    I thought I had watched this. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you again for doing this for me. We enjoyed it and I don't know if I posted the pictures but I will now that I have watched this. The kids enjoyed meeting you and loved the trailer. The spread 3/4 of that mulch before I got off work that day.

      Always here to help man! You raised those kids right, hard workers and respectful. If you never need my dump trailer for larger property cleanups or have a home owner that needs things hauled off their property I now offer a dumpster rental service. Let me know if there's anyway I can be of service. Thanks for tuning in to the channel bud. Never hesitate to reach out.

      @@mithgo_outdoor Thank you sir. I told the kids about the video and showed my wife. I told them I was going to see if there was a Monday or Friday in July before school starts up that I could come and hang with you. If you needed help with a yard or something I could come along just to see how you do things and learn from you. I may teach students but I also like to learn. Thanks again for this.

    Sub contracting is very wise, in my opinion. Years ago I started with subbing out irrigation. I just got tired of messing with it. Then I subbed tree work. 6 years ago I began subbing out entire jobs. For the past 3 years I’ve subbed almost every job. I was getting tired of employees and subbing seemed like a great solution. Now I do the designs and consulting along with checking on the job a few times, occasionally going to get plants and material and collect money. Production more than tripled (from one design a month to 3 or 4) and my time was cut by roughly 75% so I started the house washing business and cross sell.
    You definitely know your hauling some weight with 11 yards! The trailer can get squirrelly quick. That’s beautiful property y’all have!

    It’s a shame you couldn’t weld some new supports further out on the shop, then remove the old ones. Sounds easier than what it probably is tho. Anyway the home is looking stunning 👍

      Unfortunately once I had realized the issue with the lean-to the concrete piers and anchor bolts had already been set in place. It would've cost thousands to start over...I'll make do. Thanks for the support Andy!

    The materials supplier delivers a load pretty cheap. How much can you charge your "buddy" to pick up his mulch and deliver it ? To go hook up the dump trailer, get the mulch, and dump 1/2on the tarp and 1/2 on the concrete...seems like you'll kill 1/2 a day.

      $65 for 1 hr ... there's more to it than trying to have a large profit margin also. I enjoy helping out friends in the industry. Things always come full circle.

    • @mithgo_outdoor

      @bikephil if ya saw $50 laying on the ground you'd pick it up ... totally worth it

    • @ronjclm8590
      @ronjclm8590 3 года назад

      I've done plenty for people that I know in this business. I'd rather do it at my own expense, then have them think that they paid me by handing me $65.00. They'd owe me a 1/2 days worth of favor...and over the last 40+ years. I've helped several people with some pretty big favors. And I've only had one really good friend, have an opportunity to do something that I needed help with.
      Also...it surely took longer than an hour.

    Man I wish it worked like that where I live. I've tried many times trying to work out deals with other guys who have some equipment I don't have and no-one seems to give a hoot about making a couple extra bucks unless its their job. I'm on Long Island in New York so maybe people are just too selfish and proud here I don't know haha

    • @mithgo_outdoor
      @mithgo_outdoor  3 года назад +1

      that is unfortunate...sounds like it's a regional/territorial thing you're dealing with. Most people I talk with mention that they network in some shape or form with contractors around them.

    • @ronjclm8590
      @ronjclm8590 3 года назад

      I think that most self employed people value their time too much to even discuss running that errand for anywhere near the price that the mulch dealer charged. Unless I had pockets full of money, the day off, and wanted an excuse to not do something on my household "to do" list
