Never saw such commitment to film so many camera bags in the cold and sharing your experience - thanks for that :) I guess you won't steal my camera bag, since it's an PeakDesign 6l sling housing my X100VI with some snacks for my two kids :D
I have the 16L Fulton. Love it. All day comfort and perfect size for all sorts of Have the new sling and it’s far superior build quality. Used Thinktank bags for years and switched to Tenba. Far superior. One bag that is the most comfortable above any other is the “Streetwalker” from Think tank. Something about the straps and how the bag fits your back is unbelievable
I’ve also been using the same Wotancraft 7L Pilot for a year. Love it. Yes, the big divider is to make a compartment for an iPad. I’m looking to get their 3.5L, seems perfect!
I think you can't go wrong with the Domke F2 for a shoulder bag; loads of space, easy to move the insert around, and you can even remove the bottom panel if you want it to feel softer and more compact. It doesn't have all the fancy things and some people hate the velcro and metal clips, but it will take a beating for years. I prefer the ruggedwear version because they're a softer fabric that will conform to your body easily. Some people want more padding or weather protection, but the Domke is nice and light for all the space it has. Side pockets are good for things like bottled drinks and you can easily clip accessory pouches or straps to the metal D rings. Fits exactly under an airline seat, too.
I recently bought the Tenba Fulton V2 in 10L and it's a really well made backpack. It's the slimmest I could find for a super light weight and compact bag.
Thanks for sharing your bag history and thoughts behind your needs. Although Wotancraft isn't exactly what I need right now but that Tenba is definitely very interesting.
Like you I got the Tenba Fulton 14l AW based on Milner’s video. No regrets. Very affordable, very well made, great for travel and will handle sustained heavy rain when used with the rain cover. And I also have the Wotancraft Pilot 7l. Beautiful bag, so well made and whilst some of the design features are kind of weird, they work. Can’t fathom why you had a problem with the dividers, they are great. Only issue for me are the side pockets…very tight for a 500ml water bottle.
The zipper on my Peak Design 5L bag also broke over a year ago. The nice thing was PD provides a long term guarantee for their bags & they sent a 6L replacement bag. Unfortunately at that time they did not have a return policy where one could send in the old one, for example to repair them or recycle them in a way. Loved the 5L version, I find the 6L one a bit too bulky.
I've been using the 3.5L & 7L Pilots for sometime now and just love them... I did replace the supplied dividers with some thicker/flat dividers that work better for me. Great bags and review Samuel...
I've only been shooting for one and a half years now and I went through so many bags already that just doesn't seem to fit my needs, but that Fanny Pack from the beginning loocks jusr right for my XE4 and a spare lens. Time to sell some of my older bags
I ordered a wrist strap from Wotancraft after you shouted them out in your X100VI coverage, and have been eyeing up the Pilot messenger since then, as I've upgraded from a GR IIIx to an X-T5 but need something to carry it around in.. that would be perfect 😁
I'm still using the Tenba Fulton 10L until the net side pocket is broken. Now I'm using a backpack called Caseman CP200N, it's also made in China and its quality is good.
Hi Samuel! since you're one of the few people who used both XH1 and XS10 can you please make vid comparing the two? I'm still undecided whether choosing XH1 or XS10 for my first camera which mainly focused on photo but occasional shoot video as well.
I have a lowepro cheap but functional backpack I got when I bought my a6000. I have since upgraded equipment and have been searching for a good bag and new quality strap, this video was terrific….new subscriber 😄👍🏻
Great video, I have almost as many bags as you 😀.. but have entered for messenger bag, but will look at there other bags as they do look awesome. Love your work ❤
Speaking of gr’s is there a mark 4 on its way soon? Blink twice if yes cause I know you can’t say if there is one coming soon but I’m going on a trip soon and am curious if I should buy now or wait a couple months for an announcement
I used peak design sling bag for the first time 2019.... ever since been my favorite brand and still use it until today with other bags like the everyday pack bag 20L and 30L travel bag, I like the minimalist design, stealthy bag does not look bulky when it's filled with gears low chance air port will ask you t o check the weight because it looks small and minimalist compare to other bags same size, even after years of using held really well
Great breakdown, Samuel. Always love every video you produce. I also am very interested in the new Shimoda Urban Explorer (much smaller than their travel backpacks). Brand new. Check them out! also -- shout out to Dan Milnor, one of my most favs next to you (he's not doing anymore videos for his channel so you have to sign up for Shifter, his website, to get content. Anyway, love it all (and yeah, still waiting for the Samuel Streetlife camera strap for my RicohGRXiii or X100F). :))
I cannot recommend any “Peak” Design product at all except their straps, and I don’t even use the actual straps, I just use the connectors on custom straps. I’ve had THREE bags fail catastrophically and TWO of them were zipper failures. I had a Peak Design Everyday Zip bottom zipper get snagged on a branch and almost released my Nikkor 70-200 2.8 and a D850 attached down a 300 foot cliff. I had to paracord the broken zipper all the way back down the mountain. They need that lifetime warranty in my mind because their products are so shoddy. All the while Billingham has a 5 year warranty, but the bags will last for forever. I will never ever recommend “Peak” Design ever. They bags are super common now too, literally every Guy With A Camera or Poser Pro has them because they sell them everywhere. I instantly recognize them and immediately think: there is expensive camera equipment in there. The designs are just chic and the benefits end there. Not only that, but all of their products are overpriced as well. How do they got off selling their Messenger for the same price as a Billingham Hadley or a Wotancraft? Buy a Wandrd or a Mindshift, or anything else other than a Peak Design.
Interesting. IS this used as a water repellent? The fabric is branded Codura. I had the 10L new from them, realized it was much too big for me, and sold it about two weeks later.
Jo! Gerade gesehen😉 ich kann nicht 24 std am Tag auf Instagram schauen :D und eigentlich wollte Wotancraft die story posts sammeln. Ich mache Screenshots von allem. Keine Sorge du bist im Rennen 👍
Giveaway Update: Giveaway is now closed! Thank you all for participating. Winners were announced on Instagram.

