Excellent video 👍 I have a few tips, based on my mistakes, or other people observations: 1. Close the doors, but don't lock them. Alarm will go off when you disconnect the battery 2. Use WD40 on bolts and let it work for a while 3. Use a good socket set 4. Don't leave new battery in the boot. You can't open it when the old one's disconnected 5. You don't need to wait 15 minutes. On Peugeot forums people say 3 is enough. I waited about 5. 6. Once reconnected, if car turns over but won't start, it is because the immobiliser has kicked in, shut bonnet and lock car, wait 5 mins then unlock and try again. And that's about it. I know some points are daft, but we all make silly mistakes 😉
@@AdrianDragan No problem. Thanks to your video, replacing the battery was super easy. There's no need to pay someone for doing this, if you can do it yourself.
Ótimo vídeo! Nunca tinha tido um automóvel em que fosse tão complexo o procedimento de trocar a bateria... Graças ao seu vídeo, consegui trocar a bateria, num domingo à noite, sem necessitar de chamar um mecânico. Obrigada!
Thanks Adrian, it helped me a lot. To put the new battery in place I used a screwdriver to secure the battery management box in a position where it bothers less.
Works for 2016 Traveller (Expert K0 minibus) also. Instead of the electrical module, there is air filter, which comes off just by pulling up. Everything else is just the same.
Wait until you need to access the fuse box inside the cabin. 🤣 The engineers/designers of this car should be outcast to a (habitable, I'm not completely cruel) planet outside this solar system.
hello i also own a peugeot 308 sw. I want to remove the headlining and have to remove the A, B and C pillar interior trim. However, it says AirBag on it. What do I have to consider apart from disconnecting the battery? where are the airbags located exactly? can you make a video about it? where is the airbag control unit? Which plug do you have to disconnect first? Thanks alot! love your channel 😊
Hello. As far as I know, the airbags do not have fastening systems on the pillar lining or on the roof lining, so it is only necessary to disconnect the battery and wait 15 minutes before starting work. I will probably make a video on how to remove the lining from the ceiling, but in the warm season, then I plan to put soundproofing on the ceiling.
Your videos are funtastic. 👍 One question. I have a Peugeot 308 1.6 bhdi 120 and I replaced the battery because it was nearing the end of its working life, at about 30%. I put in a new battery, but the start stop system still doesn't work. On the control panel, eco still flashes for a few seconds and turns off. It would be great if you had some advice on what to look at and check. Kind regards
Hi. The start stop system works if several conditions are met: it is not very cold outside (temperatures above zero degrees), you do not have large consumers such as heated seats or rear window defogger on. There are other conditions that can prevent the start stop system from working, I think you should wait a few more days and see if it will start working.
@@AdrianDragan Yeah I have heated seats, but I dont use that feature at all. This morning start stop worked. Soo thats a problem now, because now you have to turn it off every time you sit in the car 🤣. Thank you for your quick response. Best regards
@@ivanbarac7740 you can install a switch to the system that detects if the seat bell is off/on. Than when you stop and don't want to enable the start stop you just hit that switch. The car thinks your seat bell is off and start stop will not be started this was the workaround I found because going into the monitor screen every time I start the car is awful. Then there are situations when you do want to enable it and you have to go to the damned screen again.
Hi Adrian, great video! I have the same model Peugeot and I was wondering if it's possible to use the 'special' negative / black pole that's screwed onto the body to jumpstart another car? (using the Peugeot as the donor). I know that reverse is possible (if the Peugeot needed to be jumpstarted), but not sure They've made accessing the negative pole on the battery itself needlessly difficult. Thank you for your help!

Hello from Greece. A question please. After changing the battery by the way you showed us the start stop system still doesnt work. The new battery is 63% precharged. After a small trip riched 70% and still start stop off. Should i charged it or test it first?
Hello. A full charge won't hurt it. However, the Starr / Stop system can also be deactivated for other reasons: low charging voltage (check the charging voltage with the engine running), high consumers (heated seats), FAP regeneration if it's an HDI engine, etc. You can try to disconnect the battery terminal and leave it unplugged for 15 minutes, then see after connecting if the Start / Stop system will work.
