Watched on phone but going to watch on tv because it looks so beautiful! Thanks for sharing Jasper and your hikes with us! Yosemite is on my bucket list!
Glad you like Yosemite. It is by far our favorite park. We've been there over 50 times and make every effort to get there at least once a year. We are Thousand Trails members, so that's where we stay, not needing to fight the reservation battle to get a spot in the park. Our favorite activity is to ride our bikes around the park, or, when the water in the Merced is right, kayak in the river. We wish you safe and adventurous travels.
I loved this style of video, especially as it points out where dogs can go! It can be difficult to find places to stay and things to do when you have a dog! Also, I loved seeing Jasper get out and about more and see his playful side (or just enjoying eating the snow).
Ah yes my fav intro: Hi Everybody! I’m Cass, this is Jasper…made my day! But what’s so special about this video (though it’s obvious in all your videos) is your love for Jasper! The relationship of love and trust is amazing! Oh and the scenery was nice too!
I've had a sh**-eatin' grin through this whole video. I'm stuck in a city earning some money but leaving in less than a month to go back on the road. You really turned my mood around. I've got reservations outside Yosemite this year! Can't wait. So beautiful....
Loved seeing so much of your camera hog Jasper. I didn't realize that Yosemite had so many paved trails. I guess that means it's pretty accessible for all skills levels of a hiker.
I enjoyed this video more than usual. The gorgeous vistas, good info, and seeing the bond between you and Jasper. Loved it! And congrats on the sponsorship!
So glad you enjoyed the video!! Wasn't sure with the new style of video, but good to know and I'll do more in the future! And thank you! Can't believe I have a sponsor, it's surreal.
Waggle monitor! Love it. Now Jasper knows when to come back and check on you when he leaves you alone in the Base station to go eat snow and chase squirrels.
Loved this video Cass. Thanks for taking us along again. What a beautiful place! I'm genuinely interested to know why dogs are only allowed on paved walks.
I saw a lot of people take their dogs wherever they wanted. There's not a lot of park rangers during the winter, so there's no one to enforce the rules. My dog liked playing in the snow.
@@mrmcckracken4363 I found this when doing a cursory search - 'Even the most docile dogs are predatory animals and are therefore a threat to protected wildlife. There were definitely more than I usually see in national parks but overall it wasn’t bad. Jasper is fear aggressive to other dogs and we did just fine.
We're going there and camping in the Valley in June with our Golden's (so lucky). I'm so glad I watched this and am excited abot all the areas we can walk with our furkids in the valley. Very timely. Thanks..
Beautiful!🥰 My daughter my bff n I went to Yosemite NP a few years back, but we mostly drove thru part of it bcuz it was in the summer n it was so packed with heavy bumper to bumper traffic everywhere. Seems like U chose a good time to go there with less people.
Wow, so beautiful there. And it's so great that you could take Jasper with you. I love taking my dog with me on my trips. Just wish she could handle long walks like that. She's old and has a joint issue so she'd be walking on 3 legs or limping before long. Glad you guys had such fun.
Thank you for showing the current conditions in the Yosemite Valley. I'm looking to go there before May 20 th when reservations are needed. I'm old now but when I was a kid, they used to light Glacier Point on fire at night. It was a real firefall. Summer time in the Valley is hot. Its cooler and beautiful in Yosemites high country. Hope you check it out. .
Splendergorgeousteriffic!!!! If only you could've done a 24 hr video. Hufff....Huffy, loved this video and Jasper....he was fabulous. My favorite NP is Zion, but may have to take a trip to Yosemite. Thank you for sharing and Jasper deserves a ton of love...and treats, of course🙃
I wanted to go to Yosemite but changed my mind after reading the pet policy I was bummed out but I found your video and now I am booking a trip thanks for the information I am very happy you made this video ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Compared to how crowded Yosemite is in the summer time, you guys practically did have that place all to yourselves. I have a hard time keeping my eyes on the road while driving through places like that. Thanks for doing all the driving; and video taping.
@@TailsofWanderlust I wouldn't go anywhere near that place in the summer unless I was going to do a week long hiking/ back packing trip in the back country. Last couple years they were limiting the amount of automobiles that were allowed in. Partially due to covid.

Thanks for this content! We’re going to Yosemite in the fall and was thinking it may be a wasted trip because national parks are usually not pet friendly. Good thing Yosemite is different.
I loved that video. And I love that Yosemite has places for dogs. I’m definitely going to check out that waggle monitor as I have been looking for something like that.
Where is the best place to park? Getting to the valley early...to get the longest walk for the pup over to lower yosemite falls? Or just park where you can and walk around?
Hi Cass, new subscriber here. Thanks so much for including dog friendly trail info!
