A successful football player needs to either be able to adapt to the coaches scheme or the coach has to adapt to the player (obviously) a big issue is players and coaches let their ego get in the way and don’t adapt to each other

I vaguely recall Leinart's commitment to the game and his team being questioned as a result of his penchant for flying home from Arizona to Los Angeles often, doing things like getting his photo taken in hot tubs with lovely ladies. Hard to get your teammates on your side when you have a background and preference for the Hollywood glam life.
