Hi there, my mystery snails recently laid 2 clutches of eggs just above the waterline. I am thinking of leaving them and let them hatch and drop into the tank. ( i live in the tropics so the average humidity is always around 70 to 90%,) Will that work? Also, I don't feed my snails any extra calcium supplement but i have a 1 inch layer of coral chips on the bottom, do you think thats enough?
Hello! The eggs will be fine since they were laid above the water and you live in a humid area. Coral chips are great for snails since they can absorb the calcium from it, but in my experience they don’t actually eat it. I would recommend getting calcium tabs or a cuttlebone for the snails to ingest. 🐌
