Unfortunately. Gray hair ages you twenty years. Find a training beauty school and have it done for Pennie’s. I’m 63 and people think I’m ten to twenty years younger… but I don’t have gray hair.. just like to be blonde!!!

Great video! I quit going to the hairdresser five years ago. I cut my hair myself. I save money and never get disappointed 😀 I quit wearing heels. I feel so comfortable 👍 I quit worrying for the future. I really enjoy the presence of ”now”. I quit buying clothes made of polyester. I love my cotton, linnen and silk. My body can breath and they last so much longer. ❤️
I personally make a list of things I need and/or want before I get the money to purchase it. I've been doing that for years and it trained me to just buy what's on my list and when it's not on the list I don't even think about it. It definitely makes life simpler 😊
I fell naturally into this to from online shopping it sit in my cart then I'd just delete it cuz I decided we'll I don't actually need it like i thought Or I found it used ect ect..
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 2 months ago about self development. Now I have 196 subs and almost 82 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.
I am 58 years old, and I just learned many of these things embracing minimalism 6 years ago. I was raised in a different time, and time changes things. Technology has replaced many items we had to buy for use, but so many people walk around as mental hoarders because of information overload. Something I too have to keep ‘in check’. You have done well. Had I embraced simplification of my life many years ago, I can hardly imagine what my life might look like today. Be Simple, Live Simple ❤
For me, part of intentional living isn’t just letting things go but adding things like gardening that might not be simple but bring me joy. I’m just careful to not add too much - when there’s too much “noise” and superficial stuff, It dilutes the things that bring the most love, joy and value. Great video and would absolutely LOVE an example of a simplified/minimal iPhone! Thank you for valuable, authentic content!❤️
This the one of the best videos I've listened to in a long time. Very empowering and encouraging! I want to take many of the tips to heart and start putting them into practice. Thank you so much dear Margaret! May you be richly blessed in return for blessing others!
I can really relate to the idea of expecting too much from oneself and others... and then getting overwhelmed and getting done nothing at all . Trying to quit the "all or nothing" mentality and keep expectations realistic. Thanks for the video, first one to inspire me in a while x
I would love to hear your purpose, as I really admire you 🤍 you are such a gentle, kind, loving woman of God! I so value you’re channel and the example you are! Seriously, thank you for being you! 💓
These words are so incredibly kind and uplifting. Thanks for saying that. So happy to share my purpose, but please know...it's not meant to be a "holier than thou" response. I'm broken, I fail every single day but my purpose is what helps me reprioritize, get back up and refocus on the big picture. My purpose: to serve the Lord and glorify Him with my life - the way I treat others, love my husband, care for myself, work, fail, forgive, care for my home, etc. I came to this after simplifying and writing in my gratitude journal for several months(that may not be your route, but it definitely was mine). I started to realize that all I have and all that I am has nothing to do with me. It's all been given to me by the Lord. And every time I went through seasons of anger, feeling lost, and discontent, it was because I was focusing on being my own hero....life was all about me and how I could save myself (buying happiness, depending on others' perception of me, overworking to prove myself, etc). So it became pretty clear where I needed to shift. Again, I fail daily but every time I repeat "Serve the Lord and worship Him with _____(responding to my children, cleaning a messy home, being patient, completing mundane tasks, etc), it feels as if things immediately fall back into place.
This video was quite resonating. Lately I had this realization that I have more stuff than I require and use, especially clothes and footwear (thank god I’m not into makeup and accessories). In order to refrain myself from not buying more than required, this thought came into my mind that I will not buy anything if I’m not gonna use it multiple times, and I have limited time and money and will not spend on materials which are going to make me miserable when I’ll see them in my wardrobe. Surprisingly, I have also stopped wasting food when I realized that I can take second helping if required. Planning groceries is so important and my mum needs to understand this because usually either she buys something that’s not needed or forgets to buy what’s needed. I have told her multiple times but no use. Also, keeping things back in the place helps a lot. You don’t need to take out special time to keep the space clean if everything’s at their own assigned place, saves a lot of time. Overconsumption of information is really stressing sometimes, and I’m cutting down my RUclips because of this (and I don’t use any other platforms of social media, good for me!). Thank you for making this video❤
Your Channel makes me feel like I can breathe again. I am working on slowing down and simplifying my life and your channel is such a fresh breath of air
Girl there is a huge difference between acknowledging we need to quit some bad habits and actually doing it. I do think I overconsume information, I gossip to fill in gaps etc but something deep down in me is not able to let these things go. You did a lot
I feel you! It took me a while to actually break the habits, but when it happened it just felt so natural. No part of my mind and body enjoyed speaking with negativity. I can catch myself very quickly just by sensing how I'm feeling...like my mood shifts instantly! And I'm like NOPE, not going there.
