If I had to guess, When he gets mounted, he baits people into thinking he doesn't know they will try arm-bar him. He was ready to defend and roll Rickson over as soon as he went for it. I don't the guy has ever roll with someone like Rickson, (who's grappled for all his life) who counters him pretty quickly. Once he gets back on him (use to do this a lot) he grabs his collar (sweat shirt) and acts like hes going to try a choke. Distracts them, and instead go for the arm lock.
@unclegarrad I don't believe going for takedowns is that dangerous but I do believe it is an important part of training, especially for mma or street fighting. Most bjj guys, even a lot of high level ones, suck on their feet. You see them struggling often in mma to get it to the ground, then they do desperation stuff like pull guard. Btw, I am a bjj practiioner, I just think starting on the knees is silly. No disrespect to Rickson.
@unclegarrad nowadays its 99% groundwork but wasnt supposed to be that way,go to gracie miami or torrance academies and youll spar standing up with strikes included and continue on the ground, thats gjj,not sport grappling from the knees that gets you killed on the street.
@poolboyinla the aim is to focus on ground fighting technique, if they start on the feet then that is less time practicing ground fighting. If takedowns need practice better to do some Judo or (maybe wrestling for no-gi).
@unclegarrad, The problem with sports jiujitsu is in the concept: Sports. @at the Gracie miami, Master Pedro showed us many times the differences, and how can you can really be beat up in a real fight with some of the sports techniques!
i cant stop amaze how easy ricksin sweeps and mount those guys.. incredible!!
Rickson is just amazing! I would give literally anything to learn under him.
Rickson flows like water!
Nice straight arm bar when the guy had his back.
For the rest of his life the guy at 2:45 can say he escaped a Rickson armbar. ;)
thanks for posting this man.. are you the camera man?
5:00 Fedor is having some trouble.

You can see that he try to flip him over at the last minute but Rickson got his leg around him quick and that was all she wrote.

They’re all white belts. Most purple belts could do this.

i dont get how the guy at around 2:30 til 2:50 seems to be quite advanced at first and then falls for such an wasy armbar
@PitchfeverAcademy LOL he can say that....but 10 seconds later, he gets armbar.
@palogomest Hélio Gracie falava que Rolls era melhor que Rickson comparando os 2...quem sabe... !

I wish Rickson would grow his hair out again and have a final sport match with another old timer.. like Osiander.
Osiander? Jesus Christ dude.... Osiander isn't at any high level, never was.
