Hi everyone! Here's my first drawing on glass! I loved working on this project and I really hope you enjoy the video! I've been making some upgrades to my studio setup recently, trying to improve the quality of the videos I upload. This is my first video edited with Premiere Pro!
Be sure to let me know what you think! Thank you so much for the continued amazing support! It means a lot. I hope you're having a great day. :)

It looks awesome.Your such a good drawer. I hope we can see you draw on glass more because this was cool.
Look great can you do a fox like that
This was really good. And yes, separation of the foreground and background works. May be try some mythical creatures for your next project with glass? I think it'd be awesome.
Could you plx draw a realistic snake.. plz
Could you plz make a tutorial on how to draw a crocodile
Plz plz pkz
This might just be my obsession with Ghibili art, but as soon as you started drawing the eyes. I knew you were drawing Totoro.
Haha awesome! Thank you so much for watching. :)
My jaw has disconnected from my skull and is now on the floor due to how good the drawing turned out and how smooth the creation process seemed to be. I would love to try this interesting and crafty art project now.
Haha thank you so much for the support!!! :) I definitely recommend trying a drawing on glass! I've been so excited to share this video because this project ended up being even more fun than I expected!
@@LethalChris1 Awesome! I wouldn't mind seeing you do more of these!
bro the idea with flipping the glass is mad smart!
Thank you so much!!! :D
It really does a have 3D effect. That was incredible!😊🔥
Thank you sooo much!!
I would of never thought of wearing a glove! That will help with smears so much. Thank you!
This would be awesome as a phone wallpaper
WAWW... Ghibli studio use a really satisfying colorful palette in their movies and you really nailed it ..,great job 👍🤩🤩🤩
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words!! :)
Using multiple panes of glass would probably make a really sick 3d piece.
Ooooooh
I haven't seen this kind of art in decades. I used to do similar" silver paper pictures". The pen & ink outline was done first, then the painting from foreground back, then the blank areas were filled in with coloured foil paper (mostly saved from candy wrappers). Everything was done on the back side of the glass. My dad had one from the 50's that was inlaid with butterfly wings (cruel, I know). They've all lost their colour now but it was pretty when I was a kid. Very cool how you did yours to get that shadow effect.
the skill, creativity and execution never ceases to inspire, Chris!
Thank you so much for the amazing support. :)
@@LethalChris1 always! cant believe it's been 4 years :0!
I really like these shadows created by the different layers of glass when seen from the top!
Whoa, I adore the end-result, and the process, and the whole video! You've composed this piece so well, dude.
Thank you so much for the kind words!! I really appreciate it. :) I loved working on this project and I've been so excited to share this video haha. Hope you're having a great weekend.
The new lights look fantastic
Awesome!! Thank you so much. :)
I can't believe how beautiful this turned out. Every time your next move was revealed my heart sank a little further into my chest, like "oh my God he's doing THIS, TOO?!"
This is so soothing and as always, absolutely beautiful
Thank you so much for the support. :)
@@LethalChris1 Always man! You're drawings are wonderful and your videos are so calming and relaxing, watching them at the end of the day drives away all the stress.
Awesome! I actually just ordered supplies to try this! Love how yours came out totoro is awesome!
Thank you!!! :) Nice! That's great to hear! I definitely recommend trying this out. I've been so excited to share this video because the project ended up being so fun! Wishing you lots of support with your artwork!
Lights look amazing.
Just a suggestion but could you do a Q&A?
Awesome! Thank you so much! :) Great suggestion too! I'd love to try more videos like that soon.
I love it, totoro looks like you exactly like in the anime especially with the black outlining. It actually looks insane❤️
Would love to see your red caped character done like this 😊
Oooo that's a great suggestion!!! :D Thank you so much!
@@LethalChris1 you're welcome 😊😊😊
You are literally magic.
Wow, thank you so much!! :D
Lethal Magic 🤭
Ooh can’t wait!
