Did anyone notice that he didn't hold for breathing a single time...That's something incredible as a flautist I know the importance of breathing in between lines ! Hats off to you sir
Loved every bit of it.... i mean this one of the best genuine music I have listened without any form of digitization.... !! Thanks a lot for uploading .... :)
Did u gave something to him, ki sukha dhanyavaad bolkar apna youtube video bana liya?? I listen to his music n feel like talking more to this man.......How humble n simple.........dil khush ho gaya........pure music, no adulteration........
We Rajasthanis are so simple and friendly ... that somebody comes and ask to play flute; we become ready ... thought at last we don't get something in reward ... We treat guests as Kesariya Balam ... we don't ask for money after performing ... that's why we are poor due to these selfish tourists ...
Exquisitely beautiful. I was also touched by how humble and sincere he is. Very generous in sharing his art, and he seemed eager to tell you about the song. I understood the Hindi / Urdu at the end but when he explained the lyrics/meaning of the song was he speaking in the local language? It almost sounded similar to Punjabi, parts of what he was saying, which I also understand. Appreciate the folk music of all of the Subcontinent.
@gitabobita first the cameraman says that was great and asks what his name is. i think he said his name is dharu ram, and the camera man asays thank you that was great again. the musician then says this song was his wedding's song and he recites the jist of the song. then the cameraman basically says wonderful and thats beautiful
It's called circular breathing, a skill that allows to breathe in by the nose while still blowing air trapped in your larynx and mouth. It's widely used by many wind instruments including trumpet, horn. And specifically alghoza also uses this technique as a way to mark beats. Such great playing!

Truly Enchanting and the mesmerizing impact of it on the children is also to be noticed,
We should respectfully nurture traditional culture and excellence, which is unfortunately about to die.

This is awesome! It's called circular breathing; many instrumentalists try to master it and fail, he seems to be having fun with it!
