Canto de Ossanha, Mais que nada… I had always suspected that Laura wasn’t only a smooth, lovely singer, but that her hidden versatility should one day explode like a firework. Clearly now, as a skilled magician she can transform herself into a force of nature, showing an unexpected energy and an extremely determined personality: too marvelous for words. How could we not love her more and more ?!
And what on these musicians? The meaningful guitar solos, sustained by chosen and essential notes of the bass, are simply driving me crazy. And the pleasant and familiar environment? I feel forced to listen to these masterpieces at least once a day, asking myself where or when I have deserved such a pure enjoyment.

I have to say that I have been listening to your music for the past couple of weeks and applaud you for all of the great videos of Bossa Nova standards that you have recorded. You are bringing new life and energy to this beautiful genre of music. I have begun to learn these songs and find it to be a wonderful study of jazz guitar and musical composition. I have also been reading about the roots of Bossa Nova, how jazz and samba were blended together in the fifties and sixties to create Bossa Nova. America jazz really reached a climax by the end of the fifties, and just as it did Bossa Nova stepped into the room and created this wonderful timeless music of the early sixties.
I am so sorry for this pandemic and how it must have put a crimp in your style just as everything was coming together for Nova. I see that you run in LA and recorded in Silver Lake. I was living in East Hollywood in 2016 before moving to Orange County. I also see you did your mixing for the re-release of your album in Joshua Tree, which I love. I have been going there for Bhaktifest and JT Music festivals for a long time. So I just missed you guys. I can't wait to. be able to see you in the future. You should play Spaghettini in Seal Beach. So be safe! Survive this thing. The future looks bright beyond this mess.

One of the best bands on You Tube. Great music AND I love the black ties! Fantasic Jorge Ben tune. In rock and jazz we call this a "power trio", (of course they have added a great signer as well.) But all this music from three instruments is impressive. (nobody did the power trio better than Nat King Cole).

Actually this song was written by the Brazilian composer Jorge Benjor (at the time his name was Jorge Ben). It was made famous by the great sergio mendes.