Absolutely nostalgic and amazing work, it actually inspired me to make some art works myself again. Beautiful inspiration pictures as well, I love Sakura trees they are amazingly beautiful and my favourite flowers, wonderful video to wake up to on a long weekend here in Townsville
Thank you so much for the kind words, Eden! I'm so glad you're feeling inspired to work on some art again. That's amazing. I love this time of year because of the Sakura trees. :) Hope you have a great weekend!
Seriously posca needs to sponsor you and that glass project really suits your style! Love love love
This was awesome! The details and the colors of the poscas pop on the glass. I'm going to try this since I work a glass company.
I'm so sorry this is a little late of reply but this is my favorite piece of art so far. Doing Totoro is so amazing, seeing more of Studio Ghibli art is so satisfying. So please keep up the good work Chris your doing amazingly.
I comment this on every new video you post; but this is the best thing you've created so far, the details and the clean style look amazing, keep it up! 🔥
Thank you so much for the awesome amount of support! It means a lot. :) I'm so glad I finally attempted this project because it ended up being even more fun than I'd expected! Hope you're having a great weekend.
Dude they are super vibrant on that glass love the look
Wow. Just wow! It turned out amazing! It was also really satisfying to watch.
You have such incredible control over the media you use. Brilliant work as always. Amazing.
That looks wonderful. I hope you do more drawing on glass. The possibilities are interesting.
Wow this is amazing! The colors look so perfect!
Thank you so much!!! :)
More videos of glass drawings would be so great to see!!! I loved this
I love this so much! I never thought to draw on glass with posca pens. Now I wanna try lol 😊🙃
Thank you so much for the support! :) I highly recommend giving it a try!!
Beautiful work and video Chris! The lighting and end result is perfect!
Yay! Thank you so much!!! :D
Dragon drawing on glass would look amazing. And that did turned out pretty cool
Why this is amazing, you make it look so easy lol you’ve inspired me, I’m so gonna try this
Thank you so much for the kind words! I highly recommend trying this out. :D
I never would have thought to flip the image to work on the back!! Still, it’s a beautiful piece and you did an AMAZING job! I bet in person we would be able to see the 3D effect more, but I can certainly tell it’s on two layers. I love your videos. They really make me smile and I adore you art.
I am an engraver and I love glass! I ones made a painting on glass christmas themed. Trying new things is like an adventure sometimes its nice and sometimes you have to repeat. Well don on the first try.
Oh wow this glass drawing is amazing!! 👏🏻👏🏻 I'd love to see some landscape glass drawings! Oooh how about a "stained glass" drawing? 😁
This is amazing, it looks so good with the shadows on the different layers
the coolest part is where the front and back painting overlap so theres this cool kinda drop shadow there
at first i thought you were going to approach this by flipping the image so it was mirrored and only painting on one side (sort of in layers, outlines first then shadow then colour) and then at the end flipping it over and displaying it that way. Ive seen so many people do that and it turned out good, but the way you did it is also so great!! i loved the painting of the back side and the front side coming together, it was so cool! when you displayed it against the sky i almost squealed 😂amazing job! xxx
What a fun vídeo. Your talent is huge and I’m so happy I got to see it in action - from the way you taped the glass to the video editing. Amazing. Thank you for sharing!
I would love to see a Castle in the Sky piece done on metal, I bet you could get some cool effects on the clouds and the sky and maybe even some depth of field effects on the structure itself!
I love it and I love how you have been using different things to paint on lately.
Omfg this is literally the best glass painting with markers I’ve ever seen!!!!🔥🔥 Great zhob
You know what would be even more awesome. Multi layered resin painting ;) That way you can have as many layers as you like, although the whole process is a lot longer, cause you need to wait for each layer to dry out (UV resin is a lot faster but needs the right equipment), and building a mold.. and probably sanding down the edges after everything's done :P
Neat painting. Love the 3D effect of the paint. So cool how it turned out.
Wow 🎨👍
Your videos are so relaxing and awesome, you’re an amazing artist Chris
❤ Wooow I really love this, so beautiful!!!
