I bought my 2011 335i e93 brand new in July of 2011 and I’m a single guy with no kids lol my baby has less than 40k miles on it and nobody gets near her
One of your best videos ! Love your description of the owner. And the car is a beauty. Of course! You get some really fantastic cars. Still waiting for you to find a msport convertible with a manual gearbox.
I love my 2011 335i N55 E93. One obviously he wouldn't mention is how cheap it is to mod these cars and get great hp/tq for cheap. They have cheap tunes you can do with an android device to both engine and trans which can put you above 400hp and over 400tq on the stock turbo. I have a lot of mods on mine, see it on YT. Thanks for the great review!!
Thanks for the review. I am a 2011 BMW 335i E93 owner. You are spot on calling this a fun driver's car. Over the years I've owned several sporty cars and the 2011 335i is by far the most enjoyable car to drive. Prospective buyer out there, GET ONE, GET ONE NOW! Another perk of the 335i E9X line not mentioned in the review is their performance upgradability. During development, the 335i E9X cars were capable of higher performance, similar to the M3. Too similar. With performance numbers of the M3 close to the 335i, why spend many thousands of dollars more for the M3? The concerns over M3 sales caused BMW to lower the performance specs while keeping the basic engine & drivetrain for the 335i E9X. As a result, anyone with basic car-guy abilities that's willing to watch a bunch of RUclips, can do all the modifying on the N55 engine. All it takes is a few bolt on components and some reprogramming to turn this standard 302 hp engine into one with well over 450 hp. Mine is right around 485 hp, with much more possible. My total performance replacement part cost, less than$3,500.00. GET ONE NOW!
@@startingtech3900 what's wrong with a powerful convertible? Mine has: upgraded intercooler performance intake VSRM 3.5"d. SS exhaust catless downpipe alum. turbo piping M3 style skirts 19" alum. wheels performance tires software update remapping to stage 2+ All this (and more) makes a new rating of 450hp possible. Even in a convertible!
@@tomwolf7055 haha nothing bro. I’ve just never seen someone mob one like that. Cool bro. I am thinking 335i over m3 v8. Gas is 5.50$ here now really expensive the n55 is better option I think. How reliable is your n55 w those mods and what’s your HP #?
I just closed a deal for one of these, same year, same color, different wheels and slightly less optioned. Going to pick it up in a couple of days. I didn't know how much I would love this car until I sat in one and got to drive it. Just fantastic. The convertible hardtop is outstanding. I figured now is the time to get one with relatively low miles because they aren't getting any younger and they aren't making BMWs with such classic, clean styling anymore. The newest ones are a lot fussier looking.
Oh I have a 2011 M-Sport. Just wait until you get a Stage 2 Turbo in that thing even on 93 octane only! You loose the instantness but it comes on twice as hard and It stays strong all the way to redline.
True, but I think Lexus’s new LC500 with the 5L NA V8 sounds glorious, along with the IS F and RC F. Not to mention the LFA, but that’s an exotic came obviously lol
@@semajharmon5777 It's a great sounding V8 (googled it) but my personal preference is still an I6 BMW engine....closely followed by other I6 engines. I even like the sound of the I6 in the trailblazer (takes cover).
I had a 2008 convertible 135i auto and later a 2007 335i coupe with a stick. Same motor, two flavors of fun. The little convertible would surprise most Mustang GT drivers, but the coupe was such a pure driver and one of the cleanest designs ever. The hardtop isn't quite as pretty, until it's folded away.
My 2009 had a place on the trunk you could use the blade key to open it, but they stopped that in 2010 or 11, now the driver door is the only place the blade key can access the car, and from there you can use the trunk lid release botton by your left foot well.
I agree with you' I can't imagine the pain you went through driving those low liners. 😂For a minute there I thought things were going down hill for Auto Europa.. good to see you back in your comfort zone Bill. Keep up the good work👍
I just found this exact same year, model and color with fewer options at a dealership about an hour from my house. Facebook keeps feeding me ads for cars from dealers in the region. Several of the ones I was interested were sold before I could go look at them. I had time today to go check this car out and when I saw it, sat in it and test drove it I loved it! Deal's done, going to pick it up in a few days.
Learn to use the vehicle.....if you need to put something in the trunk, do it with the top up and it is near full size trunk where you put any taller items towards the front of the trunk and then fold down the partition to bring the top down. You and put two carry on bags in this trunk plus more.
My E93 is the slightly bigger displacement (but down on power) NA 325i. It's cost me in excess of 7 grand in repairs over 3½ years of ownership. Maybe I'm a masochist, but I still love it
biggest problem iv found with the i-drive is here in uk its difficult to operate with your left hand when your right handed .. range rovers touch screen display is far easier to operate with just 1 finger of your left hand
If you turn the dial all the way on the wind defender it retracts the other side as well to lift up.. those Germans are good 😌 Edit: front camera is split screen with left/right views up and down the street from the nose of the car so you can see when pulling out... proper handy😎 Edit edit: dude you got a wind DEFENDER reviewing a convertible🤬 think you totally missed the point! Funny you describe the previous owner as anal retentive yet you yourself keep saying how each finger print or smudge drives you crazy. All your vids are fantastic and your knowledge of these cars is beyond impressive.
Stop...Just...STOP TRYING to talk in technical terms. This engine does NOT HAVE 2 BANKS of 3 CYLINDERS, Because it is not a V6 engine. IT'S AN INLINE 6, which means all 6 cylinders are in one single row. So don't talk Tech about engines anymore---you only expose your ignorance of mechanics.
well you probably got a car that wasn't taken care of properly, or you didn't perform the preventative maintenance. You can't buy a bimmer and expect it to hold up like a toyota celica in terms of longevity when you don't do maintenance all the time

Yeah that glove box ALWAYS breaks, and it is over $400 to fix just to have it break again. I have just gotten used to using the blade.
