What country should we do next?! Let me know!
Hey Roger! Long time, no see. Awesome to see you doing so well, and on RUclips! Crazy. Keep up the great work.
I'd love to hear your opinion on the plastic or rubber seals for toilets, as opposed to the wax ones. Here in the US, we still use wax, but in Australia and NZ, they use a plastic or rubber of some sort that is reusable, or at least not a total nightmare like that wax stuff. Maybe they don't like the mess, maybe the wax just melts in the Aussie heat, but I think it is definitely a better product than sticky wax!
Taras Kul is the crazy russian hacker
On top of that he lives in the US
I think you should try watching Bosnian plumbing.
Taras Kul (Crazy Russian Hacker) lives in America. He may be Russian but his tools are mainly found here in the US.
I was just about to say that myself.
He lives in Asheville NC
@@TheDr.Magnum I knew it was one of the Carolinas
I am subbed to both Roger and it crazy Russian hacker
@7.51 you can see the American flag on the pole :)
Roger, I worked on a project here in America in the mid 80s with some Russian technicians. Got to know them a little, so at dinner, I asked them about living and working in the USSR. The only thing he said about it was, "They pretend to pay us so we pretend to work". It got really quiet after that.
Ive heard that saying from others from older russians
its because sometimes the soviet government wanted people to think everything on the State side was going good so that the often terrible life at home wasn't so depressing but theres other reasons as well.
Outside bro, even if axes are falling from the sky i'd still go outside xD
Yep!!
All day long, that looked like a scene from a horror movie,or resident evil 7.
You could even threaten me with an axe and I’d just take the axe.
Free axes
The fella you are watching with the Drill Pump is known as the CrazyRussianHacker. He does live in the US now though, so that's why he gets many US items.
I was legit going to say this
@Jake Davis does he still have his bees? Or did they all commit die and he gave up?
Exactly what I was thinking but couldn't remember / didn't know the backstory.
Every one beat me lol
That Steve Irwin cameo got me. I'm not even australian, I'm Indian. RIP my man.🙏🏽
That last video was the Crazy Russian Hacker. He like near Asheville NC
2:30 that toilet was last cleaned when Stalin was still in power. 😂😂😂
As Russia resident, I can tell you: "Actually, YES, you're right". Toilets at highways are never cleaned in Russia :(
I would definitely go outside that toilets not even dirty it’s a biohazard.
In soviet Russia, plumbing fixes plumber.
The craziest toilets I have ever seen was in the Netherlands. The waste sits on a porcelain shelf in the toilet above the water before you flush.
in germany u find them too
It’s handy if you need to retrieve something. 😜😂
For health reason it is not half bad to see it. Can see al kinds off problems by looking at your crap
Like port-a-potties! But not plastic. (At least the one I’ve been in).
I a simple half-russian half-korean guy
I see word Russia in title, I click
Good morning Roger been waiting for a video like this
Heard about your channel awhile ago (mom worked for PHCC), really wish we had more channels like this for HVAC
Oklahoma here checking in. The Steve Irwin part made my morning! Now off to swap a water heater in this winter storm!
What a stellar production. Epic 🔥
I'd love to see a video about the differences between Texas and the Northeast, where we have to deal with freezing weather. I'm sure some people would be amazed at the different ways we plumb in freezing country vs where freeze ups are not an issue
Totally agree. Here you try hard to not put plumbing in outside walls. The difference between inside and outside can be over 100F in winter. Lots of underground piping has heat cable inside the pipe unless it can be buried more than 4 feet below grade.
We don't use pex and pvc often in NY
@@joeb5829 Just curious, are you a plumber? Because your statement is way off base
@@flyingark173 all of the buildings in NYC have solid lead cast iron or brass pipes upstate ny maybe uses pex and pvc because it's single family homes but nyc even most homes have galvanized and lead piping to this day
@@joeb5829 OK I believe that because most of NYC was built before modern materials were available. But New York is a big state and more than half of the state population does not live in NYC. So when you say pex and PVC are not used in "NY", I say you are wrong. Your comment makes perfect sense for "NYC"
Woot woot. New Video!
