Hey fellas and your better third, Heidi! Sorry you couldn't connect with one this trip. 2013 produced a 53" (stocked fish) and 2014 a 55" (natural) for my friends and me. Good times! Watched the lake turn crystal clear over the years we fished it. Still have some lake flies plastered on the front of my hull from an '09 summer night ride home. I keep them there for the memories and a few in my teeth as well ;) Have a great winter!

Those old catches were both slobs. Mille Lacs is a fickle lake. Glad to see you try it again this fall. You heard about the 61 1/4 inch fish sampled by the Band D.N.R. this Spring while do a fisheries survey? Judging by the landmarks I could make out you guys covered some water. I don't envy you that ride back to the ramp. I've done a few of those out there, no fun at all.
That drag check was scary. Imagine if a monster smashes that on the way down and you have braid wrapped around your fingers. That’s something I do before I cast.

Sad thing I had the boat winterized today! My dad wanted to and we share the boat. He's 62 now and just can't handle the conditions anymore 🙁

That is where I usually go for muskies... I had a follow of a 40+ inch fish this fall. My dad caught a 48 inch and I caught 42 inch the same day. I’ve heard some stories that there is a monster in weed beds in the summer. Thanks for replying!

Have not fished there in 12 years did very well 15 - 18 years ago, why do you guys think they fell off? Not enough management, delayed mortality ? Love all your videos though but you do need to do some LOTW ;)
