Thanks so much for watching! If you'd like to purchase the library at 20% off (and support the channel in a small way), you can do so here: virharmonic.com/CHRISTOPHERSIUMUSIC
I've had my eyes on Virharmonic Bohemian solo instruments for quite some time now. Both the cello and violin seem to have exceptional playability and tone which will fit into my orchestral template without a doubt. Having access to such an expressive and almost true to life solo cello in my compositions would be awesome.
I really love the rebowing function, if im understanding correctly, there is no infinite looping of the samples and you either get a natural rebow or a natural decay, i really like this and i find myself liking more libraries lately that are less flexible but have certain elements of realism baked in. I would love to play around with this.
Lovely library! Would absolutely love to have this for use in my current project (mod project called ABW for Fallout 4)- lots of opportunity for standout solo cello parts, but don’t have a solo cello library.
THIS is the cello sound I am looking for. Expressive, rich, playable, and believable. I have a few other libraries, but none sit well as a front player. This might just be the one to get that done. Thank you for your hard work and exhaustive reviews of these products. They narrow down a wide and watered down field of options!
Wow, nice! Another one :D I love the Cello so much, definitely of my favorite sounds besides the piano - especially as a solo instrument the cello is so, so wonderful. Virharmonics does a remarkable job with these solo-VSTis!
These are my favourite string libraries. So much realism with so little effort. I hope I win a copy so that I can give it to a composer friend that’s been drooling over mine.
My most important use for this instrument is two fold. It would be an important creativity starter and it would help maintain my style of composing and orchestrating.
I’ve been looking at this library for over a year and just having been able to pull the trigger yet. As an amateur/hobbyist composer this library will take my music to a whole new level
Great walkthrough and demo! I've got a 6 min short film that has a brief sad/melancholy scene that's begging for some expressive solo cello. The bohemian cello would definitely be a great fit.
Great video! I've been waiting for someone to actually go deep into the Virharmonic Bohemian Cello (which I couldn't find an in-depth online) so thanks, Chris! I have an alternative/adult contemporary single that I am planning to release in the next months and it has a solo cello section! So this would be an AWESOME addition!
This cello has a very realistic tone and feels remarkably human. I would love to use it for emotional melodies, it's particularly suited to a romantic style.
Thank you for this video, Chris! I have the violin and love it! Would love to get the cello. Sounds fantastic! So much character and emotion! I have a hard time creating and programming switch layers in libraries and getting them to sound realistic. It's so nice to have a library with a great performance right out of the box!
This library sounds very good. I am currently writing a score that is part of my bachelor's thesis. It has a lot of solo cello lines in it, but I am not really happy with the playability of my own library. This cello sounds a lot more suiting. I would love to try it out someday
Thanks for the review Christopher! Quite impressive and lively library. Would definitely upgrade pieces I've already wrote where I used my Spitfire solo cello 😉
It sounds really flexible. It has such a large range and it's so expressive. I would definitely use this library to layer with ensemble strings as well as solo emotive passages
i would love to use a instrument like this, I been using the labs cello moods for a while now which i love but it would great to have these awesome articulations , the cello sounds great , I really been enjoying making a lot of piano and cello pieces lately so this would definitely fit the bill , as always great video ,keep up the good work
Got it and love the quality of the sound, but I can’t find a control to change the dynamic and vibrato to get also quiet airy string sounds. The modulation wheel has no effect. where are the controls for these? Got anyone a solution?
@@ehlohimwhil5762 Well, I spent on it... And honestly, it IS good if you put a good post processing chain on it. It's not the best out-of-the-box sound in the world, but a little bit of tweaking, and the amount of textures you can build is amazing...
How does the playbility feel as in timing of hitting the key? Also very curious on emotional cello if you have played that and playability and tone also? Thanks
Hi Chris! Thanks for this video, I’m a musician that is starting in this world of virtual lnstruments, And I’m hook for it! I would love to make music for videogames and just now trying to find opportunities for this. It would be amazing to have a cello soloist vst. I wish good luck to all your community :)
Hi, do you also know how to switch the articulations just for parts of the song? I must hold the force button while same time playing? And when i release it its gone. And if i lock a change its for the whole song. How to just change a piece of it? Do i have to record the changes while playing the song? Or i dont like how the Bohemian cello managed to play some parts of my piece. How i can change just this pieces?
Simply one of the most "fool me" cello sample library and also it seems super easy to play and program (yes, i changed the comment a bit since i do think the B.violin is better than the cello) What i would use it for?......every solo exposed cello part most likely...like every one of them. Also thanks for the video and thanks for the giveaway, and good luck everyone.
I just got my hands on Instant Cello, at 50% off right now. It's their light version of their Bohemian Cello. It's instantly playable and very affordable even for me on a budget. I'm not the guy spending 500K on sample libraries the first year. :P Anyway, I really recommend it to everyone who want the great Cello for a great price.
Like the violin before, the cello sounds ammazingly good !! So payable so u won't spend time After your shot figuring out how to sound the more realistic as possible.
The Stradavari Cello from Native Instruments blows this out of the water. This would work well as a legato "over" a string sections to unite them and add that bowed texture. But, as a solo instrument, no. As usual the shorts are terrific, they are always the easiest articulation to get right, but I would only use it as a solo instrument for sketching, it is not something I could put out to the public as a "cello" solo instrument.
Spitfire should really take notes You can sense the snobbery they have regardless of their “humble” tone Until they can get their legato/scripting up to par, they just miss the mark
Thanks so much for watching! If you'd like to purchase the library at 20% off (and support the channel in a small way), you can do so here: virharmonic.com/CHRISTOPHERSIUMUSIC
The sheer number of articulations including ricochet is astonishing!