Great video Roger. Greetings from Brazil ! 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thanks for your support Joao gabriel! 💩
I wasn't expecting a video of Russian plumbing
Haha What were you expecting?
This is super entertaining! Danger, Danger, Danger, brilliant!
That Russian guy at the end looks like he could be some kind of hacker.
Lmao! seemed a little crazy to me
Bruh the editing is soo good
I'm loving the videos :) I love that you are kind towards all different videos
Hi Rodger I'm new to your channel but really enjoying it. I just wanted to say I'd love to see you react to some of the crazier water cooling that goes into computers. In particular the LTT channel's copper pipe water cooling computer
Roger Wakefield, that little transfer pump is really nifty and it appears to work really well too. Assuming you connect it to a decent drill corded or cordless
holy hell. man we found him. hulk hogans actual brother.
this is the guy he keeps yelling brother for hoping hell respond one day.
The last guy is a Russian living in America, The Crazy Russian Hacker is his main channel.
Yo Roger how you doing brother.
I do want thank you for they great footage you be uploading . I'm from California and have been plumbing for approximately 4 years . And hope on keep going .
The first example is comparable to a motorway toilet in Germany. Occasionally the toilets on Deutsche Bahn trains looked like this!
What a wholesome video
Love the videos and I have no idea why! No complaint tho.
Thanks for the support 💩
didn't expect Taras Kul would be in this video hahah..
love his MRE Taste test
Outside. Always bring the 5 gallon bucket with the bottom cut out use as the support for pushing.
The toilet 4' off of the floor, was most likely in the bomb shelter in the basement of a school or other public building.
They ran them up that high to use gravity flow to the city sewer.
Fun video to watch, thanks.
Roger, Taras Kul or "The Crazy Russian Hacker" is American, lives in America. Just FYI.
You need to look at some of the reef tank plumbing like to hear your thoughts
Hey Roger, I am in Australia and all the water spins the wrong direction. I guess I need a plumber!
well done with the up loads roger there are good and bad workers all around the world keep the great uploads coming :)
back in the old days, when it still froze in the US, one winter it dropped to single digits for a whole week - my parents opened an irrigation line to prevent freezing, and it made an ice sculpture six feet tall.
Crazyrussianhacker is the last one. He has alot of RUclips videos. But he does live here in the US tho
Lol the last one with the drill pump the guy is a u tuner lives up north on east coast here in the United states
6:45 Gives a whole new meaning to "Soviet squat"
Outside always carry tp in the truck wool sock also soft backup Haha party hard brothers
3:14 so those are actually mario and luigi when work ran out in the mushroom kingdom
Hi roger
Roger, could you go over indirect water heaters? Looking to convert to all propane and would like to see if this is the best choice. I could get rid of a massive boiler and gain more space and efficiency. What are your thoughts on this?
6:45 outhouses freak me out ever since I heard the story about the Japanese Feudal Lord that drowned when he went to the outhouse and the floor caved in. It being a castle for hundreds of people, the pit was massive. Now THAT is the worst way to go.
I am fairly certain, (though could be wrong) that that scene at 6:56 is almost certainly from the Hungarian comedy Macskajaj (I think it got translated to white cat black cat IDK its from like 1998)
lol i have only ever bought 1 drill pump, the little fins inside it shredded the 1st time i tried to use it. they are a good way to throw away $20. i now have a proper sump pump
That frozen pipe was cool!
Right?! I've never seen it quite like that! Thanks for your support!💩
FYI that frozen water leak that looks like it's spraying out is not a water leak at. Its air leaking from a high volume air compressor hose. Used for large pneumatic tools like a jack hammer. Theres a lot of moisture in the air and is freezing as soon and it escapes the air line. Also with the rapid expansion of the air as it escapes the line drops the temperature of the air dramatically causing the water in the air to freeze. Also that's air you see not water flowing.