I twisted my hair and now have dreadlocs! 💆🏾♀️👸🏾❤ Life is so much easier not paying for expensive braids or other weave hairstyles, etc. This was truly a game changer and my hair has grown so much (waist length). Oh, my pockets are even fuller 😅
Margaret… you make my heart feel so calm and comfortable. It seems everything I currently struggle with or feel insecure about, you have wise words for it. Thank you.
This was such a great video and great wisdom! The whole phone in the morning thing- I agree 100 on that! My days are SO much better without starting with opening my phone. Also just staying off the phone for most of the day!
Agree with buying produce that are in season. Learned that one from my son who would never eat strawberries during winter. Said it tastes like nothing. He was right!
I really appreciate this list! Some of the points that stand out for me are walking slower (personally, I like to take pics of little things along the way, that really helps with slowing down), not stressing about other people's opinion about us, not stressing about healthy food too much/ allowing ourselves treats as well... I think I have to go through the video again, there are so many good suggestions! I like that you are truly choosing for yourself what matters to you and don't let others/ social media trends etc. dictate your goals or pace of life. Great example for us all! ❤
😂😂😂 the jumbo pens....I struggled with many on your list and I was so deeply engaged in this video and the jumbo pens just broke me in laughter and I didnt even realized I had been holding my breath listening to your list....Thanks for bringing fun and relaxation to this community 💜
I took notes! They all make complete sense but until you REALLY look at the points, you cant see the impact it has everyday. Thank you. Great video. You look like you’re blooming now. ❤
Now I gotta ask… what was your purpose? And also, how did you go about finding it? I’m Catholic so for me I understand that I have an inherent purpose, but a lot of the time I struggle to find a more personal purpose to give me that drive to spend my time and energy wisely and to be moving towards my goal. What’s your secret??

I stumbled upon this video and watched it out of curiosity. Let me just say how pleasantly surprised I am with your amazing tips! I needed to hear this today! Your insight is inspirational! Thank you 🙏
Ahhh...a clean car is my favorite!! It is like a mama treat!😂 I would love your prayers as I feel like I am struggling a bit...mostly self-talk. I homeschool (which puts on a HUGE layer of expectations, burdens, etc), but I have one right now who has been strugglimg for years with dyslexia. He had gotten so much better with his reading, but is still behind and it weighs on me.😫 Thank you for praying!!!💛💛💛
Yes I have been WAITING for your kids toys video!! I would love to know what a minimal toy collection looks like, and what activities to replace toy time with :D
Another tip for less stress with kids Know your stuff will get messed up and broken, buy furniture that is more sturdy than beautiful. We got giving an ugly but sturdy farm table we striped it and let the kids splatter paint it and hand print it with neon colors over a black painted top then we put a gloss finishing coat on it and it looks amazing and unique. And couches and chairs we get used we always throw blankets over them easier to clean and hide stains.
I love these so much! I have done quite of few of these too and I agree, it is wonderful but I think I’ll write down the rest you said to remind myself to do those too! I think the one I try at but is hardest for me is not expecting perfection from children! It’s so ridiculous to do but so hard not to!
Hey Margaret! Amen to all what you have said! It is refreshing and lovely to hear! I would love to hear what your purpose is! I think you are a lovely woman of God and hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day!
Hey Alicia, yes, I'd be so happy to share my purpose, but please know...it's not meant to be a "holier than thou" response. Margaret! I light up when I see a notification from you on my phone. You have spoken life into mine in a way that few can. You have helped me see that there is another way. Thank you for being here
I m definitely growing weary of information overload and peoples opinions on social media and RUclips. Also, growing weary from bad and sad news and keeping up with all the birthdays and holidays online...just think your real life friends are probably not that many..like people you talk to on a consistent basis or see but on Facebook we may have 600 people or some 1000! And we end up knowing so much about people that we may know as aquitances that if social media didn't exsist..we wouldn't know anything about them. I just find myself feeling bogged down even when its time to pray..so many people to pray for. Thank you margaret for being a voice of reason and inspiration
I love listening to you and watching your videos. You bless me, and encourage me so much. Thank you! I pray the Lord allows you to keep serving Him and ministering to us this way for a long time! 🙏🏼🧡
I love love love Perfect Supplements. I've used their collagen powder for over 3 years, and I noticed within just weeks that my skin looked better and hair grew faster and looked healthier. Great points on all you mentioned!
