- We spent a week in L.A. checking out the street racing scene, here's the craziest, and most unpredictable race that we filmed.... Some serious power in the red pickup! Keep an eye on our channel for more from this trip, L.A. has got some badass cars that play on the street!

news flash 500 hp will do a burnout same as 3000 hp . Torque makes good burnouts not hp. the whole point of drag racing is to get from start to finish as quick as possible, wheel spin contradicts the goal . Look up ( Big Crashes, Big Scares on the Track-No Prep) This is what happens when you challenge the Oklahoma city street cars.

The C10 was my dad’s. He sold it when I was young, 11 years old
Or so and didn’t tell me so we could fund my Jr drag car, but that truck was suppose to be mine. I worked sanding it day and night, I remember my mom getting so mad that I would come in covered in red/orange dust. I live in Colorado and that’s where he sold it from. If it’s even being sold for a reasonable price please let me know. I remember hearing that motor run for the first time on the Dino and picking black wheels for the truck. Thank you for keeping it the same color I remember it being growing up. Funny story, my mom fried the clutch and transmission when I was little and that’s when my dad decided to start building it up.
Sorry rant over. Just reliving my childhood memories.

The silverado at the end was a huge tease now I want to see more of it.
It's hard to be impressed with the cars when all I can think about is how that truck was one uncontrollable factor away from shooting across the median and two lanes of traffic and killing an innocent family. At that speed it would take less than a second to cover the distance that separated that race and innocent bystanders. Shameful. It's not like tracks are rare, find one and use it. Don't risk lives. Not worth it.

That's like comparing a scooter too a sport bike? Of coarse the truck was going to outrun the Mustang. A fully all out drag car-truck racing a street car with half the C.I.'s, the truck is also on NOS. Hell a kinda fair race would have been the truck on motor, still advantage to the truck. I guess that's how those Chevy guy's have to beat the Fords, bring three times more than what the Fords have. What a lame race!

Plus the Mustang probably had to lay off for a good couple seconds when the C10 almost side swiped him right off the line. Handling your vehicle is just as much a part of winning as your HP.

Holy batman!! I own and drive 1963 Chevy pick up with 350 ci over 500 hp, 400 tranny and 9 inch rear end. Also sway bar connect to both tracking arms to keep my truck stay straight. WORKS very well! My truck is just a street drag. That was damn crazy.
