😂
Hopefully you didn't hit that girl up it's a scam
Never really been into this gen if the Type R but the exhaust alone kinda makes me want one.
One of the best cars Honda ever made , I wish I hadn't sold mine
It’s good u did now you can possibly get the better version which is the FL5
@@forty-glocc if you like a bmw sure, not a bloodline type r

Sounds great, I like that deeper rumbling this system gives the 4 cylinder vs. the often too high brapp sounds of older systems on 4 cylinder cars.
The center muffler serves as a resonator to make the car sound more quiet from the inside

You're the best automobile channel 🛐🛐
The new exhaust sounds awsome! There's no rasp like most 4 banger imports. I can't wait to see the rest of the build!
i got shivers just listening to the sound, I had to replay it just because is that good
What a awesome transition, love the way it sounds!!
I’ve been waiting for you guys to do this car for the longest time. The moment I found out this was the next sweepstakes car i immediately entered lol 😆
It was blowing white smoke with the stock exhaust as well
Not a good sign, I had one in the past and never smoked like that
I think that was vapor because of cold and the monochromatic tone making it look like smoke as well maybe 🤔
@@OutsideDuhBox could be, but its strange
They made it the video black and white so you can't see much of the smoke...they trying to hide it imo
@@757SuperSteve23 lol come on yall...they bought a whole new car they destroyed before, that vette..they have money...why would they hide that lol
This exhaust is a flex 💪

Y’all did Mickey dirty with his explanation about rear brackets! He’s about to get meme’d!!! 😆
The new exhaust sounds great 👍.
THANK GODDDDDDD I LOVE THISSSSSSS. Thank you for the post🙏🙏🙏🙏
This build is going to look amazinggg, can’t wait😮💨😮💨🙌🏾..
That exhaust sounds so nice 👌
The design and sound quality top notch 👌
Wait ill get right intouch with you wat dud I win something
Just wondering what you guys do with the stock parts after they get switched?
Nice. I have the same exhaust also on a CBP 2020 CTR. Cool thing is that Martin Barkey lives only an hour away and I've got one of their first exhausts for the CTR. Installed 2 years ago 😎
Just bought a cold air intake, thanks throtl!
Imagine winning the car of your dreams! It would be a honor

finally, you guys start using mics

Woahhh, watch that hand movement. 😂 6:47
🤨
The face on the exhaust @3:30 😂
Dang! Now that's what an exhaust should sound like!!
Been hooked for a couple months now and even entered the giveaway and am now a VIP on your website
It gives it a different exhaust tone.
I love the sound
The center section of the exhaust is used to control drone.
Definitely add in a Hondata flash pro with this!
The exhaust is made like that to help drowning and I think the middle sucks in air at certain times
I can’t wait to see how it comes out
Once this car is finished I’m gonna build this in Gran Turismo 7
Y’all could of done more than an exhaust don’t drag these videos out just to get content out because that is not entertaining
True. Throtl has been boring to me nowadays because of this style of content.
I skip through the whole thing just to hear the exhaust tbh
frr, i understand they do it to make more money out of uploads but there’s gotta be a better way
Don't watch then 🤔
i really enjoy throtl but ur right, i love the long videos that go into detail, but installing a exhaust is self explanatory, building engines and shit is where it’s on to drag it on
Man, that sounds awesome!
Why did you guys use a high torque impact wrench? And what kind of impact wrench you guys are using?
Why not next time try a kdm project ? Gen coupe 2.0t or veloster n or the new Elantra n. The aftermarket is definitely increasing. Would be dope to see a kdm
Love this type of content
If you thought the 3 tips did nothing before, those 2 outer tips do absolutely nothing now lol
Sounds so much better! 👍
Enjoy every video from ur channel
Thank you guys and again love the channel
The black looks good n the car
I wonder if he's gonna button it up...
Good job guys going to be a great setup Honda
Great comparison video!
What was up with the Easter Egg? Face on the center exhaust, looked hilarious, on the removal! 😄
I liked the sound of the original, like it pushed alot of air when it got up the revs..with the new exhaust it sounded a bit dull,to deep for this engine size..
I wonder how's the skyline now?
Where is it?
I think it would look better with 3 equal size exhaust tips
That exhaust pipe is pretty oxidized, mbrp should do better then that most if not all new exhaust is always shiny and polished, that look like the exhaust was sitting out in the open for too long and got oxidized
Man that sounds so good damn
Golf R build could be niceeeee
whats your guys best idea for my first car ?
Different tone more timber, nice
I'm legit installing a DNA Motoring exhaust on my 2005 civic si, lol talk about timing
Edit: I just stopped as soon as I saw the rusted nuts on the catalytic converter, not gonna risk it so it's better if I send it to the shop and have installed
just spray some pb blaster and let it soak a bit should break loose just fine.
^pb blaster works wonders. Had the same issue on my wrx when I did the downpipe. Just let the nuts soak for a day then youre gucci
Yes finally more civic content bruhh
But yoo.. just the exhaust 😑
New subscriber here from philippines
I have only 1 tip. All that's needed.
That is sounding beast. My funds are on complete halt maybe one day.. year.. I can do the same to my 22 wrx. Or just win the contest 😬
Maaaan you guys had me fooled…the whole time in the beginning I was like “where’s the stock exhaust sounds tho?” 🤣🤣
why does is smoke like a rotary? no hate, just wondering...
Is nobody gonna talk about the fact the exhaust looks used?
Could u guys do a single cab f150 whipple in the future. I’ve been looking for one but it’s hard as hell to find a aluminum body, single cab.
I have a mbrp cat back in my mk7.5 gti it is my favorite cat back out of the 3 I have owned.
But the noise cancelling thing traps my pops and bangs inside sometimes and it pops inside the exhaust. Kinda weird
Skip to 9:00
mbrp sounds good but if refit downpipe sounds ??
I have a 96 honda accord 4 door v-tech. You guys can do a build for me. I wouldn't even be mad
Amazing Content ever
How’s the drone on this
Sounds like a proper lawn mower. 😂. I think it needs something more aggressive, needs more decel popping too. Probably just the ricer in me expects it to be obnoxious. Cool car.
Can't un-see the surprised face on the middle muffler @ 2:40-2:41
I need to know where Mickey got that hat from!
Hope y’all read this but is there ANY way y’all can modify a 2017-2018 acura rdx🤔🤔? I need some ideas for mine there’s not a lot out there…PLEASE HELP😂
There it goes my dream car once again :)
Does this model civic have the fake exhaust sound speaker in the glove box? Worth disconnecting that if it does.
Dont get me wrong its better than the stock exhaust but man theres so many good brands out there and u picked mbrp out of all!? Lol
Just FL5 copie exhaust not crazy sound, all civic need straigh pipe make 3 big exit and no resonator.
I have a MBRP on my can am
Nice beat ❤❤
Nice Sound
Remus exhaust definitely would’ve sounded better
Should have went AWE or something JDM. Not this jank exhaust. From being a Type R owner this was not the move on yalls part. But it is different and I respect it.
6:48 pause
I feel like it’s a little too quiet
Yes please send it to me in sweden
Next project mazda speed3
Y'all saw the face on the middle part of the stock exhaust right