You’re 3 years younger than me and you inspire me soooooo much 🥰 I love your videos, you’re so REAL and I struggle to understand how anyone could not adore you ❤
Totally feel like we could be best friends! Lol. Agree with every. Single. Thing! Can hear the PEACE in your voice, too. So cool. Like a sigh of RELIEF with every point you made. Hallelujah! 🙌😄
Hi ❣️ I've been watching Madis channel for 2 weeks and a podcast led me your way. I'm also enjoying your minimalist videos etc. Just decluttered/rearranged half my kitchen after your video, all my knifes are gone finally. Couldn't let go of some things yet and trying to do small changes into non toxic. First to make sure I don't overwhelm myself and second that it's not a mood and it's a lifestyle I want to become lol. I'm struggling bad with comparing and overwhelming though and making sure I don't buy every item you guys have to cook and clean etc all right now. Only got needs at target today. And took pictures of wants lmao. Thank you guys for your videos
This was so interesting, thank you! I would say I use my phone so much for organising myself. Before I had notebooks, list's, bits of paper everywhere. Now I use an app called colornote. And everything is on there. Recipes, shopping lists, holiday packing lists, daily to do lists. And I'm so much more organised and forget things less. 😚
Yes, keeping the purse contents simple is great! People in the macrobiotic world say if you want to check a woman’s digestion and intestinal health just look in her purse!
I needed this, so I thank you. I subscribed, so I'm looking forward to watching. 💜 I'm thankful that you are learning this early in life. I'm 51, and I'm new to learning, but I hope it sticks. We didn't have this way of thinking (or I didn't) or taught back in the day ( the eighties ) Lol I Appreciate, and I'm thankful I found your channel.🤓
I feel like a lot of these came to me when I got to my 30s and had multiple children. You realize that you only have so much energy reserve and it needs protecting.
A few I have quit 💓 social media 💓 using artificial light (90% of the time I use natural sunlight or just get around in a just darker space if it’s cloudy out) 💓 sunscreen (I use it for prolonged sun outings but I try to get 30 mins of direct sun a day and wear protective clothing otherwise) 💓 information overload 💓 a stacked daily to do list 💓 plain water - I almost always add in either fresh lemon juice and sea salt, or just a little sea salt, or like a splash of 100% cranberry juice with sea salt, I want to give my body minerals!
I couldn’t find the question in the comment section, so I would like to ask what is Your purpose in life Margaret❤️🌸 maybe make a video for us to find more inspiration for our purposes in life? That would be very nice🌼
It always amazing to me that people feel it is okay to criticize other people. They don't even know you! Guess they never heard the saying "if you don't have anything good ro say, just say nothing! Your videos are great
I saw your video about wearing dresses for 30 days & I was intrigued to see what else you have provided!! I watched 4 more videos & I figured why I'm intrigued in your content.... you speak the same "simple life language" as Natalie Bennett ❤ Now I'm subscribed of course ❤❤ welcome to my feed 😂🎉❤❤
This video popped up in my suggested videos and I am so thankful it did. It’s so refreshing to hear you talk about not expecting consistency from yourself. So many women online push this idea that the best moms/women are consistently getting up at 4 or 5 am, having the same routine every single morning/night, etc. and I always failed at staying consistent here and there. If I’d have a low energy morning I’d beat myself up about it terribly. Thank you for sharing your experience with this!!
