That's why he tried so hard to save her life. As a boy he promised to save his sister and his mom no matter what, and that strong conviction, like nen, stuck around after death and rebirth. While I agree Palm's date with Gong is weird, I don't think Palm is a predator in the usual sense that an adult dating a child would involve, I mean she is obviously mentally unwell, and is not really leveraging her maturity to manipulate an innocent child, and there is no really a power imbalance either since Gong is pretty independent and has no dependency with Palm whatsoever, which is the main reason adults dating children is problematic.

the gon, kite relationship dose make sense when you know that kite is one of the big reasons he became a hunter and is pretty much his only farther figure. i also have experienced having a farther figure like that, that had set you on a goal or a path, even after nothing seeing them for years my feeling for that person didn't change they were still like a dad to me. gon also feels massive guilt for what happened to kite.
Aside from the ties Kite has with Ging and his encounter with Gon when he was younger, more importantly, Gon felt responsible for Kites death. At the beginning of this arc, Kite told them he will prioritise himself/his team over Gon/Killua. But when the kids were in danger, Kite jumped infront to protect them, losing his arm and dying to Pitou.
25:25 Don't treat it as "this is the 2011 version and there was a 1999 version"...I mean you've already seen Kite's first meet with Gon in the 1999....the anime is based on the manga so the coming events are not specifically for the 2011 version... Yes for some reason when they produced the 2011 version they didn't include Kite in ep1 and made it in a flashback, but it is still all based on the manga.... meaning that Kite is still so important to Gon even though they didn't show their full first meeting in the 2011 version.

Day 53 of telling Carlie and Ange that Hisoka isn't actually a pedo*****. He’s sexually attracted to power. And he doesn’t care if it’s coming from machi or gon. I don’t think Hisoka has a regular sex drive. I believe his whole existence is based on the drive to prove himself against powerful opponents - so his sex drive also manifests itself as attraction for power and potential. Just treat him like a normal character and forget it 😅😅😅
16:50 you missed the part about the cougars coming to the island! 😅 They had to change the translation for the english sub but yeah, Gon would take cougars that visited the island on dates.
The thing about the queen's disregard for her own life is that she's an ant. She's intelligent, but is ruled by insect instinct rather than human ego. Her function within the species is to give birth to the king, so that's what her main concern is. We can see later how human ego conflicts with the ant instincts of several ants, but that's not a concern for her.
u guys totally missed it cus u talked over it lol but its basically insinuated that gon is pretty much(probably) more 'experienced' with women, not just an innocent way. its stated women who visit/drop off whale island like to date younger men and 'teach' them things.. iykyk
@@brunhilde4334 It is but togashi himself helped write the fillers tho, he wanted to add the fillers on a revised edition of hxh but couldn't cause Nippon animation owns the rights to it.
@@boyzvird That makes sense, I noticed how the fillers are also kinda tied in to the story or maybe like "expansions" or something, unlike other anime's where fillers are pure fan service like an outing on the beach. It doesn't make sense because the anime removed Kite from the first episode and any and all mention of him until he appears in the CA arc. It's never an issue in the manga.
Guys, the anime messed up quite a lot, when Kite and Gon met after Gon completing Greed Island, they immediately recognized each other and greeted each other, not like that weird interaction in the anime when Gon didn't remember the guy who saved his life right away and Kite started shooting Gon, these scenes are all fillers. Also Gyro was already reincarnated as a different chimera ant but he left the nest and went to create his own kingdom in another place
Hi Carlie and Ange.... the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight in jjk was reanimated!! Are you guys gonna react to it???... plus you should REALLY check out Kaiju no.8 and Wind Breaker.. love❤❤
The Gon Kite situation is a bit tricky. On paper, they were pretty close but haven't met in a long time. Kite also was like a master or mentor to Gon while also being a friend of his dad. Gon already has twisted emotions and has egocentric tendencies, combine this with the guilt Gon has for Kite's situation and you got a little kid that is emotionally unstable and sad, he feels desperate to do something about it but feels helpless and useless right now. Tldr: Gon is not in a good space right now and simultaneously has to push through a low-key world ending crisis he is witnessing to unfold. His emotional responses might not be reasonable or rational right now. I do agree that the 2011 version of the anime didn't do the whole relationship between the 2 characters justice.
