  • Wherein we don't quite compare this American one to some other versions as much as some would like?
But we'll go there as much as possible maybe?? 3 Tone Sunburst is the actual color. This model doesn't come in red for some reason. [BUT there is a version with the single coil that comes in a red, but not the alnico pickups one, either.]
I misspoke a bit that the neck here I think is actually modeled after a LATE 50s V instead of the earlier 50s "bat", so hopefully that helps. I don't know why I didn't register that it was basically the same shape as the '57 Strat that I didn't quite vibe with for this reason, but it's more clear to me now a whopping week later if anyone is checking in who didn't see this post right away already.
I think I forgot to mention a bit about how if I was a beginning player or teaching a beginning player, I would more likely guide them to a T Model guitar than an S Model [Tele vs. Strat]. I didn't talk about famous musicians and forgot to show off my thick 70s-style flowery strap that I bought for something else but might use for this after all.
[Don't know which neck I'd recommend for them, per se, except most beginning players won't be starting off with a guitar much more expensive than some Squier Affinity model, which all have basically the same thin necks and weak, mediocre pickups...]
