There are teaching jobs everywhere in the province, along with shortages in the medical professions and the trades. Bridgewater offers a better lifestyle over Truro and CB, with its milder weather, abundant shopping, proximity to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Chester, and the city, while being more affordable than those communities. The Valley is only an hour away with its wineries, fruit and vegetable, and historic and charming towns.
Nice, I really like Nova Scotia and have for a long time, whereas NB used to be lesser known. The seafood looks to be great in NS and the towns are so pretty.
One small correction to something you said, you can travel by train through most of Canada, I know you can through central and western provinces, and I think there are also ways to travel by train from Nova Scotia to other provinces
yes you can travel by train but this train but its not comparable to Europe where people can move freely and with ease just with train. Provincial trains here are designed mostly for cargo and not human transportation.
the Canadian train system is not user friendly for everyone and unfortunately very costly. While the European train system is affordable and accessible for all.
Hi, by any chance do you have any references for agents that can help me to find rentals in Nova Scotia around Halifax or bedford? I'm moving with my fam from Vancouver to NS, in early 2024. Thanks.
Thanks for your prompt response. I've just graduated my masters degree in Vancouver, and want to move to NS for PR through AIP. BC is so tough now to get a PR even through BC PNP 😅

*Provinces. Also judging a place by its tax rate gives you a very limited perspective of what it is actually like to live there. The average NS resident has considerably less total monthly expenses compared to the average US citizen who has to pay for private health care and a bloated military.