Hi Mamas, I absolutely love Margaret’s channel and know there’s a lot of mama love here and health pursuing mamas. I could use your prayers as I’m 39 with four little ones all under nine and was just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and Hashimoto’s. I’ve been eating pro metabolic and clean for years. It’s super discouraging, but I’m believing that I can be an overcomer. If any young mamas like me, have any tips, I would appreciate it and your prayers. I’ve been eating autoimmune Paleo since finding out and trying to figure out how to put symptoms in remission without medicine. Thank you, Mamas. 🩷🩷🩷🙏
Looking forward to your simplifying toy video I’ll be looking out for that one definitely. It’s an area in my home I really struggle with and I only have one child… he’s bored all the time and I believe overwhelmed even though we practice toy rotation 😫
I think it’s hard for a lot of people to know their purpose if they don’t know God. Before I got saved my life was a train wreck and I had NO idea what my purpose was, no direction, no drive..I was a mess. God got me out of that and slowly showed me what my purpose was and my life completely changed for the better.
Thank you Margaret for this video ❤ much appreciated! PS number 20, 25 and 40 bcs of declutter, but I think also bcs of growing in faith with God 🙏🏻💗not only with people (I’m still struggling with this, so Thank you for shearing and reminding what’s or should say who is most important). 💕🙏🏻
Girl you had so many of the things that I have been quitting in the last few years. What a wealth of information. The only thing that did not resonate with me is using supplements. I feel that if you eat fresh and don’t eat all the food that is loaded with crap there is not a need for them. But like my mom always said I will tell you what I think and you are going to do what you think anyway. Great ideas all the way and I hope you get many views on this, it is sooooo helpful.
I think it’s always good to get lab work done, we may be missing something and not know it. Sometimes I don’t always eat enough and vitamins are super important when pregnant.
I hope your financial situation gets better soon. It is very difficult to be young and starting out in this economy. Thrift stores are a good place to get the things you need or may want. God bless you, your family and home.
I'm astounded by this. I found content with a similar theme, and it was absolutely incredible. "The Joy of Less: A Minimalist Living Guide" by Matthew Cove
Would love to know where you purchased your couch from- we’ve been looking for months and it’s a nightmare to find something high quality, with performance materials for pets/family!
I quit hair dye! I decided it was time to stop wasting money and embrace my silver hair at age 58. What freedom!!
I stopped painting my nails… I still do my toenails though
Unfortunately. Gray hair ages you twenty years. Find a training beauty school and have it done for Pennie’s. I’m 63 and people think I’m ten to twenty years younger… but I don’t have gray hair.. just like to be blonde!!!

Thanks for asking! And thanks for the mothers day wishes!
Wow some of the points kind of opened my eyes. I always knew something is not right and I got the confirmation here!!
Hallelujah! 🙌😄
Sweetest words!! Thanks so much for sharing this
Hi ❣️ I've been watching Madis channel for 2 weeks and a podcast led me your way.
I would love to see a video on you making a minimal iPhone! I have been researching how to do this more.
🙏🙏👆 Let talk on telegram........❤🎉
This was so interesting, thank you! I would say I use my phone so much for organising myself. Before I had notebooks, list's, bits of paper everywhere. Now I use an app called colornote. And everything is on there. Recipes, shopping lists, holiday packing lists, daily to do lists. And I'm so much more organised and forget things less. 😚
Girl I love this video so much! Your so real and raw, it’s amazing, and I appreciate it. New Subscriber!
Very indightful! Embracing it is more freeing and peaceful! ❤
You are so very honest, it's refreshing
Yes, keeping the purse contents simple is great! People in the macrobiotic world say if you want to check a woman’s digestion and intestinal health just look in her purse!
haha! I've never heard that! That's great.
A dear friend who is a fantastic chef learned this from her teacher, Michio Kushi!
I needed this, so I thank you. I subscribed, so I'm looking forward to watching. 💜
I'm thankful that you are learning this early in life.
I'm 51, and I'm new to learning, but I hope it sticks.
We didn't have this way of thinking (or I didn't) or taught back in the day ( the eighties ) Lol
I Appreciate, and I'm thankful I found your channel.🤓
This is my first video I have found from you, I really enjoyed it. Thank you :)
Just amazing list!! Thank u
U r beautiful and insightful and inspiring!
Great video!!! Thank you so much for sharing! You inspired me 🩷 God bless you, Sis! 🌸
I feel like a lot of these came to me when I got to my 30s and had multiple children. You realize that you only have so much energy reserve and it needs protecting.
