Honestly they look like shit and have several problems in terms of repairability and modification however we gotta start somewhere with this tech and I’m all for it

They look really good compared to where the tech was at a few years ago, scroll back on my page I’ve been filming projects for half a decade.

There’s no advantage to printing walls.

You can make very weird shapes (which nobody wants) very easily tho.

@@MicroageHD Problem not to get a wall of strange forms. Problem to find furniture for it.

People can build houses however they want, it's good to have options because wooden frame walls aren't perfect either.

Do people understand innovation and improvement? What do you think the first car looked like? Now, they can drive themselves. Home printing in 50 years will put every trade out of business. The future will be engineering, designing, programming, and servicing this equipment.

I was super excited about this when printing houses started out. Unfortunately they haven't really made the price any lower nor have they really sped up construction.

This is awesome people are developing this! However havin a epoxy interface is exactly what's not monolithic.

  • @chrisludston1455

How many out builders out here have ever seen any type of epoxy last more than 10 years ?
No matter what you do, the bond fails, epoxy degrades, and has to be redone.
What do you do when the epoxy degrades ?
Or, where are any structural mechanical connections to the slab, or other walls ?
What happens when a tornado or hurricane hits ?
You have 10 tons of concrete on top of you !
    Sure...
    It may be fireproof.
Keep those mortar printed homes in wild fire country, as safety huts !
Not in tornado, hurricane, flash flood prone areas !
Common sense has left the planet !

Really??? You can't think of ANY benefits to this technology? The tech has a ways to go but there's no point acting like it isn't improving very quickly and has already begun to reduce labour on site
