    All he needed was a chance. He needed a real coach, ice time and confidence which he got this year. He easily could have put up 80 points this year but was extremely unlucky.
    Once he gets that PP1 point, he definitely is still a 90-100 point player. Amazing to see his progression continue into this playoffs.

    It's great to see him develop into a solid player. You want to see players with high expectations meet them, and do well and with all the hype with Laff, the fact he struggled early on was concerning, but he also had to deal with not just COVID messing with his draft year and rookie season, but that Rangers team that season was a mess (See Tony D). It took time. I think next season we're expecting an even bigger breakout, but my main hope is that whether or not he becomes a superstar, that he is able to have a long and fulfilling career. Laf was relegated, along with Kakko, to the bottom 6 because he had two of the worst coaches of the last 30 years running the show and refusing to play him because he wasn't a sure thing. Barclay Goodrow was used as a top line winger more often than Lafi or Kakko by Quinn and Gallant. Trash coaches just run their vets because they don't actually have to do any coaching.
    In almost any other situation, Lafi would have been made the center point of a team and the offense would have been worked around him.
    Laf has STILL never gotten #1 PowerPlay unit time. Total bust though. Because look at all the other 1st overalls, who are instantly the focal point of a garbage team's offense. I'm sure Jack Hughes had to "prove" his worth from the 4th line and no power play before he was given top line/power play time.

      Lafreniere gets next to no power play time. Think Stutzle has the points totals without top end power play time? Raymond as well?

For the record, he's not a bust either, YET! My point is he's still not playing at the level he was drafted at. His level of play right now is that of a 2nd rounder. But again, due to his age, he still has time to live up to is draft stock/hype. So he's not a bust, YET!

      @@BKDBut It doesn't matter, he should have been scoring almost a point per game at this point. This was the best regular season team in the league, he was a top 6 forward and gets only 57 pts and hes being praised? yea he took a step forward but his bust title is very much on his back still. Stutzle is on one of the worst teams in the league and he had 58 pts in his second year then 90 and took a step back with 70 this season on a bottom tier team. Rossi just put up 40 in his first year this season, Raymond 57, 45 and 72 pts, etc etc etc.. it took Lafreniere 4 years to past the mark of 40. Even with if you redrafted the 2020 draft with his performance this year he isnt even a top 5 pick. Rag fans have to stop coddling him already, I understand the excitement at him get almost 60 pts (sarcasm) but you will have to come to grips it wasn't the correct pick. Can he build off this season and improve? of course, will he? who knows, Time will tell. He's certainly in a good stop to do so

      @BKDBut 22 дня назад

      @@TheLastSamurai813 Of course it was the correct pick. You don't pick based on their stats after 4 pro seasons.
      Tons of Rangers fans have talked about trading him for years so you don't even know what you're talking about
      This is clearly going over your low brow head, but Stutzle being on a trash team means he gets a massive amount of minutes, and is looked to as THE weapon. Are you aware that if you play more you'll score more? Stutzle's first season his ATOI was 15:44. Lafreniere has 1 season with more than that... this season... 17:16.
      Stutzle's 90 pt season he play 1659 minutes. This season was Lafreniere's only season above 1233, and he only got 1416. And with 240 extra minutes, Stutzle scored exactly ZERO more even strength goals.
      You use 0 context. Stop embarrassing yourself.

    • @TheLastSamurai813

      @@BKDBut trash teams usually means less opportunities to score because you’re on a trash team and don’t have many chances to score. @BKDBut 22 дня назад

      @@TheLastSamurai813 You'd love to go back and forth if you had valid points, but you don't. And since actual delving into the numbers show that Stutzle is simply amassing more due to more opportunity you are especially uninterested in continuing.
      One of the main reasons Ottawa is such trash is because of their goaltending. That makes zero difference for Stutzle's scoring. The bottom 6 doesn't matter. The defense depth doesn't matter.
      What does make a difference for Stutzle? Playing with linemates and on a PP with Tkachuk, Debrincat, Giroux, Batherson.
      Or do you think Lafreniere sitting on the bench while having a top line of Kreider, Zibanejad and Tarasenko is more conducive to scoring because it's a better top line?