Roger, question, what do you think about bottle traps, and why can't we use them in the states? I was remodeling a bathroom, and installed a pedestal sink, could not, for the life of me, fit an s trap inside. The pedestal itself was too narrow. Ended up having to install a trap right under the floor, with a clean out on the bottom. But during my research, I came across these straight in and out bottle traps ,used in Europe I believe? What's your thoughts on those?
Hey Roger, got a plumbing question for you. Every couple weeks or so, my toilet and shower drain will back up and not drain, acting like they’re clogged. They slowly drain but it may take hours, or longer. I’ve seen bubbles coming up from the toilet a couple times before it happens. I’m trying to find a connection between when it happens and what else is going on (running dishwasher, doing laundry, etc) but haven’t found anything yet. Any suggestions? Thanks!
7:04 the water is still spraying out
Those drill pumps are amazing. 10 bucks and drains a water heater in about 10min even a clogged one
I prefer using a compressor with a Schrader valve and 3-4 PSI will blow out a hot water heater in less than 3 minutes
Outside squad!!!
was on a plant in russia where they did the same but the stairs/wall thingy was ti the edge of the toilet so basicly a hole in the ground
Parents had a toilet-on-a-pedestal here in the US as well. They bought the house early in my youth but from what I recall the house had the sewer stack access above basement floor level so it had to be plumbed higher than the basement flooring. Eventually parents had a plumber install an ejector pump for the basement restroom and were able to take out the pedestal toilet.
Neighbors had a different solution whereas their toilet had some sort of pressurized mechanism that was tankless and for for number-1s and light paper only, so no number-2's.
4:03 Drill, adapter, clamp? They're closing a valve.
The last episode, the drill transfer pump, was by "THE CRAZY RUSSIAN HACKER" out of South Carolina(?) not Russia.
When I was in England and Scotland the cold was on the left and hot on the right, and I thought they only drove on the wrong side of the road.
7:51 hey, that's the Crazy Russian Hacker! He does product reviews, though if you look in the background, I believe that confirms he lives in USA.
Hey Roger I love your videos and have learned a lot from them. I have a question. I'm not a licensed plumber or journeyman or an apprentice I've never gone to school but always had a high mechanical aptitude. I've been working on cars disassembling and reassembling engines since the age of 15. I've done electrical plumbing construction you name it. I guess I'm what you would say a jack of all trades master of none. I was lucky enough to find a Christian brother that would take me in and teach me. After a year he has me out on my own as a lead tech which I am pretty comfortable for the most part. We do mainly service calls and we'll get into things from changing a faucet to digging up and replacing sessions of cast that I have done on my own. I've also installed shower diverters via pro press or just sweating copper. I ran packs and done so many different types of jobs on my own since being a lead Tech with a helper. I'm responsible for ordering some parts here and there to making decisions on how to do the job. I always make sure everything's done to my best ability. Just wondering what your thought is? Anybody else feel free to chime in. Also I've already installed four boilers three of which have been on my own.
RUclips is a crazy place. How did I end up in a plumbing channel? can't stop whatching that now haha
Hello Roger, I have a small business in the texarkana area doing vapor barriers and stuff for crawlspace. I'm curious if there is a market for that in your area.
2:50 lmao “guys this could be an expensive repair -OH MY GOSH?!?”
In Russia we pump out entire basement with drill attachment... but have to wait for batteries to recharge by cow operated generator because the power is out!
Hey Roger, just stumbled upon your channel this weekend and I really like your videos, and your clear commitment to honesty and integrity when it comes to your work. I have a question for you that you may or may not know the answer to. Recently, maybe the last week or so, every time I go to run my dishwasher, the kitchen starts to smell a little bit funky. Not necessarily bad, but just not normal. Kind of like a little bit of a burning food smell, but again it’s not really a bad “the house is on fire” burning more just kind of a light scent. I was wondering if a plumber might have any idea as to why this is happening. It doesn’t happen when using the sinks, disposal, or showers or toilets it’s just the dishwasher. We always rinse our dishes completely before loading the dishwasher so I can’t believe there would be any food chunks in there, but wanted to see if you may have an idea. Unfortunately we’re renting, so going out and buying a new washer (much as I’d love to) isn’t an option and I’m sure our landlord will just send in some handyman who has no idea what’s going on to pretend it’s fine. Thanks!