which sling did you get?
Pilot 10L or/and 7L are simply the best bag. I love my 10M since 2 years, always with me.
I’ve also been using the same Wotancraft 7L Pilot for a year. Love it.

Same here I have the 7l and the 2l Wotancraft. Fantastic bags, for me better than Billingham.

Loving the all black clothing/bag episode. Very nice vibe...now to just have a pink Fujifilm Instax in the shot somewhere...great episode!
Haha it was definitely not intentional. I should have worn something more colorful 😂
Thanks for sharing your bag history and thoughts behind your needs. Although Wotancraft isn't exactly what I need right now but that Tenba is definitely very interesting.
I just bought the best camera bag ever, the Tenba DNA 16". It`s so nice to get rid of all the backpacks

Samuel have you any plans to publish more copies of your new book, now that it has sold out 🤞. I would love to purchase a copy.

Where did you get the dividers from?
@@darrenhaken I had a camera bag insert I pickup off of ebay that had think padded dividers.

The 7L Pilot bag is really great. It has broken a "lifetime habit" of looking for a better bag. And yes, their straps are very good
Just bought a wotancraft pilot 10L and already looking for another. Maybe I just have a issue?..
I ordered a wrist strap from Wotancraft after you shouted them out in your X100VI coverage, and have been eyeing up the Pilot messenger since then, as I've upgraded from a GR IIIx to an X-T5 but need something to carry it around in.. that would be perfect 😁

So cool camera bags demo! I have my choice, thank you Samuel!
love your channel Samuel !
Wotancraft pilot is great. Thanks for the vid Samuel!
I ordered the X100VI and recently got a 3L Peak Design bag. Just tell me my son is ugly already 😂
😂
haha just saw you commented almost the same like me :D
I had the original Pilot backpack, but it was shaped like a brick - so I sold it.
Defo should have got a gr as it comes with a lens that can focus properly 😂
Do yourself a favor and when the zipper breaks ignore the Lifetime Warranty buy a Billingham or a Wotancraft instead.
Die Suche nach der richtigen Tasche, ist eine Suche ohne Ende.
So ist es 😂
He sounded so German describing he doesn’t like camera bags. 😂
Great Tenba add. i also like my Tenba
I been using a millican, is not for cameras has a rolling top. Nice design and simple.
All my peakdesign zippers have broken, replacing them is also a pain. I'm looking for something else now to replace my sling.
I love Samuel and Samuel accessories
I'm loving the pilot 10L!
wow the Parashooter straps is cool af

I miss the days when you were happy with that obscure black bag you bought in Japan.

kislux versace bag is so cute
Hello Samuel, I’m from Athens Greece, from where can i order the wotancraft travel pilot 7 ? Very interesting video!

I have a closet graveyard full of camera bags!
Sorry, it’s not the zippers, it’s you 😂
The arch nemesis of the zippers
The motorcycle term ATGATT applies here 😅

All your bags is the only way lol
I don't agree with your bags of choice, but nice car😉
It’s this a movie?
am I the only one who just takes the camera on a strap…?
That's the ideal!
You have BAS... Bag aquisition syndrome 😅
These Wontacraft bags look great but are made with PFAS, forever chemical which is a passion which should be banned.
Interesting. IS this used as a water repellent? The fabric is branded Codura. I had the 10L new from them, realized it was much too big for me, and sold it about two weeks later.
bruv i put my gr in my pants pocket. no ty

@@SamuelStreetlife Ganz ganz lieben Dank!! Hatte gedacht, es liegt an mir 🙈
Aren't you sad too that Daniel Milnor has left RUclips? Now you're all I have left 🥲
Milnor is a damn treasure.