Love your video ! Thank you for sharing. I have clean my makeup clear cube and I keep only Westman atelier makeup , very clean and vegan 🌱🤍
A few I have quit
💓 social media
💓 using artificial light (90% of the time I use natural sunlight or just get around in a just darker space if it’s cloudy out)
💓 sunscreen (I use it for prolonged sun outings but I try to get 30 mins of direct sun a day and wear protective clothing otherwise)
💓 information overload
💓 a stacked daily to do list
💓 plain water - I almost always add in either fresh lemon juice and sea salt, or just a little sea salt, or like a splash of 100% cranberry juice with sea salt, I want to give my body minerals!
So good, love these! Way to go!
Interesting - the PJ and bedroom theme.
I need to quit expecting consistency. The only thing I'm consistent at is being inconsistent.
You look so clean ,simple,elegant,calm😊
I couldn’t find the question in the comment section, so I would like to ask what is Your purpose in life Margaret❤️🌸 maybe make a video for us to find more inspiration for our purposes in life? That would be very nice🌼
It always amazing to me that people feel it is okay to criticize other people. They don't even know you! Guess they never heard the saying "if you don't have anything good ro say, just say nothing!
Your videos are great
Aahhhh that “sooo badly” 2:10 😂❤️
Beautiful video you look so at peaceful! So glad get go on this journey with you. I just need do better with nutrition.
This post was of great value. I’m sure many of us needed to hear this.
I don’t know why ppl are so mean to others ! I will never understand ! ❤I love your channel !
I'd love it if you included referring to your purpose and faith like you did in your first videos more I think. ❤😊 really helpful videos xx
I’ve watched quite a few of these type of videos and your list had quite a few really specific & very original ideas!! 👏🏼 ❤ thank you
This video popped up in my suggested videos and I am so thankful it did.
Thank you. I applaud you and have listened to learn.
Thank you so much..I'm happy for you...I'm sharing this with fb friends...
Thanks for sharing 🤍🤍🤍
Love all your videos, Margaret!
Thank you for showing us some of your meals 🍽️. ❤
Your hair is looking so beautiful, Margaret!
Lovely video, thanks for sharing the experiences. Btw, anybody knowing the name of the song at 15:14 ?
Oh, yeah, it's G Voz - Sunlight! :)
so much wisdom in one video. Love it 🌻🌞
I loved this video, and I must ask, What is your color palette? I would love to get some direction with that. Thank you:)
You go girl I felt like you and I am where your at!! Now! Loving life!! ❤❤
Looking forward to your simplifying toy video I’ll be looking out for that one definitely. It’s an area in my home I really struggle with and I only have one child… he’s bored all the time and I believe overwhelmed even though we practice toy rotation 😫
Loved this video ❤can you please film a what’s on your minimal iPhone video?!
I think it’s hard for a lot of people to know their purpose if they don’t know God. Before I got saved my life was a train wreck and I had NO idea what my purpose was, no direction, no drive..I was a mess. God got me out of that and slowly showed me what my purpose was and my life completely changed for the better.
Yes to this Kate! your story sounds so similar to mine
Hi Margaret! I just found found your videos and am loving all of the content. Could you tell me what brand your couch is? Thanks in advance!
Hey! Sorry for the delay, my couch is from Albany Park! www.talkable.com/x/bckrEm
Ooof this was SO good 🎉 thank you ❤
This was such a great content . Thank you
Thank you Margaret for this video ❤ much appreciated!
PS number 20, 25 and 40 bcs of declutter, but I think also bcs of growing in faith with God 🙏🏻💗not only with people (I’m still struggling with this, so Thank you for shearing and reminding what’s or should say who is most important). 💕🙏🏻
Where did you find nontoxic furniture?
Thank you for another great video! So precious advice! Are you going to make a "what's in my minimal diaper bag" video ?
Fabulous list! Some I have stopped doing, others I really need to….❤
Girl you had so many of the things that I have been quitting in the last few years.
Right again, during pregnancy a must. Praying the best for you and your baby.
Subscribed 🎉 I love finding a new channel, I'm so excited for your content!
I LOVE this ! Thank you !
Thank you so much for your videos! You are making me a better person, may God bless you and your lovely family
Ditto thanks 😊
Love your list! May I ask what brand of couch you have?
🙏🙏👆 Let talk on telegram........❤🎉
Would love to know where you purchased your couch from- we’ve been looking for months and it’s a nightmare to find something high quality, with performance materials for pets/family!
We got ours from Albany Park! www.talkable.com/x/bckrEm It's amazing and has help up fantastically over the past 2 years.