On the roof bruv
When I lived in Egypt I saw men climb in manholes unplugging sewers. They would hold their breath and jump in with a tool to unplug the sewer line. Most public toilets in Egypt were at floor level, you had to squat.
FYI that frozen water leak that looks like it's spraying out is not a water leak at. Its air leaking from a high volume air compressor hose. Used for large pneumatic tools like a jack hammer. There's no good videos showing us how to shut off the water to our house here in Texas please help. I looked at the meter and there is only a city side and two green circle "boxes" on the house side. Valves in green circles both look different.
1:09 - do those pipes run upwards?
Show us plumbing in high rises, what goes up, must come down.
I think you and Steve Lavimoniere should race your plumbing trucks.
Ive had a sprinkler head burst due to the cold and it froze like an umbrella. Craziest thing i ever saw.
the dude with the drill pump lives in asheville n.c. Kinda famous you tuber .
Man wish I had your knowledge . I have a issue passed my clean out I suspect runs more then a 1000ft under two yards to the st I wondering where my responsibility ends
And how to fix it I tried snaking it without a rotor type snake tool that uses electric I have snaked about 20-25 ft but hit a angle or turn and can't go farther
How do I clean the drains of kitchen and bathroom sinks so that they don’t have yucky odors ? Besides bleach ...boiling hot water ?
A little out of topic but went to an interview with roto rooters. Would like to get your opinion on them. Don’t have any experience and was looking for a way in the industry.
well out side it is! xD
3:22 wassup DTown que onda compas
The bathroom at 6:00 looks similar to my bathroom, only his is more spacious. The market where I live is crazy.
A friend who owned a new two story home in Northridge, California told me the plumber didn't plumb the upstairs toilet sewer line. Wall full of poop.
Hahahah “shout out to Dewalt made it all the way to Russia” MEANWHILE the guy (crazyRussianhacker) is a RUclips based in the USA with a couple million subscribers. So dewalt didn’t make it that far 😂😂🙏🏻
So I was an apprentice down here in the Tampa Bay area , Florida and just curious how often you run into the old tampons/ maxi pads soaked in motor oil and flushed down the toilet ?! Usually the result of a bad roommate situation and it can cause nightmares , I'm really intrigued to know💯👨🔧
Australian plumbing is amazing. It's able to flush toilets, and drain tubs *upside down!* Unbelievable that the Aussies were able to invent that stuff. 😎👍
At 7:02 that's a steam line not a water line.
In Russia you don’t fix pluming, in mother Russia they fix themselves
no comrad, the pluming fix you. ;)
Truck park is go in a bucket in my truck with a lid on it till I could dispose properly
That last guy with the drill pump is a Russian youtuber who lives in america. He has 3 different channels. One of which he tests out different products. Which is the video you have with the drill pump ..
some places there are no hole in the ground, just the ground
I was in a city in the Russian lower Volga Region and saw a toilet had a platform built around it and tiled so that it was a middle east style squat toilet.
3:10 those rain coats sure helped.
7:07 this is incredible and should be considered art! Watch there is water still spraying inside of that ice shell!!!!!
TP available in standard 80 and fine 120 grit.
Please do New York
@ 7.30 that isn't a water line. That's a pneumatic hose. And it looks more moisture laden than it should be. But the stream you see is not a full tube of running water, it is a channel of air. If it was truly cold enough to flash freeze a blast of water as it exits the pipe, the pipe would have been frozen solid and the neck of the blast right against the hose would have also frozen solid so that nothing could have past further. Thus it is a cone and pipe formed from the water droplets in the air line getting frozen as the rush out into the open.
We call those ice sculptures in the midwest & upper medwest. Temp in Moscow, Russia right now 9 degrees Fahrenheit, St Louis metro area where I live 8 degrees Fahrenheit & my nephew's house in St Paul, Minnesota -5 degrees Fahrenheit ( Welcome to our world noon on Saturday & it will be a lot colder tonight). Water utilities will definitely be working overtime.
Lmao 🤣