Love how tight but also expressive it is!
I love writing for cello and this would be a great library to write really expressive solo cello lines.
So fantastic Cello!Romantic and expressive!!!!I would use this for my orchestral music mockups!
The amount of emotion you can get from this library is impressive! Definitely useful for those heart-rending solo cello lines!
wow that sound is just, so expressive, I would personally love to use this to score for video game or film scenes
Wow for sure I would love to use that cello for emotional part
the best vst Cello I ever heard
This cello sounds amazing@ It has so much potential for the type of music that I write!

Very expressive sounding cello. Really good for anything emotional or dark. Would like to use it in my songs.

Love the sound, the variety of articulations. I would happily use this for solo melodic lines in a variety of genres.

I'd love to use that legato for slow passages
Really needing some string solo haha
Wonderful product! Thanks for reviewing Chris.

My most important use for this instrument is two fold. It would be an important creativity starter and it would help maintain my style of composing and orchestrating.
I will definitelly use this lib to prepare emotional orchestration! - I have already something on mind after seeing your walkthrough 🙂
This is a gorgeous cello. I could definitely see it being used for those slow melodic lines in a film score. The vibrato is incredible.
Beautifully crafted sound. I would use this for cello solos.
Amazing sounding cello. Very expressive. Really good for anything emotional or melodic.
Beautiful sound. I could see this being used in my media.
This is amazing! I'll be using it for composing video game music (primarily)! :D
Awesome library. :D
I wish there was more than one mic position, but even still, this is seriously the greatest solo string series going on at the moment imo.
This library is crazy good . I would definitely use for mood/expression
Great video! I've been waiting for someone to actually go deep into the Virharmonic Bohemian Cello (which I couldn't find an in-depth online) so thanks, Chris! Finally a solo cello library that sounds so full! I will use this library for dark emotional solo lines!
Beautiful emotional cello. So useful to have, because it's something fresh in the market, where usually only 2 library are used for solo cello...!
Wow. Amazing sound. I’d definitely see myself using this in emotional lyrical passages.
This cello has a very realistic tone and feels remarkably human. I would love to use it for emotional melodies, it's particularly suited to a romantic style.
This cello has such a nice tone. Would love to feature it in some small ensemble works.
Awesome Cello!
Thank you for this video, Chris! I have the violin and love it! Would love to get the cello. Sounds fantastic! So much character and emotion! I have a hard time creating and programming switch layers in libraries and getting them to sound realistic. It's so nice to have a library with a great performance right out of the box!
so beautiful !!!!
Thanks! I’d use this for my exploration into film scoring!
Seems to be a light easy-to-use interface and sounds great!
It sounds really flexible. It has such a large range and it's so expressive. I would definitely use this library to layer with ensemble strings as well as solo emotive passages
Veri naisss. Different cello for different purposes. Happy cello-ing!!!
this is great! i would definitely use this in a larger-than-life symphonic metal track. very fun and emotional plug-in!
Hi Chris! I use a solo cello quite often in my compositions. So this would definately be in use. A beautiful cello it is.
Like the violin, it would just be my go-to for solo passages, which are quite fun to write or improvise.
I think this is a gorgeous and versatile instrument which can really become my go-to cello solo! It seems easy and joyful to play and program! 👌
Nice, would love to use some cello sounds in my music
great library!
would sound great on a gypsy style movie I am working on !
I would use this library for emotional solos
I would use this for my classical music mockups. The expressiveness and emotion is pure gold and the sound is amazing
i would love to use a instrument like this, I been using the labs cello moods for a while now which i love but it would great to have these awesome articulations , the cello sounds great , I really been enjoying making a lot of piano and cello pieces lately so this would definitely fit the bill , as always great video ,keep up the good work

The cello sounds awesome, I'd use it to create soaring cello lines to add more beauty to my tracks :)
I would love to use this for emotional video game music!
This is going to be SO USEFUL for writing Cello Melodies. Afflatus takes a long time to load up and is a hassle to manage CPU in...
That library isn’t worth the money
Luckily I found a torrent on it a few years ago
@@ehlohimwhil5762 Well, I spent on it... And honestly, it IS good if you put a good post processing chain on it. It's not the best out-of-the-box sound in the world, but a little bit of tweaking, and the amount of textures you can build is amazing...
How are Classical and Sprightly distinctive from the other modes? More specifically, how is Classical different than Emotive?
I love the cello as a solo instrument, i would use it mostly for slow, emotional lines
How does the playbility feel as in timing of hitting the key? Also very curious on emotional cello if you have played that and playability and tone also? Thanks
i would use it for string arrangements in songs!

Trying for now the Exp1 v2 with Falcon and it's already mindblowing, without any of these functionalities... :)
Simply one of the most "fool me" cello sample library and also it seems super easy to play and program (yes, i changed the comment a bit since i do think the B.violin is better than the cello)

This sounds better than my actual cello playing. 😢 😂
This sounds maybe even better than violin!
A good Solo Expressive Cello, like the JB Violin from Embertone
This might sound even better than the Tina Guo Cello
Just saw the price tag on that thing. Nearly 400.00$ for a single solo instrument?! Sounds good, but Jesus….
Strange...I don't have nearly as many options in my version of the plugin
I just got my hands on Instant Cello, at 50% off right now. It's their light version of their Bohemian Cello. It's instantly playable and very affordable even for me on a budget. Lovely, congratulations! I’ll be doing a video on the viola soon (and maybe the Instant cello too).

I can see myself using this on some moody drama cues

Cool video. Count me in for the giveaway
ever notice EVERY cello library lacks the bass of a real cello?
