42,000 AX-5 Cloudhopper-First Flight Frederick Airport

- The first free flight of the AX-5 42k Cloudhopper. Made entirely of 1.3 Soar Coat, and a Lindstrand Series 1 lower end. Took off on one side of Frederick Municipal Airport and spent 45 minutes working the winds around the airport in my own little box. This system is going to keep getting a few modifications and then possibly be taken through certification as an XLTA, but for now it is flown as an Ultralight.

LOL Flintstones theme, as he's trundling along the taxiway with his feet! Really enjoyed this! Thanks. :)
Super cool congratulations
Wish this was a level on pilotwings
That’s amazing
seems like youd have more stability if the bottom opening was more constricted, otherwise its just a massive parachute?
Adams balloons sells cloudhoppers for about 10k
I'm buying one soon.
Real nice, what burner is that please?
Its a cameron i believe
Great POV during this cool flight! If you will be at the East Coast XLTA (it's in Connecticut this year), perhaps I'll get photos...
I was there I live in Conn and I have had my pilot license for 30 year's now
Is it for sale? What a great flying machine.
Posted your video on cloud hoppers on facebook. Almost time to try out my tank rider for the first time. Waiting on the weather!! What is the weight of your system. Mine is just over 150# with a 20 gallon Aerostar tank.
