- Synopsis : The film on the Koyna project shows the completion of one phase of thedam after nine years' continuous toil by 8,000 men and women workers.The project id designed to harness rich hydro-electric potential ofthe river Koyna to add to the prosperity.

My grandmother and grandfather was also in this village koyna nagar they face many situations tranfering one place to another place but such a great days came now from koyna real great development . Hard work given lot of success to Maharashtra. So nice l proud of my Maharashtra and koyna dam hardworking people ♥️♥️😘

I was a resident of Koyana from
1965 to 1969 (Quarter F-28/i) That was golden period of my childhood
Even we were there in quarter in the same time period.
I have very proudfull feeling after looking this documentary because my Three family generation are working in this project My Grandfather my father and my self are working in koyna hydro electric project an village of koyna,pophali, Alore and Kolkewadi Various of iv stage projects.👌🙏🙏👍

I have not done such work yet but i am fine to go to a scale to cover the intricate details of this project, document them well in videographic format. My four father was dam affected person ,after 50 years these peoples suffer lots of pains n tears but govt till now not serious to solves there problems like land, jobs, village land,Agri land, roads, etc....prakash more, shindi now at Vavoshi, khopoli Raigad.

It is very unfortunate that displaced people are not yet fully settled. We , Indian, should abandon the colonial attitude of making farmers poor by paying meagre remuneration to their land. We should provide them all facilities.

Very touching narration that in those days it was very difficult to leave ancestral home, soil and land for nations development forever.

Please for God"s shake put the date of completion of the films. It seems this is done some time between 1958-1962. A well made propaganda film!
As usual this is a propaganda film of the Govt. of India of that time. World over and since ages people have built Dams but hardly any are that successful. Still Dams are being built... but for whom?! The downstream land and the river banks go dry! But the Govt. (the world over) shows and propagates that a lot of development has taken place. No where the people affected are shown or offered audience. I am doubtful if the people of the affected villages are rehabilitated yet! They never will be....after all they cannot voice their grievances!! People like Medha Patkar host demonstrations (against) and shut their mouth after they are satisfied with their hunger!! And the process goes on............!!!! Funny!!!
