A Reading & Conversation with Myriam J.A. Chancy & Alison Saar

L.A. Louver and Beyond Baroque were pleased to cohost an in-person reading and conversation between artist Alison Saar and author Myriam J.A. Chancy on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Chancy read from her novel, What Storm, What Thunder, included on “Best of 2021” lists by Kirkus, Amazon, the Chicago and New York Public Libraries and NPR. Chancy's readings were interwoven with discussions between Chancy and Saar, and followed by questions from the audience.
This program supported the group exhibition SeenUNseen, curated by Alison Saar, and on view 11 November 2021 - 8 January 2022. Participating artists: JOJO ABOT, Rina Banerjee, Vanessa German, Kathy Grove, Julia Haft-Candell, Kenyatta A.C. Hinkle, Ricardo Vicente Jose Ruiz, Alison Saar, Keisha Scarville and Arthur Simms.
