1:45 I like that for once Feyd and Rabban share a similar sense of unease and alarm here, though the former is quicker to cover it. It's also about the only time Feyd seems a little bit wary of the situation he's in (his encounter with Margot seemed more dazed and, ah... horny)
1:45 Not to give too much credit to the actors, but their faces really do convey the severity of the matter at hand. This is a matter of the preservation or destruction of the most valuable resource in the known universe. The Emperor's family's multi-millennial hold over the Imperium and their entire legacy in on the line. Also, the Baron knows that this is of unprecedented urgency, yet he literally knows nothing to a hilarious degree. This scene is so intense
1:21 The Baron knew the mountains wouldn’t do anything, he wanted to usurp the throne( he was creeping towards it before Paul killed him).He knew the Emperor arriving would draw out the Fremen and force a confrontation. He failed to foresee how powerful the freman assault would be.

Was kind of peeved to not hear the guttorial vernacular of the sardukar, but I realize they are the closest to the emperor like the veringian guard, likely able to speak Latin.
Love this scene. I wish it was a little longer with the Emperor interrogating the Baron. I also was so bummed that the Emperor didn’t say “My dear Baron” like in the book
He embarrassed him when he didn’t kill the heir of house atraides, technically it was the reverend mother double speak of keep the mother and child alive.
I think the Emperor is desperate and pissed off. His co conspirators are being very coy, despite the dangerous predicament that Muad’ib has put them in, and he’s feeling the walls close in. The Baron likes to think he’s smarter than the Emperor and I think he just had it at this point. Assert control, take back command. But it was all too late.
Its a mix of a lot of things, first and foremost the emperor knows paul is alive since the Atredies seal was used which means his insanely risky move to help the harkonnens wipe out the Atredies failed and its the barons fault. To add on to that they then were failing at spice production due to said Atredies survivor, and ontop of it all the Baton didnt even check the South with the emperor clearly knowing thats where the Freman are

I see Baron Vladimir Harkonnen at the first movie and seeing him so mysterious and darkly intelligent, now in this movie he becomes some kind of disappointment. Even Littlefinger is better than making excuses or cover-up lies that would get him killed.
"More, More! Give me more!"
I want more scenes of the emperor
A weird casting but he sold me on his delivery
muad'dib is alive, I MUST FIND HIM!
MAHD!?
I need more cow bells
Maybe in the next movie when he and his grandson and Irulan try to take back power
I have a fever… and the only prescription is more scenes with the emperor!
Love Feyd’s subtle “hmm” as he eyes up the Princess 😅
GEEZ That is a great catch! I love it when people point out more and more subtle things that Feyd does! There is no limit to it!

I like how Feyd was made to sound almost exactly like the Baron
It was the choice of the actor Austin Butler

That definitely makes sense; not unusual to suspect that many of the higher ranked leaders of the Sardaukar might be bilingual or trilingual.
