- Last week, Cedar Fair came out with a bunch of announcements for the 2023 season! Many parks are getting refreshed themed areas, restaurants, and new rides & roller coasters! I personally liked a lot of what Cedar Fair did, but today I rank all their announcements in order to find which one was the best!

Wonderland getting another crazy big flat ride makes sense when you take into account their other announcement this year, that Winterfest is coming back and will continue.
Couple that with the fact that Wonderland needs to close most of their coasters for the winter season (for safety reasons), it becomes pretty apparent why Wonderland is investing in another big flag ride. They need a major GP magnet that can operate during the winter season, and a crazy big flat ride like that fits the bill (assuming it can operate in winter).
At first, Cedar Fair's announcements seemed underwhelming, but then you have to realize they are still pulling out of the pandemic and Cedar Fair really handled 2020 and most of 2021 very poorly. Six Flags handled the pandemic pretty good compared (before Salim). But now that cedar fair had a great 2022 and a firm foot on the floor, they made reasonable additions for next year. They upgraded parks this year (KD with Jungle expedition, etc) and seem focused on that along with ride additions. Give it another year or so and bigger attractions will be announced. Six Flags did a 180 from where they were 1-2 years ago,and their future looks very dire. I don't expect any major rides for six flags parks for several years. My recent visits to Kings Dominion and Carowinds were excellent and I'm already looking to renew my kings dominion platinum pass for next year. And i live almost 1000 miles away from the park😂

KD's new area is great, but they really dropped the ball when they could have kept the momentum going this year. They don't need to add any new rides for 2023, but they could have kept going with retheming or stating something to that nature. But to have nothing announced, ugh...
Wonerland's announcement really makes it an elite tier flat ride park now - kind of took me by surprise.

I think it’s good they added anything like we brits er happy for you as we don’t get much compared to you Americans
And again Valleyfair gets nothing again. Except maybe some new paint and set of trash cans.