Kite is the closest thing Gon has to a father figure - I agree its not well handled in the show, but I can see why he acts how he acts when it comes to kite
To be honest I was never able to feel empathy for Gon. I never understood his reasoning. Like the way he wouldn't give up in the exam arc and wouldn't accept the Ninja guy's surrender either. It's just stupid to me tbf and I can't relate to him and his way of thinking. I just see him as an unreasonable kid and move on lol
Please, take this arc a little bit more seriously, it is not considered one of the best arcs (story wise) in ALL animés for nothing, there are immense lessons to get from it but for that, you need to take it more seriously. Yes there are some goofy moments but this arc is nothing but goofy. Pay attention to the story, the lines, the character development, the actions... I sometimes feel that you are missing the whole point of this arc. I love you guys, that's why I'm telling you this.
@@toxic3790 I feel you! Hopefully, someone has already said something on Patreon and they'll take our pieces of advice into account for the next reactions
The 2011 anime skipping over them meeting in chapter 1 was definitely a mistake. The only reason Gon learned that Ging was alive and became a hunter to find him was because of Kite. Regardless of this, tho, I feel like Gon's rage/dark determination stems more from his sense of justice than his relationship with Kite.
Spoilers I mean yeah. Unfortunately he would've probably lost against the royal guards too, tho the power gap would've been less prominent. Remember that the only reason Meruem rip his leg and arm instead of his head was because he wasn't really trying to kill Netero yet.
Reponse to Spoilers ... 100% Netero would win against the guards. You said Meruem rip his limbs instead of head. Yes, but after like 5 minutes of trying to find a single tiny opening.... and Meruem is specialised in searching for opening like in chess-like games. The other guard would have never been able to touch Netero. Look at Youpi, struggeling to touch our heroes, who are "100" times slower than Netero's Power. Meruem felt "pain" from the hits, before succeding to hit Netero. The other Guard would have felt "Death" ^^... without a hope to succed nevertheless.
That's because they talked over it and missed it... I wish they would just pause if they want to say something and only resume when they're done talking. You'd think reactors would think to do something so obvious but ironically, there are many that don't or that end up doing it only after being called out over not doing it.
While I think dragon ball has some influence over this and many other works and I don’t mind being pointed out but I think it’s getting a bit convoluted I mean If u really want to , u can link everything to dragon ball just like u can say Simpson did it first lol 😂 Coz it was on so long like dragon ball and its shonen so there will always be some overlapping plots point 😂
Palm: dates Gon with the intention of romance, somehow not a predator?? Hisoka: refuses to touch Gon because he's too young and waits until he's older, somehow a predator?? make it make sense
Guys can you please confirm that you will react to opening and endings ❤ I don't want to wait for something that is not going to happen my heart will break
They completely missed the line about how Gon's a womanizer whose dated almost every tourist girl that came to his island. If anything with Palm's level of mental maturity Gon's probably taking advantage of Palm.

has nothing to do with netero in particular. just wanted to point out that a stronger aura DOESNT automatically mean "stronger fighter" in hunter x hunter (its not like in dragonball, you guys are to obsessed with dragonball men XDXD).
that goes for the whole show, wich i love. so just keep that in mind at all times. goes for every fight and every arc!!
It's actually amazing how well you get the show , especially in this arc while not wanting the story to progress faster and taking everything in ... Keep going you'll love it .
The fact that ange don't hold back and pander to the audience is one of the best parts of this channel cuz I never feel like he's just saying some shit
If you don't understand Gon's affection for Kite, then you haven't get Gon's character at this point.
Aside from how he is, Kite is the person frol who Gon has learned the most about Ging.
Netero has giving his all with his aura. The ants are that strong.
anime does a bad job of showing how gon views kite, it's not the audiences fault they don't "get" it
This arc (and the next arc) would give a heavy explanation in the dialogue and monologue of the characters (even in the narrator's monologue too), so i think it would be best if you guys click pause from time to time whenever you have something to say about any certain scene.
I mean, i know you guys probably rewatching it in the editing process but it would be great if we could see your first reaction on screen 😅
They don't edit their videos... They have editors. But I agree with you, nice advice!
I dont want to be rude or anything, but you guys talked over or completely skipped parts that i was looking forward to see your reactions to, mainly the part where the king said "In the hands of an incompetent, power brings nothing but ruin" it was our first introduction to what the king is thinking other than food, i was so waiting to see your reactions to that but it wasn't even in the video 😔😔 Again i love watching your reactions and enjoy the jokes and laughing with you. maybe you can pause when you are going to discuss something then refocus i actually prefer when reactors do that.
Yeah I was about to write that. Also when Gon said he went on dates with older women who liked younger guys.
One of my best HxH moments. Incompasses how vile humans can be, and how easy power corrupts.