Thank you so much, Lily!!! :)
Very close to the style Disney used to use with their art/cartoons. It was done on a piece of paper and layers of heavy plastic added extra details. They called them 'cells'. I used to have one.. wished I'd have held on to it
Totoro looks awesome, such a wonderful fun picture. Go you.
It is a shame that I can only "Like" this video one time! This is awesome!! Please do more glass projects... Thank you so much for this. I am inspired to do something like this myself!
Thank you so much for the amazing support! I really want to try more glass art. I actually have more pieces of glass in my studio that I might try to use soon! I highly recommend giving this a try! Thanks again!! :) Hope you're having a great weekend.
That is so KOOL Chris ! ! ! !
This is so cool! I hope you try this medium again! I always love to see what you do with different materials and mediums
It's always a pleasure to watch your videos 👌🏽 keep it up man❤️
Thank you so much, Matt!!! :)
I would love to see several layers with either glass or epoxy resin. That would be so cool.
A true art 🔥
One of my favourite videos ever that you have done. Really inspirational and encouraging to me to get back into drawing and colour.
Amazing, loved seeing this technique!! Picture came out awesome.
wassup dude love to see the new vids!!! ur so underated!
Thank you so much for the support!!!! :D
I saw this on minoris channel and loved it. Nice to see it on other channels now too. :) Drawing on glass needs more attention!
Awesome painting really cool also quick tip you should spray the painting with a spray sealer so if it gets scratched the paint will be just fine
Thank you so much! :) I agree, that's a great idea!
Thank you for responding i dint expect you to reply
@@LethalChris1 usually acrylic spray varnish and you want to test whatever you're using before, on something similar you don't care too much. Some sealers behave weirdly with Poscas. Without varnish you can scratch off Posca from glass with your fingernails.
Beautiful artwork and video, Chris!
Amazing as always.
Thank you so much for the support!!
Such a cool idea and result! Love your work
Beautiful
Thank you!! :)
Wow! Really love the look of this. Made me crave trying it myself! Amazingly inspiring video ❤😍
Wow , what a extraordinary drawing , this looks cool
absolutely stunning. I LOVE IT. I just had a random thought. what if you painted on a glass hanging circle thingy lol this way it could catch the sunlight. so if you hang it somewhere, for instance on a tree. where you know at just the right time of day the sun will shine through it, I think that would be amazing. So maybe paint a forest scene, leaving a blank space for where the sun hits it?
This is amazing! I love your art! Please keep up the good working and keep inspiring others! ❤️
Thank you so much, Cassidy!! That means a lot. :) Hope you're having a great weekend.
This is absolutely beautiful and stunning. I love Ghibli movies, this reminds me of when animators used to paint on acotate or clear films cells when making movies. It's just so clean and smooth looking
I love how on glass you can still see white marker color
So awesome! Love to see one of your Earth or Fire dragons done on glass...
that turned out wonderful! 😀 great colour choices
Wow, one of your best I would say!! Well done!
It is so satisfying to see this🤩🤩.. just imagine how it would be while making it..
I love it
You are beyond talented!
Really cool idea man. You're super creative. I really enjoy your art and videos
This is sooo beautiful. Well done 💜 I want that!
Love it!
Thank you so much!!
Totoroooooo 😍
This is so cool!
Thank you!!!
this looks awesome, love your work Chris keep it up.
Yeasss!
I think this really beautiful❤
Thank you so much, Maria! :)
under rated
It looks amazing bro!!
Thank you so much! :D
WOW im such a totoro fan and i love it soooo much ! Keep on work ❤️
This looks amazing and turned out great. Sorta reminds me of resin layered paintings where you paint a layer then pour a layer of resin and repeat. Has a really cool 3D effect.
It's amazing what you can do with Poscas
This came out so cute =) Love it!
Your artwork is so good!!! Amazing painting, Thumbs up! ♥💥♥
This piece turned out awesome, Chris! What a great idea! 🙌🙌 Thank you so much for sharing, and new lighting looks perfect!
Brilliant idea! This is amazing man.
So cool! It looks like an old-school animation cell. :)
Beautiful!
It's a marvellous work congratulations Chris :D
