    What is deductible

Medicare Part A has a $1632 deductible in 2024. But that is NOT an annual deductible it is per admittance. It is based on a 60 day cycle, so if you are re-admitted to the hospital for the same issue within 60 days you won't have to pay another deductible. If you are re-admitted to the hospital within 60 days for another issue or after 60 days for the same issue you will be charged another deductible. Medicare Part B has a $240 deductible in 2024 and that is an annual deductible so you only have to pay it 1 time.