I love the "Have you ever spared a cow or a pig as it begged for its life?" as well and they skipped it :c
Yea it's pretty frustrating when they talk over important dialogue but i guess we can't expect them to catch everything
lol when you guys talked over gon saying he did already go out with older women who sought out younger boys
the gon, kite relationship dose make sense when you know that kite is one of the big reasons he became a hunter and is pretty much his only farther figure. i also have experienced having a farther figure like that, that had set you on a goal or a path, even after nothing seeing them for years my feeling for that person didn't change they were still like a dad to me. gon also feels massive guilt for what happened to kite.
It's funny that even Netero cutting his hair was being theorized. 😂
Y'all missed the wildest line of the episode 😅
When they are talking about what would be Meruem's weakness and would cause his downfall, I could only smile XD Love these characters, man
Aside from the ties Kite has with Ging and his encounter with Gon when he was younger, more importantly, Gon felt responsible for Kites death. At the beginning of this arc, Kite told them he will prioritise himself/his team over Gon/Killua. But when the kids were in danger, Kite jumped infront to protect them, losing his arm and dying to Pitou.

Don't treat it as "this is the 2011 version and there was a 1999 version"...I mean you've already seen Kite's first meet with Gon in the 1999....the anime is based on the manga so the coming events are not specifically for the 2011 version...
Yes for some reason when they produced the 2011 version they didn't include Kite in ep1 and made it in a flashback, but it is still all based on the manga.... meaning that Kite is still so important to Gon even though they didn't show their full first meeting in the 2011 version.
You guys are my favorite Anime reactors reacting to HxH right now❤ Keep it up!
Oh, You don't even wanna know how CANONICALLY worse Hisoka is than Palm💀
another fun reaction, thanks yall!~
can we imagine how much powefull the king would be if he wait the rest of the time? , they tell us this because is just a glimse of how powefull a King Quimera ant can be ...
Just treat him like a normal character and forget it 😅😅😅
The fact that the king have the same voice actor as Tsuki..
We can see later how human ego conflicts with the ant instincts of several ants, but that's not a concern for her.
this whole interaction at 8:55 has me dead 😂
Kite's nen was so powerful.
u guys totally missed it cus u talked over it lol but its basically insinuated that gon is pretty much(probably) more 'experienced' with women, not just an innocent way. its stated women who visit/drop off whale island like to date younger men and 'teach' them things.. iykyk
Kite is the closest thing Gon have to his father, that's why he look up that much to Kite.
actually Killua loves adult movies but this version cut that part of his character. In 1999 version there are scenes in which u can clearly see that😊
that is a filler. dont comment anything you arent sure about
@@brunhilde4334 It is but togashi himself helped write the fillers tho, he wanted to add the fillers on a revised edition of hxh but couldn't cause Nippon animation owns the rights to it.
@@boyzvird That makes sense, I noticed how the fillers are also kinda tied in to the story or maybe like "expansions" or something, unlike other anime's where fillers are pure fan service like an outing on the beach. I find it weird in the new version why they did not show kite in episode 1 and kurapika's vow for example makes so much more sense in the old version.
@@brunhilde4334 🤡🤡
@@boyzvird thats not what he added and you dont have a proof
have to watch more to find out what the king's weakness is
By far the most intense episode Imo
You didnt look at the part where gon says a lot of the women who visited his island liked young boys so he is used to dating older women too
torture and murder = "ok"
a date = "oh no, that's so problematic!"
welcome to today's morality
Please guys, Gyro is not the king 😅😅😅 the anime left out the scene where Gyro became an ant, The king is no one but the king himself
FINALLY a reactor that has the same opinion as me on the fact that kite and gon had known each other for very little time for gon to react like this and be this attached to him! like yeah if it was kurapika or leorio that would be 100% legit but with kite... idk but anyway thank you Ange for that lol love you guys and your reactions as always 😊
That's literally his character
Just read the manga
It doesn't make sense because the anime removed Kite from the first episode and any and all mention of him until he appears in the CA arc. It's never an issue in the manga.
It’ll be fun to watch if you can find all the parallels in this arc
Guys, the anime messed up quite a lot, when Kite and Gon met after Gon completing Greed Island, they immediately recognized each other and greeted each other, not like that weird interaction in the anime when Gon didn't remember the guy who saved his life right away and Kite started shooting Gon, these scenes are all fillers. Also Gyro was already reincarnated as a different chimera ant but he left the nest and went to create his own kingdom in another place
I can't wait to hear ur opinions about the king by the end of this arc
Hi Carlie and Ange.... the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight in jjk was reanimated!! Are you guys gonna react to it???... plus you should REALLY check out Kaiju no.8 and Wind Breaker.. love❤❤
ur probably arldy past this but i hope you can make the correlation between East Gorteu and all its proceedings with North Korea
The audio mixing on these reactions will be the death of me!
