      @TimWaddington quick question as I'm still learning and plan on setting up a larger. (Large for me) pond. 3.6x3m wondering on filtration to cost ratio mostly. And my question is is a bakki shower and a moving bed the same function or do they aid different colony of bacteria for a different purpose. Thanks again for your time bud. Hope to have something worthy or being featured on your channel in the near future. Think I'm now hucked lol

      @@lyonscultivars you need some kind of mechanical filtration that too

      @TimWaddington ye was hoping to get away with a multibay with foams and jap matting before getting to shower or moving bed. I'm just curious witch is best more effective o. A cost point and also footprint of the umit

    Lovely pond can see alot of thought has gone into it. Wouldnt it be greatnif these modern ponds had a bit of plant life going on, Lilly pads etc....something for the fish to investigate etc....

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  Год назад +1

      Something for the fish to destroy really. Koi will rip apart any plant.

    I can’t help thinking tropical fish of a medium size with plants and what not,Rocks, driftwood would be really special. Ray’s Arrawana with River fly turtle and maybe a couple of Koi 👍😂
    Great build though I’m very jealous

    Can I ask please. The nighttime shot. The illumination, was it purely for above or is there some in pond illumination?
    Thanks

    Sorry, should have praised the build. It was good to see the heart of the pond, the filter house, free of clutter and obviously planned services routing.

      @@TimWaddington I learned that from old Asian guys here in Cali, to break out pond syndrome. Takes about 4 times. But everyone has there own way

  • @yankeedoodledandeefirecrac7518

    why does he spend about $40k on a pond or TANK and then only spend $ 1000 on total fish quality??

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  Год назад

      The pond is just finished. He will keep his old koi in there and then next year start buying more Koi. Also some people don’t care about quality, they just want to come home, have a beer and enjoy the actual fish.