The next episode is one of my favourite in the series!
Carlie "If only he felt her love, things might be different" Spot on!! you will see later
Don't you guys underestimate Chairman's power don't you know the anime old man rule😂
Kite is the closest thing Gon has to a father figure - I agree its not well handled in the show, but I can see why he acts how he acts when it comes to kite
TLDR - Read the Manga ;)
W thumbnail 🐐🐐 ( Meruem scarier for me) 😅
Gon and kite situation is Gon feeling guilty I think. but seriously guys I can’t wait for you to see Netro definitely one of my favourite this arc
man why are they underestimating gin and netro so much??🤣🤣
palm is what I imagine a hopeless romantic to be tbh
Good thumbnail
Ange in a backwards cap thoooo 🔥
lets be fair.... palm is kinda hot... and yeah i would lmao
You aare right Ange, in this version of HxH they really "underdo" the relationship between Gon and Kite for sure. Is my one complaint of the show
That's Kayto 👀
Cutting of the topknot is a thing in Japanese history.
YALL SHOULD WATCH NEXT SEASON OF INVINCIBLE!!! unless yall r already plannin that or sumpin or dont wanna ::3
I think you guys missed the part that Gon is used to date elder woman, lol someone older than him at least
Hopefully, someone has already said something on Patreon and they'll take our pieces of advice into account for the next reactions
completely agree wirh Ange's take on the kite situation . I had the same problems
"Netero can fight a guard" Remember this sentence :)
?
Spoilers
I mean yeah. Unfortunately he would've probably lost against the royal guards too, tho the power gap would've been less prominent. Remember that the only reason Meruem rip his leg and arm instead of his head was because he wasn't really trying to kill Netero yet.
@@gabrieldossantos1116 yea even in the episode it says he won't get passed the royal guard
@@gabrieldossantos1116 Nah netero would most likely win vs a royal guard 1v1.
Reponse to Spoilers
...
I’m waiting for the next episode of blue lock yall🥲
16:51 Im suprised they dont react about all the women who visit Gon's island teach him stuff💀💀💀 first i saw it my jaw dropped
That's because they talked over it and missed it... I wish they would just pause if they want to say something and only resume when they're done talking. You'd think reactors would think to do something so obvious but ironically, there are many that don't or that end up doing it only after being called out over not doing it.
Cheeto Puffs
4:57 hey hey hey, what's with the accusation!? Your hate is showing. 😂
Finalllyy
Palm top tier waifu
How old is Palm btw?🤔
They gave her age in episode 94 or 95. She's 22.
There she goes the best waifu.. 😂😂
What if this is 1999 animation Oof.
While I think dragon ball has some influence over this and many other works and I don’t mind being pointed out but I think it’s getting a bit convoluted
I mean If u really want to , u can link everything to dragon ball just like u can say Simpson did it first lol 😂
Coz it was on so long like dragon ball and its shonen so there will always be some overlapping plots point
😂
Netero's secret weapon is "Rose" 🤣😂🤣🤣
Shhh
Damn you guys completely missed the funniest part...
Gon is a victim 😭
It is not kites clown 🤡 it's Neferpitos 🐈 nen beast
😂😂😂😂
Palm: dates Gon with the intention of romance, somehow not a predator??
Hisoka: refuses to touch Gon because he's too young and waits until he's older, somehow a predator??
make it make sense
They're both predators but Hisoka is significantly worse, like WAY worse.
A romance with 'clean Palm' would definitely be on my bucket list back when I was 12.
Hisoka was Schwinging it while fighting Gon in heavens arena
Hisoka is not waiting for gon to be older...he is waiting for Gong to be stronger....
@@psy_99 and? schwinging but still resisting is basic respect
Guys can you please confirm that you will react to opening and endings ❤
I don't want to wait for something that is not going to happen my heart will break
They completely missed the line about how Gon's a womanizer whose dated almost every tourist girl that came to his island. If anything with Palm's level of mental maturity Gon's probably taking advantage of Palm.
You guys are missing a lot of stuff that's going on in the show, better to pause, then talk and continue instead of talking over and missing the dialogue/subtitles....
No offense 👍
You guys are frustrating sometimes, getting confused at the simplest things lol
Too much talking over the episode, you keep missing the best parts with forced commentary that can wait
Waiting for One Piece: day 38
Im waiting for it right there with ya. Whenever they decide to take on One Piece it'll be a wonderful day. Maybe after they finish HxH :>
@@xdrago1051 can't even imagine how much I wait for this day
I agree with you Ange, There was no build up for kite and gon’s affection towards kite is not justified
Kite's nen was so powerful.
